Just did two nights on one of these, with some other blankets for padding. It worked great. I have a full size folding 4 in mattress topper, I’m gonna try next time. Are thick mats good for doing core exercises such as planks, crunches, and other such that you lay on the mat? would always have problems doing things such as crunches since my tailbone would always hurt when doing them, which is why I wanted to look into something such as 1-1.5 inch thick mats, instead of a yoga mat (I tried it and even though I felt the pain less, it was still there).
For example I am looking into a mat like something such a: https://www.amazon.com/Prosource-Tri-Fold-Folding-Thick-Exercise/dp/B01ENULZ7E/ref=sr\_1\_1?keywords=exercise+back+mat&qid=1643748199&sr=8-1
Not very experienced with crash pads, is there any reason why you can’t use something like this?

These Rogue cushions are something like $250. Just a heads up that you can buy these off-brand gym mats, leave them folded up, and it's just as good... for $60...
Sorry Rogue buddies. You're my midwest homies, but when you pull bullshit like making people pay $250 for foam, you're gonna have a bad time :)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ENULZ7E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2tRMFb2RJZDXE Since I'm so big I really have to have a huge yoga mat and once I bought a big fluffy squishy yoga mat like the one above that is comfortable to sit your knees on your butt bones and you don't feel the ground because like the normal thin yoga mats you can feel the ground when you're on your knees it's not comfortable so. But once I got this mat my life completely changed because I found myself wanting to sprawl out on my mat each morning and each night and I would find myself starting to stretch before it bad and when you shake the day off of your body through a really nice stretch before bed your body thanks you so much because you don't go to bed wearing the stress of the day because you stretched it off of your back and you got all the kinks off.
I bought this one for stretches and bodyweight exercises at home on non-gym days. I've got a wood floor and even on the rug it does not feel good doing ab work or things like planks without extra padding. So far so good, I figured I'd start with the cheap one and work up. I've used it about 20 times so far without any issues. I'm not beating it up or putting a ton of pressure on it though, so it just depends on how much abuse you're going to dish out... if it's a lot you might go up to a real gymnastics or wrestling mat that you can really beat the hell out of. I'm just over 200lbs at the momment.
