Get a dehumidifier bro. I got this one after having an issue with WPM, and it got shit in check so my second plant survived the battle! My central AC dehumidifies fairly well, but I still have mini-dehumidifiers in the closets and bathrooms. There are many other brands that all look exactly the same - and I'm sure they're all the same OEM. All these mini-dehumidifiers are Peltier-effect coolers, so they're very quiet, and not very power hungry either.
These are cheap (about $30), and I run them 24/7. They've been running for >2 years now without any issues. The water tanks need to be emptied about once a week. Makes a huge difference in small enclosed spaces.
I have a 2x2 and live in San Diego, so luckily I only needed a small one to do the trick. If you look at the very beginning of the video, it looks like the vent tube goes out the window. So at least he's got that right.
You could probably get all the necessary parts by buying a small dehumidifier - this one is only $35 from Amazon.
But I agree, it's a very weak, very inefficient air conditioner.
It was this one and it was $35. Big lame.

There's a ton a different rebranded versions of this dehumidifier that gets recommended here.
I think this is the cheapest version of it (I picked this one up myself for a wine fridge build). Currently has a 5% coupon so don't forget to click that and get it even cheaper.
The portable, overnight, onewheel dry-out kit:
You pop the OW and the dehumidifier in the plastic tote, snap on the lid, good to go. Cheaper than potentially having to send back for repairs, if it's getting wet alot. Or, yeah, bite the bullet and badger the bad boy👍

I don't ride where it's wet very often, so haven't badgered mine yet either. It's on the list. The dehumidifier seems to work well for me, the few times I've been caught in a downpour and puddles.
Another option... do you happen to have a 50lb. burlap sack full of rice?
Ok, this one time, I happened to drop my phone in a toilet... you see where I'm going with this? 😉
I use this one with an inkbird controller for it.
Glad you got it figured out.
I bought this one, which is a rebanded version of a commonly recommended one. I think other identical brands might be a little cheaper.
Maybe try a small dehumidifier? It won't solve the whole problem, but could make a dent. I own a model very similar to this one and use it in my bathroom. Even a short shower overwhelms it, but it has kept mold from growing on the walls. It is a Peltier-style dehumidifier with no compressor, so it uses very little electricity and is nearly silent. I'm also in Seattle (though I'm not in a van. Yet.)
