Kit is Pusheen: A Cross Stitch Kit, available on Amazon here. I haven't cross stitched for a couple of years now, and I wanted to start out with something a bit smaller. Really happy with the way this turned out. If anyone has any advice please let me know!
I work at a big chain bookstore and we carry them! They’re tiny little boxes and at my store they’re kept on an acrylic spinner with other small boxes, mostly collectible things. Also I did a quick search and found this on amazon and I’m pretty sure it’s the same thing :)
My first time finishing, and it’s these cute Pusheens! Finishing sucks, and my fabric was too thick to fit in the frame, so I had to cut the back, fit the fabric in, and then tape the back on. The backs to these are atrocious, but I’m pretty happy with the fronts. Let me know any tips or tricks to make it easier in the future!
I got the patterns from the pusheen cross stitch kit. You can find it on amazon
Happy cake day!
I think you need to get yourself this pusheen cross-stitch kit! It’s super cute and looks like it would be a great first cross-stitch to try out! Also, it’s only $9.90 so if it’s something new your trying out it’s not too expensive 🤷🏻♀️
This was one of three designs from this kit by Running Press.
The good: The designs are super cute! They provide enough materials to do all 3 designs. The materials are okay - about what I would expect with a not-very-high-end kit.
The bad: The instructions are not great. The "how to cross stitch" section is just paragraphs of text, spread across teeny tiny pages, with no diagrams! They also say to stitch with 1 strand, which seems wrong (I used 2, although more on that in a moment). On the pattern pages, the grey and the dark brown are hard to tell apart, and the legend just says "Color 1", "Color 2" etc. Would it have killed them to say things like "Light Grey" and "Pink"?
The ugly: The needles!! This kit came with 2(!) needles... both of them wildly inappropriate sharps with tiny eyes that are nigh impossible to thread with ONE strand of floss, much less 2. Unfortunately I was on vacation and did not have any other supplies with me. I persevered and double-stitched with a single strand, but it was aggravating.
On the bright side, if the point of cross stitch is to pass the time, I guess I got extra value! At least I didn't stab myself and bleed all over Pusheen.

Here's the official kit I started from. The hoop is terrible but it was a nice little kit otherwise! Plenty of extra floss that I used for the extras.

The grey thread it came with and I got into an argument and I had to try and replace it, which is why the colour is different.
I kind of muddled through it, but I think I improved. Will have to read some more hints before I start another project

We both need one of these because it is a nice relaxing hobby and a positive distraction. I actually would like it for my daughter to get her into hobbies like this, latch hooking is next.
Oh my god I did it. I'm so proud of myself! Some friends of mine picked up cross stitch, and I was all 'yeah this sounds like something I hate myself just enough to do', so I bought the Pusheen cross stitch kit off Amazon and got to stitching. The bottom's a little off but I didn't notice it until I was completely finished, so... hopefully the recipient just doesn't look too hard. I absolutely love cross stitch as a craft and I'm so excited to start my next project!
My SIL (sister-in-law) has been cross stitching for I think a year or two and she finally got me hooked on it too a couple of weeks ago!
I made it my goal to finish this set of 3 Pusheen patterns before school started again (I work as a teacher and it's busier than ever due to the current situation). I made some mistakes but I had so much fun doing it that I honestly don't care (that much...).
The three patterns came as a set with the pink hoop, fabric and floss from Amazon. My SIL was so kind and gifted me two extra hoops (the set came with only the pink one) so that I could display my first set properly.
Massive shout out to my awesome SIL Tess! I don't think I could deal with all the stress of finishing college and work without such a calming hobby as cross stitch!
I've started crossstitching. A little. My advice is don't start with this. Crossstitch is not difficult in itself. It's the pattern complexity that creates difficulty. The number of colors, size of the pattern, even the size of the cloth can make a pattern much harder.
If you want to start, get a really easy pattern. I'm talking 2 square inches. This is what I started on: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0762492279/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_An5BCbNRGF35Z it took me ~8 hours. You'll know by the end if you want to try something more difficult.
Pattern is in the pusheen cross stitch kit with a few changes, I found it on amazon.

I usually recommend the Pusheen kit. Cute and beginner friendly. https://www.amazon.com/dp/0762492279/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_XTT0TEPQR3NZPBJ1ZDWP
Thanks for the support everyone. The pattern is from the "Pusheen: A Cross Stitch Kit" which can be found on Amazon (Pusheen: A Cross-Stitch Kit https://www.amazon.ca/dp/0762492279/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lRpjCbKZRXW0E).

The instructions are clear and I think the size of each pattern is perfect for beginners!
After purchasing this Pusheen Cross-Stitch Kit on a whim I became hooked on cross-stitching, so of course I immediately dove off the deep end and bought this beautiful kit off Amazon Japan -- that was May 2021. It was going to be a for my dad, but sadly he passed that November. Yet, I remained determined to finish the piece... and here we are, a year and a month later.
...
In another cruel twist, I've now discovered the kit I'd purchased was only a poor approximation of the Anchor Maia Sakura cross stitch kit, which seems to be out of print? There is also a companion kit called "Misaki". The patterns for both also seem to be available on Etsy, but I don't know if they're legitimate either. The art itself appears to be by an American artist by the name of Keith Mallett.
Wish I had known all this before starting... now I don't even want to display it :(...

I used a Pusheen kit I found on Amazon here.
Pattern is from this kit which caught my eye by the checkout at Barnes & Noble and I was a sucker, so I bought it.

It’s one strand by mistake, next one will be fluffier, but they were delighted with how easy it is to backstitch text - I foresee more in the future!
I wanted to try cross-stitching and everything got so overwhelming, so I went with this cheap pre-made kit on amazon
I just looked for it and found it on amazon 😍 it's not even that expensive... costs around 8€ 😍
The Pusheen cross stitch kit would be perfect. It’s simple, but cute, and has everything you need for the project.
