You sound like you know enough to spout some terms, but not enough to know what you're actually talking about.
The last two points you made are either wrong entirely, or missing the point.
I'd highly recommend you read this cover to cover before you aim to correct someone on this subject. https://www.amazon.com/Power-Conversion-Control-Energy-Systems/dp/0470593652
The book focuses primarily on wind energy conversation, but the concepts discussed in the first couple chapters apply to solar. There are many books on this topic, but this one is particularly well written.
