Good catch, i meant to say intellicenter is what i would go with. That way you get out of screenlogic and you get the latest and greatest for automation, color touch screen in the load center and built in wifi instead of having to use an ethernet cable.
I have only talked to people who use it. But i have been told it uses a built in web browser to interact with instead of the app. I have the screenlogic app on my phone and i would much rather have a browser so i can build automation via webhooks or screenscraping to my home automation system.
An overview: https://www.penguinpool.com/pool-options/pool-equipment/pool-automation/
I use these aftermarket filters: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002866G4S
They cost about half of the pentair filters. I have lots of pollen in my pool and while my robot takes it out well (using a superfine mesh filter) i decided to replace the filters a bit more frequently than others do. I am very happy with these filters btw.
Final thing. You need a pool robot. Its the best thing since sliced bread. I had a pressure side robot but switched to electric and my pool has never had a better and cleaner bottom. I got this one, largely based off my brothers recommendation. I have been really happy with it. Added a superfine mesh filter for $50 and it cleans like nobody's business. https://lesliespool.com/polaris-vrxiq-robotic-pool-cleaner-with-iaqualink-control/630436.html
The robot was on sale when i bought it. i think i paid $900 or so for it a few years back. I'm very happy with it. I use the wireless app on my phone to control spot cleaning and to maneuver it to the place where i take it out of the pool. Otherwise i just use the keypad on the base station to start it. I don't keep the robot in the pool except when it is running.
