If you like the PS4 controller and the USB cord solution just get a phone clip for the PS4 controller, they are like $8: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQ0BGOL
Also Razer Kishi goes around the edges of your phone and plugs into the USB-C port with pass-through charging port on the controller itself, idk if it would fit yours but mine fits on my Galaxy S20+ WITH a Ringke Fusion X case on it also (had to remove the little rubber grips from the Kishi though). Maybe look up the dimensions of your phone vs mine
I've never tried this but I just use a dualshock 4 and a mount I bought off of Amazon, and it works well with my android phone. I would imagine the Dualshock has better feeling buttons.
It can make the controller feel top heavy so longer sessions could make your hands tired. You have to take the phone out of the mount to set it down without it tipping over.
The mount I got works well with my s10+ but anything bigger or heavier probably wouldn't work. So YMMV depending on the mount you get
So if I'm reading you right, you just bought the vita purely for remote play?
Because if so yeah, it's not a good experiance for action games. Too much of a delay. IMO this isn't just a remote play problem, just the reality of any type of game streaming. It takes more time to send video signal wirelessy, that's just a fact, and if you care about the difference between 30 and 60 fps you're going to be frusterated with that experience.
You can get a case that gives you physical buttons.
Sorry you're dissapointed. The vita has a ton of really great games worth checking out, but if all you really care about is remote play then yeah you're probably better off returning it.
Just get a phone clip for your DS4, you'll have a much better time.
I am using my PS4 controller thich is great. For iPad gaming it's good as you can set ipat to stand in its own with a case, but for iPhone i got an additional stand for cheap like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Controller-Holder-Bracket-Playstation/dp/B01MQ0BGOL
For me this works perfectly. If you prefer Xbox controller, there are the same plastic stands for those too.
It took me a while to figure this out so I just want to clarify for anyone else who might be making the same mistake.
ON THE APP, go to settings (gear icon) and SIGN OUT if you’ve already setup remote play previously. Then sign into your secondary account.
basically you want to always keep your remote play app signed into your secondary account.
-As stated by OP, switch to your secondary account on PS4, THEN start remote play and switch to your primary account.
Also I wanna suggest getting a mount for your DS4, makes the experience all the better. Here’s the one I’m using
Following this thread because I am in the same boat. I tried this out. But it is very hard to put on and harder still to take out. So if you plan to remove the mount regularly (like me), this product doesn't work.
Yeah, but when a family member is using the TV my PC is connected to, I stream to my laptop or even phone to play. I got one of these PS4 phone mounts to use when I'm streaming to my phone, works nicely.
This one! :)
