I just replaced my ear pads last week. Very straightforward. There's basically tiny snap on clips around the edge and you just pop them off. Put the new pads in using the same clips.

The bose are hand me down therefore I do not want to ask my gracious gifter because that would be rude of me. And I never had such great earphones so I know nothing about them! Thanks for your help!
