Looks great! Maybe you’re lacking in the lighting department? A monitor light bar will take your setup to the next level. Grab yourself one of these:

I was skeptical at first, but this thing has been my favorite upgrade to my space. It bathes only your desktop work area in nice warm light, and since you can’t see the light source, it almost feels magical. Do yourself a favor and get one.
Same!! It’s good background content while I’m editing but it does get distracting at times haha. And it is a light bar made by ‘Quntis’ you can find it on Amazon!! And those are my computer / tv speakers edifier Luna eclipse…bought them years ago but they’ve been holding up just great.
Link to the light bar…
I linked it below; it is just a cheap one from amazon. I thought about the BenQ because I like the wireless puck controller thing, but I didn't want to pay that much money. However, I've read that having an overhead light is good for focus which is why I purchased it.
The light over the monitor is this Light bar with a Logitech C920 webcam tied on with a zip tie. However, there's a right-angle USB-C cable I'm using as the normal cable goes back straight from the top and wouldn't leave room for the webcam to sit on it.
Definitely the cable management is the first thing that comes to my mind that can definitely be improved. U can get some raceways or cable run them under the desk. Then next thing i would do is build 2 low profile slide out draws attached under the desk so u can put the soundboard and other stuff like your work stuff, pens, remote control, wallet in so the desk will look more tidy. If u do this u can put your PC on the desk since your pc looks nice. I would also try to tidy up those cables at the back on the ground. Also i would replace that lamp with a monitor lamp like this (https://www.amazon.com/Quntis-Computer-Reading-Auto-Dimming-Adjustment/dp/B08DKQ3JG1/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=2JWAC7ZBA4JRT&keywords=monitor%2Blamp&qid=1663220303&sprefix=monitor%2Blamp%2B%2Caps%2C145&sr=8-3&th=1)
I have this one right here. I use it when doing photo editing, when mounted properly; it lights your desk up without inflicting any glare on your monitor. When I use it for studying/note taking, I don't have to fight with the shadow of my phat head.
I recommend one.
I've used this one on three different ultrawides, each with varying thickness, and it worked perfectly fine. Where it clips on to the top of the monitor is adjustable.
Cheap, has good ratings, works great.
This is attached to the top of my monitor.
It shines directly down on my keyboard and has no glare off the screen.
Desktop is butcher block that I cut and stained. Desks are Ikea Alex. Industrial pipe fittings for the risers. Clock on desk is a google nest hub I use to control the thermostat, front door, doorbell, etc.
Monitor light is Quntis Monitor Lamp.
It looks like you will have a computer there. Just put one of these on the monitor.
In my opinion, automation should be useful to something. If working from home or something, and if your computer can do wake on lan, then make that your automation.
Further automation on the computer to auto launch applications when logged in will save you time logging in each day

I will be doing a full list of components included in my set up but below is just the light bar. It's not the exact one but just a different brand.
It's the Quntis Monitor Lamp from Amazon
Not OP, but it’s a computer monitor light.
More commonly I see the Ben-Q screenbar, but this is a different brand…see link below.

Thanks man that's nice to hear and really nice of you ! Most of the time I ask questions and they don't even answer...
And you seem to like minimalistic stuff, one suggestion I could make is to replace the lamp on the desk by a screen lamp. I got this one and I'm really satisfied with it, it's really nice for the eyes to have a light directly above the screen. And it would reduce the amount on stuff on the desk giving you a more advanced minimalistic look ! I love the lamp tho, just a suggestion from a minimalism lover hahahaha ;)
Thanks! here you go Fam! Monitor Light
Monitor light bar will kick it up a notch.

This is the one I have and it’s great. You don’t have a lamp on the table, so this is your best option.
Looks great! I have a very similar setup with a vertical monitor on the left and lamp kinda behind it. You’re right, you do need more light in your work area. If you want to take your battlestation to the next level, get a monitor light bar. Here’s the one I have:
Quntis Computer Monitor Lamp, Screen Monitor Light Bar for Eye Caring, e-Reading LED Task Lamp with Auto-Dimming & Stepless Hue Adjustment, Touch Control, No Screen Glare Space Saving Home Office Lamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DKQ3JG1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZAMX0TW3X74XMTRDBFFD
It’s absolutely perfect for your situation. It’s very high quality and adds a level of class to your work area. When set up correctly, it perfectly illuminates your work while the light source remains hidden. It almost feels magical. It has brightness and “temperature” setting to dial it in to your preferences.
Seriously, get this and you won’t regret it. I was skeptical at first too, but it’s a total game changer.
I have the Quntis one. cheaper than the BenQ. I'm telling you it is a lfe changer, gaming/working/watching/reading in the dark is not good for your eyes. and sometimes I write on my desk so its basically a lamp that doesnt take any space on your desk.
Great setup! I love when the first thing I notice is a high-end ergo chair. Looks like even though you have a desk lamp tucked away in the back, you could use an upgrade. Try a monitor mounted light bar. Here’s the one I use:
Quntis Computer Monitor Lamp, Screen Monitor Light Bar for Eye Caring, e-Reading LED Task Lamp with Auto-Dimming & Stepless Hue Adjustment, Touch Control, No Screen Glare Space Saving Home Office Lamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DKQ3JG1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_G32C341NNXQHZANJ0HDY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It’s simple, high quality, and really classes up a battlestation nicely. There are dimming and “temperature” options to dial in your perfect lighting setting. When set up correctly, you can’t see the light source, but your whole work area will be perfectly illuminated. This gives it an almost magical feeling.
Seriously give it a shot. I didn’t know what I was missing until I got one. You won’t regret it.
Hello sir! It's the Quntis Computer Monitor Lamp
Quntis Computer Monitor Lamp, Screen Monitor Light Bar for Eye Caring, e-Reading LED Task Lamp with Auto-Dimming & Stepless Hue Adjustment, Touch Control, No Screen Glare Space Saving Home Office Lamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DKQ3JG1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QZPNQR6ZZ8P82PV7PTTB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Sweet setup so far! I have a suggestion that will really take it to the next level.
That lamp isn’t working for me. There’s no shade so it’s right in your eyes. You should look into replacing that with a monitor light bar. I recommend this one:
Quntis Computer Monitor Lamp, Screen Monitor Light Bar for Eye Caring, e-Reading LED Task Lamp with Auto-Dimming & Stepless Hue Adjustment, Touch Control, No Screen Glare Space Saving Home Office Lamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DKQ3JG1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_2MFXMZYT6R23K4G7CGVM
This allows you to perfectly light your work area and only your work area. You can’t really even see the light source so the fact that it is perfectly lit seems almost magical. It’s got dimmers and different “temperature” lighting. It’s fantastic, and your eyes will thank you.
Oof...I feel this. I recently bought a light that clips onto my monitor and does an excellent job of lighting my workspace. Mine was about 40 bucks. But I will also say don't underestimate the power of a freestanding floor lamp and good LED bulb. Floor lamps can be bought used or sometimes free in your local listings/thrift store. And LED bulbs are just amazing now. You could get a smart bulb for 30 bucks at home depot.
Quntis Computer Monitor Lamp Auto-Dimming, 40CM Screen Monitor Light Bar for Eye Caring, e-Reading LED Task Lamp with Stepless Adjustment, Touch Control No Screen Glare Space Saving Home Office Lamp https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08DKQ3JG1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_JF7169YZBX7TZR05C4RZ
It’s something like this. I don’t have the exact one from Amazon. You can also get similar ones from Ali express.
And yes it’s really good as it saves space and no glare on screen while my table is lit up, if I want to do any work on it.
Actually, it’s not the Benq one. This one is £30 from Amazon, metal construction, usb c. I highly doubt the Benq one is worth paying the extra £70/£90 for.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08DKQ3JG1/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_EEU6FbHH1C6A0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Definitely recommend the light bar on the monitor - looked at the BenQ but couldn’t afford it, and didn’t quite understand the desk based controller when the advantage is not using desk space for a lamp...?
So I went for this and it’s ace - aluminium body, touch sensitive buttons, auto adjust (that’s actually really good) and 1/4 the price of the BenQ!
Honestly the best lighting choice I've made. Can get super bright and lights up the whole tabletop. The one I have is here.
Here is the link to the one I have. It does have auto-dimming, but the temperature change is manual.
I got this one and I love it despite all the tech YouTubers busting on light bars.
I connected its power input to a USB port on my monitor. It remembers my settings for color and color temp and booting up my PC turns on my monitor which turns the light on. Shuts off along with the monitor when I shut down the PC. One of the best things I bought for my system! That's definitely what I recommend.
the setup looks nice!!! all i could recommend is one of those monitor light bars that lighten up your desk, ive been slowly upgrading my setup and the light bar makes my eyes feel sm better at night, plus it doesn't distract my roommate when they are sleeping, also good if you wrtite on notepads or cant touch-type well with a non rgb keeb like me https://www.amazon.ca/Quntis-Computer-Auto-Dimming-Adjustment-Reading/dp/B08DKQ3JG1
bit it looks good!!
Though it does require using a precious usb port

I got this one to try it. I would like a slightly longer one ideally, but it works fine to illuminate my desk, and saves me having to turn on the garish, colder ceiling lights, so it's a win for me

The webcam doesn’t attach real well to the light so I just have the clam extended so it lays flat and then I wrapped it to the light with a Velcro cable tie.

It's a Quntis one. The design looks like a clone and I'm happy with it for a third of the price of the BenQ - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08DKQ3JG1
No worries, a relatively cheap one from amazon - light bar
Yeah! And that mouse pad closely matches the curtains. The monitor light I got is this one: Cheaper then BenQ

It’s a monitor Lamp. Got that particular one from Amazon
The Acer EI342CKR Pbmiippx from Costco is working great! I have a 24" x 48" desk and there's still space for both monitors (24" is rotated portrait mode style) a closed laptop, a docking station, and my keyboard and mouse.
I got a lightbar for the monitor to shine down on the workspace, and I use two separate monitor mount stand arms to position the monitors where I need them.
I don't notice any black text bleeding either. Some folks must be sensitive or the Youtube videos just make it look way worse than it is. I telework full-time right now and play a lot of Valheim or Factorio after work and I see zero issues.
I also use "FancyZones" to help tile the windows how I want them with all this new screen space I have to work with; and I use "f.lux" to control the screen color / brightness throughout the day.
I totally think this monitor was worth the money, and if you're lucky enough to catch it on sale jump on it!
One note, the monitor only supported my 2020 AMD Acer Nitro 5 at 3440 x 1440 @ 100hz resolution with a high quality HMDI 2.0 cable directly into the monitor HDMI port. I tried connecting the laptop to the docking station, then the docking station to the monitor and I couldn't get to 3440 resolution. If you're using a DP cable or a higher end docking station you might be fine though.

I've been using this one (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DKQ3JG1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share). And yes, it's quite good. I typically only have it around 40-50% brightness with a warmer white. It can get pretty bright and has fairly wide coverage.
Looking really good so far! You’ve got great natural light during the day, but might be lacking lighting at night. Here’s a simple and pretty inexpensive way to take your station to the next level:

This is an awesome product that will perfectly light your workspace. It almost feels magical since your desk will be perfectly lit but you won’t be able to see the actual light source. I always recommend these to people asking for battlestation tips. It’s easy and makes a huge difference.
