YMMV. BTW Canadian retail is quite different from US retail. Enough so that day trips to go shopping in USA were quite common. So for you it might not be worth it, but for me it is. Closest alternatives for me is Walmart Supercenter, and I don't like their produce or meat; or Canadian Tire which has no groceries.

This type of price difference is pretty normal in my experience.
So for ME it is usually not worth looking elsewhere if Costco has it. But Costco product availability is hit and miss. Early in the season I saw a bundle of two small space heaters, the type you put under an office desk, for a low price (don't remember how much). But how many people need two! Those space heaters were gone by December.
