That’s amazing, we were actually thinking of Gandalf too haha. Our cats are named Gary, and Grayson, so we wanted another G name to fit the family.

As for the coconut, I bought a regular coconut without the moss on it for that exact reason you brought up. This is the one I got, and little Gizmo loves it so far:

I believe it’s meant for birds, but it’s just a normal coconut and is the perfect size for him. Then we just put some of this Sphagnum Moss in there for him so we know what it is:

If you use this as your moist hide, all you need to do is mist the moss every now and then, and replace it from time to time as it comes with plenty. I hope it helps and hope little Gandalf loves it if you decide to go down this route!

For two crabs you’ll need 20 gallons of aquarium space. Mostly everything on Amazon is a bundle for fish, so it comes with stuff like the filter, heater, etc which those you don’t need. I know petco and petsmart both have just regular glass tanks with nothing else, and both of them sell glass lids as well to fit the tanks!

As for toys: a bunch of people’s (mine included) crabs like the coconut huts, cholla wood, and also things like hammocks and vines for them to climb on.
