This one was the most cost effective one I could find after doing a bunch of research recently. I bought it for more or less the same reason, but not to use with Ouya.
At $40 it's not the cheapest, but cheaper than buying a new TV.
upvoted for legitimate question (though easily googled, everyone has to start somewhere).
you will want this https://www.amazon.com/Portta-PETHRV-Component-Converter-Channels/dp/B00J22LGYG
it might be better to just chunk the tv though, as devices with hdmi are cheap enough, especially secondhand. nothings cheaper than free...but sometimes the headaches arent worth it.
There offered both composite and component but yeah, no HDMI. Meaning you'd need a converter box like this one which would upscale the PSP signal to HDMI.
I'm just saying out of the two, get the component. Composite -> HDMI is a larger jump and would result in greater input lag.
According to CNET your DVI is DVI-HDCP. It could be a handshake issue with the HDCP encryption.
Try this instead:

It will convert HDMI to Component which your TV supports. Your DVI connection won't carry audio.
Yes, but it's an active device. Here's an example of one. Note that because it's an active device it may introduce additional video lag.
Just so you know, RCA (yellow for video, red/white for audio) is not HD capable. If your TV is an HDTV with no HDMI input, then it surely has Component inputs (Thats a red, blue, and green cable for video, and red/white for audio). You'd need a converter like this one to get a high-def image.
If you're actually trying to plug your Xbox One into a standard non-HD TV, then the other converters people have linked here would work fine.
Well obviously you need a VHS recoder/player to do anything, so I assume you already have one. Just look what inputs it has, and then get a HDMI to <input interface> converter. Most common ones will be component, composite or SCART.
HDMI to Component: https://www.amazon.com/Portta-Component-Converter-support-Channels/dp/B00J22LGYG
Composite: https://www.amazon.com/GANA-Composite-Converter-Adapter-Supporting/dp/B01L8P11LC/
HDMI to SCART: https://www.amazon.com/J-Tech-Digital-JTD-HDMI-SCART-Converter-Downscaler/dp/B00NX0KVLC/
Find out the input on your TV that works and get an HDMI to (whatever) converter. This may or may not work, but you get the idea: https://www.amazon.com/Portta-PETHRV-Component-Converter-Channels/dp/B00J22LGYG
So SCART came up with a French anagram for something, but it sounds like you need a hub with some component, composite or svideo outputs? If that's the case here's one example here. Good luck.
You probably will need a mini hdmi to hdmi wire or connector, I don't think that has a full hdmi port.
Edit: if you had a few hdmi hookups you can add a chromecast or any firestick or what have you. You can run an HDMI from your PC to TV and that's what I do. I access my DVR online and if you're a little savvy you might find interest in this .
You could try this - https://www.amazon.com/Portta-PETHRV-Component-Converter-Windows-10/dp/B00J22LGYG
HDCP might give you issues with games, no idea how that works with linux though.
This came in, and this works.
Just tried 6 random blu-rays and they all play.
Thank you, iamofnohelp.
Couldn't something like this work? I do have the Y,Pr,Pb input.
Broken xbox aside, if your 55in tv was 720p or 1080p, you could have just gotten an adapter to convert hdmi to component: http://www.amazon.com/Portta-PETHRV-Component-YPbPr-Converter/dp/B00J22LGYG
Works fine on my Vizio 55" that is a few years old, and a new 70" Vizio.
This would be a better option if you have an older/standard definition TV.
Or maybe I'll just order this one: http://www.amazon.com/Portta-PETHRV-Component-YPbPr-Converter/dp/B00J22LGYG
Just a heads up that is an hdmi to composite converter. If you're looking for component you need something like this Portta PETHRV HDMI to Component YPbPr Plus R/L Audio Converter v1.3 1080P https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J22LGYG/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_l...vb962709Y
Or this
http://www.hdfury.com/shop/videoprocessors/hd-fury-iii/ Which is the he best one, but costs more than a new TV.
http://www.hdfury.com/shop/videoprocessors/hd-fury-iii/
This is the best one. It's. Only $250.00.
I've used this one and it was mostly okay, it was a little blurry, and cut the edges off slightly. Portta PETHRV HDMI to Component YPbPr Plus R/L Audio Converter v1.3 1080P https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J22LGYG/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_1etSvbBYD68XT
> http://www.amazon.com/Portta-PETHRV-Component-YPbPr-Converter/dp/B00J22LGYG#
I use the HDMI to VGA on one of my secondary gaming screens. I use a headset for audio.
http://www.amazon.com/Portta-PETHRV-Component-YPbPr-Converter/dp/B00J22LGYG
This might help with the search, converts hdmi to component.
Coupled with a raspberry pi with Kodi installed should work fairly well.
Well I'm not well versed in televisions so if no one else can help you I'd look into hardware solutions like E-More® HDMI to Component Video (YPbPr) Converter Supporting HDCP 1.2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J22LGYG/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_m-fRub171NMM8
