you should do some research into sales led growth versus product led growth for SAAS products. I believe you are going to fall into the product led growth model for your business.

there is a science behind pricing and for you, i think you need to keep things simple:
Free to sign up and use. give them usage of the product for a fixed number of days (eg: 7 days, or whatever you pick). then when it expires, you give them a chance to upgrade and pay for it. This way, they used the product, like it and now they have to pay to keep using it. Im over simplifying it but you get the idea. If they dont want to upgrade, that should trigger something on your sales team to have a follow to find out why they dont want to upgrade (too pricey, didnt find it useful, etc).
This is a really good book I liked that give me alot of insight help me form my own sales strategy: https://www.amazon.com/Product-Led-Growth-Build-Product-Itself-ebook/dp/B07P6288ZF/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=
Check out this whitepaper from Price Intelligently. I read it when I first joined a SaaS company and needed to get up to speed on pricing strategies. I found the content to be easy to understand and had some helpful suggestions.
I also found Wed Bush's Product Led Growth book really helpful. It covers a lot of topics outside of strategy, but tons of good ideas in it.
