This Pixio is tempting. Also depressing a brand I've never heard of before has a warranty that's three times longer than Samsung's.

It’s this one and yeah I’m gonna try to use an hdmi cable and see if it still crashes real quick
1440p is surpisingly cheap these days. I just got a 1440p IPS 27inch one a few weeks back and man, coming from 1080p TN panel, its like i leapt 20 years into the future. Crazy the difference in clarity and colour.
This is the one i bought:

Side question (you seem to know a good amount, so I'd love to get your take):

I've been pricing out different monitors in the sub $300 range, and I've heard good feedback from Pixio monitors as good bang for your buck. I've been shopping this one specifically, but do you have any initial thoughts or impressions of Pixio for this price range?
Any chance you could link the DisplayPort cord I should get that would support 1440p and 165hz? I have this monitor. The pixio prime 7 is a similar monitor that is $50 cheaper btw for those interested! Always good to have options
It was a cheap 1440p gaming monitor from Amazon, just a stopgap until I can afford a good one, but from going from the 5K iMac to this, it was immediately noticeable how bad the colours were, it made everyone look slightly tinted green.. managed to get it almost to how the MacBook looks. Going to upgrade soon to a nice LG screen, so I’m not too worried. But with doing video editing it really wasn’t good. It was this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08FXZVJH6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Y5K74KZ4B28J2V21HR41?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
How often do you upgrade your monitor? I've had a BenQ XL2430T 24 Inch 144hz since 2016 and am wondering if its worth an upgrade. How much of an improvement will a modern monitor? I've been looking at this 27 inch 144hz monitor. What will the differences, if any, be?
I was looking at that second one too, I'd rather get a 27 inch. 32 gets too stretched out imo. If I can't find Dell it was either gonna be that one or this one https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08FXZVJH6/?coliid=IL0CY52TAJM94&colid=2QEAA0EJB2RIT&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
I heard the Pixio is actually better.
I just bought two (one for me, one as a gift) of the Pixio PX277 Prime 27 inch 165Hz IPS HDR WQHD 2560 x 1440 Wide Screen Display 1440p 165Hz 144Hz Flat FreeSync Esports Gaming Monitor - $309 at Aamzon US
Wha you get:
1440p
IPS
up to 165hz with Display Port (144hz for HDMI)
FreeSync and GSync
1x DP, 2x HDMI
Until recently I didn't have a GPU that could drive 1440p so I didnt even bother with looking at anything but 1080 class monitors. Now I do (5700XT) and even though I won't be able to drive AAA games at super high refresh, eventually I will get another GPU and I will be able to push more. By the time I "outgrow" this monitor, 4K 120hz monitors will be $300.
I bought my son a BenQ 27-Inch 60hz 1080p (RL2755HM) monitor in 2015 for $220. He still uses it today. Its about to become his second monitor (one of the Pixio's is for him). I expect it will get moved to something in 5 years when the 1440p monitor get relegated. My whole point is this - Find a price you can live with. Find the BEST monitor you can at that price point even if you don't have a GPU that can dive that or you play games that stress it because GPUs and games move MUCH faster than monitors. When you exceed the capability of that monitor, get a new one and move that to a second or even third monitor. Or move it to an older system. My new monitor will replace a 25" 1080p monitor which will become the display for a RP4. His oldest display will go to his 2015 gaming system that got replaced in May and turned into a dedicated retro rig. Dont view a monitor as a dedicated part of a single system but an addition to your overall computer eco system. Buy todays monitor with an eye toward it eventually being another part of a larger system.
If you want to get the most out of the series x, just saying go with the 1440p atleast, trust me man! Your money, your choice brother! Here, just found another monitor around your pricetag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FXZVJH6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_1.RSFbTCBNVW1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/Pixio-Display-FreeSync-Esports-Monitor/dp/B08FXZVJH6
Could anyone please tell me whether i could use this monitor in europe with a 220v outlet? I messsaged Pixio customer service and they referred me to their pdf manual that does not mention this so idk where else to ask, thx.
This is the closest monitor on amazon that fits your needs in your budget.. and even that is tough.
Remember, a monitor is one of the most important parts on a computer
I just got this and it’s stunning https://www.amazon.com/Pixio-Display-FreeSync-Esports-Monitor/dp/B08FXZVJH6
Thanks! Unfortunately none of them are in my price range at the moment. What are you thoughts on the Pixio PX277 Prime? I've not really heard of this brand but the reviews seem to be pretty good. Hardware Unboxed seems to like the monitor but the video is about 2 years old now.
The Pixio PX277 Prime, which is $220 once the coupon is applied. Hardware Unboxed highly recommended this monitor in their review
There's also the Dark Matter by Monoprice, which is currently on sale for $230, and from what little I can find about it, it's getting decent reviews even when compared to monitors at its usual $350 price point.
The Pixio PX277 Prime is the best I can find at $339:
I recently bought this monitor. I absolutely love it and have nothing bad to say.
Pixio PX277 Prime 27 inch 165Hz... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FXZVJH6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This monitor is 1440p, 27in, 165hz/144hz, 1ms, IPS, and is $260 - https://www.amazon.com/Pixio-Display-FreeSync-Esports-Monitor/dp/B08FXZVJH6/ref=sr_1_3?crid=Y0L4W47FFFS2&keywords=pixio%2B1440p%2B144hz&qid=1644088876&sprefix=pixio%2B1440%2Caps%2C126&sr=8-3&th=1
Yes you can mix brands and response times but it is best to have the same monitor for dual/triple setups

> Anyone own the H3 hybrid and/or H3 pro hybrid? > > Still own a perfectly good pair of Senny Game Ones from like 4 years ago but I have been wanting something wireless for some time. The H3 hybrid are currently on sale on Amazon (well my local Amazon anyway) so it's extra tempting whilst the H3 pro has the 2.4GHz wireless mode which I really would like. The price difference is substantial but it's not too-too bad.

I have this one and it’s beautiful.

I use a Pixio 27" It has HDMI 2.0 (which you need for 1440p 120hz) and the screen to support those features. Sometimes it drops down to $250.

Hi OP! Congrats on your new job! Game development is super competitive so, props. Here's what I'd recommend if you're okay with building yourself. Brief overview- 8 Cores, the 16 Gigs of RAM you said you'd need with enough DIMM slots to upgrade to 32, a good KBM, and what should be decent everything else.
For prebuilts, I'd check out this ABS prebuilt and just use the peripherals recommended in the list.
For a breakdown of the lists components-
10700F is a good value 8 core, and should handle almost any task you throw at it.
SE-224-XT is a great value air cooler, and outperforms the U12S (albeit, that's a very low bar).
GTQ is a great budget B560, and has great VRMs for the price. B560 GTQ has a direct 10-phase VCore with NCP303151 50A DrMOS.
Silicon Power is fine memory, and should run at stock speeds just fine- same mediocre RAM dies as most 3200 MHz CL16 kits - 8 Gigabit AFR, MFR, Nanya A-Die, Revision B.
MP33 is a decent budget NVMe, switching between SM2263XT and E13T, and 96 Layer TLC from Intel/Toshiba.
As I'm sure you're aware, we're in the middle of a silicon shortage, so you'll have to see what you can get for the GPU. However, I did give you a few recommendations.
NR400 is a good enough, cheap enough case.
MSI MPG is a relatively good PSU for the price.
P12 Co is good static pressure, and cheap for a DBB fan.
KB/M get the job done while not being horrible.
And for monitor, I'd check this out- it's a great monitor and it's at a great price right now.
If you've any questions, let me know.

UK Based. Looking for a 1440p 144hz IPS monitor primarily for gaming.
Ideally I would get the Gigabyte M27Q, the reviews for it are extraordinary and it beats everything else at the £300-350 price point, ^((not to mention KVM)^) but it is out of stock everywhere.
This leaves the next best within that range as:
Pixio PX277 Prime - £319.99 - can reach 165hz
Thoughts? I can't pick between these, if the M27Q was in stock it would be a done deal but alas. Any recommendations instead?
this 27 inch 1440p IPS seems like a good deal if you’d rather have a 27 inch
Consider the Pixio PX277 Prime, it isn't on sale and has always been priced at £320- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Display-FreeSync-Ultimate-eSports-Monitor/dp/B08FXZVJH6/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&m=AL1GTGPRMI1Q9&marketplaceID=A1F83G8C2ARO7P&qid=1606427038&s=merchant-items&sr=1-1
Got a good review from Hardware Unboxed- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvm5BakaWqs&t=598s&ab_channel=HardwareUnboxed
When looking the monitor up don't get it confused with the Pixio PX7 Prime, which is an older and more expensive model.
If you want the monitor to be 1440p 120hz w/ VRR/Freesync on the Series X, follow this thread or that .
Personally, I went with the Pixio PX277 Prime. It's confirmed 1440p 120hz w/ Freesync on the series X. Arriving tomorrow, so I haven't got a chance to play with it yet but heard good things. Gonna use this until 4k 120hz gets cheaper. Didn't want to break the bank yet on a monitor. Will reply to this post with an update after I receive it.

Got this nice midrange on Amazon. Set to 1440p/120hz on my Series X. Running Warzone at 120 FPS with no issues
Is this one he one you have? Pixio PX277 Prime 27 inch 165Hz IPS HDR WQHD 2560 x 1440 Wide Screen Display 1440p 165Hz 144Hz Flat FreeSync Esports Gaming Monitor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FXZVJH6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_b7eRFbE4KXPR2
Here you go, this is a 165hz if you use a display port and a 144hz if you use a HDMI cable. It’s got HDR too and the reviews are pretty good.
This is a 32 inch, I know you didn’t ask for this but, it’s good for the price - here
It’s rather strange. IPS panels seem to come a lot more with 24 inch models, for some reason a lot of them say LCD, even though they’re allegedly IPS panels with the 27 inch. But, I hope this helps.
>the 144hz is through the Display port. most of the times when you see these numbers advertised for a monitor it's for the display port because PCs primarily use that. sometimes you have to read the details to see what is supported through HDMI. I recommend these builds as well, preferably the one you build yourself that saves you 300 dollars. Buying a 2080 super for the same price as a 3080 is the definition of punching yourself in the nuts.
You could also go cheaper on the 1440p monitor, the ones I list below have had good reviews. This LG monitor is notable for its response times though. As for the monitor the OP had in his Cyberpower build, I wouldn't recommend 1080p at 27 inches, I find that to be too blurry, with ppi down to 82. Either 1440p at 27 inches, or 1080p at 24 inches.
Also here are some 1440p monitors, ranging from $300 to $430, check out reviews when you can.
