For flooding you can buy or make some sort of Flood gate/barrier. It saved my basement from flooding during Ida, last minute I took a piece of plywood the size of my door and laid some bricks I had laying around in front of it and it stopped any water coming in just in time. I was thinking of buying a legit flood gate Quick Dam QDFG30 FloodGate, Doorway (flood gate) but My house never floods knock on wood during rain storms, that was a special kind of day lol

I was looking at this one but it is pricey..so I’m considering making one out of plywood (via a YouTube video tutorial) and also buying sandbags or cmu blocks to put in front of it when needed. I put a piece of wood in front of my back door during the storm and it actually stopped more Water from coming in. But I def want a stronger one cus who knows what’s to come next.

I went ahead and dropped the $ on a different Quick Dam product. Am hoping the cost is offset by saved carpeting and such.
