This looks like the least expensive one that I could find on Amazon that's C weighted.
So lets do the Audio Math here....
You say your MLP is roughly 9ft from the speakers.
@ 9FT you're just shy of 9dB of audio loss just from the distance.

The Q150's have a sensitivity of 86dB @ 2.83v @ 1m
What this means is you're getting 86dB of volume(SPL) from those speakers while feeding it a 2.83v signal when standing 1meter away.
2.83v into 8ohms is 1watt.

So X1700h has a wattage rating of 80watts 2 channels driven, say conservatively you're getting 40watts to each of your front three speakers.
With 3 speakers, some room gain, ect... feeding those each 40watts, you should be hitting 101dB SPL at your MLP.
101dB is freaking LOUD.

What I would recommend here is getting yourself a c weighted spl meter https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Backlight-Accuracy-Measuring-30dB-130dB/dp/B01N7I08EJ and see what your actual peak SPL measurements are at your MLP while the AVR is at 0dB (reference level).
If you're no where near 100dB then something isn't right here.
