If you're using them as a replacement for the ION cymbals, you'll want to get the Pintech single zone cymbals. You can find them on Amazon. This is the one I use on my kit to replace the Hi-Hat: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002F78NU/ref=sxr_rr_xsim1
Hope this helps.
I'm pretty sure that any splitter will do. That link was just the first one that Google showed me.
Although I have spent a good deal of time playing with the settings on my kit over the past few months, I haven't actually tried using the splitter yet. I've been planning to get one and do exactly what OP did, once I have some more gig money to order more cymbal triggers with. (Never enough money for gear. Lol.)
In you example, you'd set one cymbal with the bow and the other with the edge. (If memory serves, you only have the bell setting on the ride cymbal.)
Also... since we're talking about a single zone for the cymbal, you could use one of these. I have two on my kit and I'm quite happy with them. There's no choke, and since they're made from hard rubber the sound of the stick hitting the cymbal is louder than the stock ones, but neither of those things matter to me
I have the Strike kit (not the pro), which comes stock with one less tom and one less cymbal than the pro version. Everything else is the same, including the module and wiring harness, which meant that I had two wires in the harness that were not being used. So, I bought more cymbals. I currently have four cymbals on the kit, with one of them mapped to tom 4. I have to create custom kits to do that, but it works quite well.
To do that mapping, select a kit, then hit the 'triggers' button. Next, enable the 'note chase' and hit the trigger you want to modify. (I normally turn the note chase back off, so that the trigger I'm working with doesn't unexpectedly change.)
I'm going from memory at this point. In the trigger settings, you'll kit the 'F' key below 'Inst' (F4, I think). That will bring up a list of instruments you can map to the trigger. Select the instrument you want.
You can assign two sounds per trigger, but keep an eye on the bar at the top that shows how much space your kit is using. The module will let you exceed the max space, and will even let you save the kit in that state. However, when you load the kit, you'll get a message that says it's too big. The kit will still load, but I assume some of the sounds will be missing. I haven't played with a kit in that state enough to figure out which sounds get left out.
It's pretty easy to exceed the max space when creating custom kits, which is frustrating. AFAIK, there's no way to increase it - I'm pretty sure it's limited by the amount of RAM in the module.
Important: Once you're done, press 'save'. You'll get a screen that allows you to name the kit. It will then be available under 'User' from the main screen. The module stores user kits in alphabetical order.
The Pintech TC 10" is $40, cymbal only.
I ended up replacing the ION cymbals on the entire set. I'm using the single zone Pintech TC's on the set. The sensitivity is nice. I have a TC10 I'm using as the hi-hat (https://www.amazon.com/Pintech-Percussion-TC10-Trigger-Cymbal/dp/B0002F78NU/) and 2 TC14's for the crash and ride (https://www.amazon.com/Pintech-Percussion-TC14-Trigger-Cymbal/dp/B0002F78O4/). These cymbals already come with a strikepad to soften the noise, and you can get extra strikepads as well if needed.
