I would suggest buying a plantronics, I was never disappointed and they don't seem to break. (I destroy headsets very quickly):D
Edit: https://www.amazon.de/Plantronics-GameCom-388-Stereo-Headset/dp/B00LNK4SJA/ref=sr_1_5?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1469295374&sr=1-5&keywords=plantronics+headset maybe this one? I heave the bigger brother of this headset and I'm happy with it.
i have a pair of Plantronics Gamecom 380 which im selling used for £12
What do you think about these? Plantronics Gamecom 388
About to buy the Monoprice+Zalman combo, just want last opinion on the Plantronics.
Its little brother, the 380, is also on sale for 20£ instead of 35. It doesn't have USB but has a great sound quality and is incredibly comfortable - I've tried virtually every Plantronics headset out there and this is the only one I can withstand during the entire workday.
Personally I'm way down the cheaper end but I use the Plantronics GameCom 388. Sound quality from it is pretty decent, it's perfectly comfortable and the mic quality is surprisingly good. Of course it's not in the same league as some of the others mentioned in this thread but for the equivalent of about $35-50 it's served me well for a few years now despite falling on the floor probably several times a day.
For £15 there isn't much that will sound better than a laptop microphone, but on Amazon right now, this headset is on sale. It is owned by a friend of mine who doesn't like to buy expensive things and it doesn't sound awful. It's definitely better than any laptop microphone I have heard.
I don't know if this will help or if he had headphones/headset already, but I think it's the best option.
I have these. Used for about a month, still in box.
£12 posted?
Does anyone have experience with this headset?
Going to be used for gaming/listening to music at home
I run Plantronics Gamecom 388 and they are awesome. ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-GameCom-3-5mm-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00LNK4SJA ) If you are wearing glasses, they might be uncomfortable for a while, but once they break in, they are good.
