I got some like this that were terrible. Then I found this one on Amazon that actually sounds good:

I'd either go the bluetooth route (get a bluetooth adapter + use BT speaker of your choice), or grab a headphone amp or speaker.

I stick to headphones, and have only tried this 3.5mm powered speaker: Amazon Link

This speaker works great and pumps a lot of volume. I use it on my switch, PSP, and 3dses. It's still not the most comfortable thing to deal with weight wise, but I'd still recommend it.

My next step might be some of the neck speakers / wearable speakers / wraparound speakers. Otherwise, just headphones.
