Seriously. Pubic hair comes in so many types, like head hair, that it needs a separate sub or forum or something.
“Ooh, I just condition, shave and rub deodorant on the area.” Cool, cool, glad that works for you. I’ve tried so many things, each for months on end, and nothing works. Shaving, trimming, plucking each hair out with tweezers, home waxing (practiced elsewhere first), rolling hair remover, and at this point I could pull it out with my hands if I wanted.
Doing these results in ingrown hair...not doing something about it also results in ingrown hair. Tried conditioner, oil, hair masque, deodorant, etc; my hair grows sharp and can grow back in towards my skin, yet also grows straight and randomly bends in zig-zag patterns, making sure I know it’ll never be cute. I have so many scars. It scars sometimes just from being removed. It’s Type 666. It’s Satan manifested as pubic hair.
Again, pubic hair is as diverse as head hair, but there’s more misconceptions that’ll likely end in dangerous ingrowns or yeast infections or whatever. Pubic hair needs its own “beauty care” guidebook.
Sorry /rant
I HIGHLY recommend the spring type hair removers to anyone with chin hair https://www.amazon.com/R-Spring-Facial-Hair-Remover/dp/B001FXUTUM
I'm horrible at tweezing and always end up accidentally picking at my skin and leaving scars, and those totally prevent that
Definitely a stainless steel facial epilator. They’re very easy to use and gentle for sensitive skin. Found in an older womans desk I’d imagine she had it incase she noticed a stay facial hair and wanted it gone ASAP. Can’t find that exact model for the life of me but here is a similar product. https://www.amazon.com/R-Spring-Facial-Hair-Remover/dp/B001FXUTUM
Shave.
Growing up I was self conscious about being a hairy girl. I remember I bought nair for my upper lip hair and went to school feeling like a whole new woman because I was mustacheless lmao. Pretty sure no one even noticed.
I’ve tried waxing, I tried this thing, hair removal creams...all would give me rashes or irritate my skin. The flawless hair remover is ok, but not as precise as shaving.
So I dry shave my face every two weeks to remove both peach fuzz and dead skin. It’s been amazing for my skin. Your hair doesn’t grow back thicker. Just make sure you cleanse before and after you shave, and make sure you do small strokes as opposed to longer strokes.
For upper lip i use something like this and it works really well for me (as well as threading): https://www.amazon.com/R-Spring-Facial-Hair-Remover/dp/B001FXUTUM
Also i own that epilator. It was painful the first time on my legs and underarms but not really anymore. I use it every week or two on those areas. I havent tried bikini area/brazillian but maybe if you used it for maintenance after getting a wax it would be tolerable.
Lol I actually didn't read the part where you wanted to take care of facial hair. There are facial epillators out there, but I recommend this thing.

I use this roller thing…got mine at marshals watch a YouTube video using it! Got tired of getting waxed (pricey, they pull skin sometimes) and this thing I can do at home I’m Hispanic too and so my Stache is darker than I’d like good luck! And hey we are mammals so we are supposed to have hair 💜 I use
I use a spring epilator (linked below) that is basically like threading yourself at home. It gets all the fuzz really efficiently and the tool itself is super affordable. Follow up with acne wash and/or toner to prevent breakouts.
I have not had luck with laser hair removal on my face, since it's an area impacted by hormones.

You could try using one of these spring/coil things that are for removing unwanted facial hair (the link is for the one that I personally have, but there are a ton of different brands online)
It works great for me! It’s quick and pretty painless once you get the hang of it.
I use this spring epilator. Takes a few tries to master the technique, but in 10 years it's the fastest, and most precise tool i've found for removing hair all over the face (except eyebrows!)
I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to use either of those on your face.
My mom used to have a spiral like this to remove facial hairs. (I'm not endorcing that particular brand, it's just the first thing I found through Google.) I don't know how thick OP's facial hair is, I think it might hurt to use if the hair is to thick.
Also as a bonus point: It's a product specifically for cis women with unwanted facial hair, wich would help OP appease his mom.
Very much could be hormonal problem. Some women are also just prone to facial hair growth as well. If it’s short or can be plucked you can use this tool for peach fuzz I found on Amazon. I use it for my upper lip since many waxing and threading facilities were closed during COVID or aren’t doing any other place except eyebrows. It’s somewhat painful but it leaves a smooth area since it plucks hair you may not even see but can feel. I’ll leave a link for you if you want to check it out.

Oh jeez, I'm sorry. was one of them the manual, spring-based one? That one has given me zero irritation, while the other two have given me some. Might be worth a try if you haven't tried it at all. (This one)[https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001FXUTUM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_VXA0CbPEDNEE8] is the one everyone raves about, but I got the Tweezerman version for $3.99 st TJ Maxx and it works great.
Apologies if you've tried that too, I have too much brain fog to be able to tell. If you haven't and do pick one up, you can use it a tiny bit each day, and avoid aggravating your skin somewhat.
Not the poster you replied to, but I've been using this one for years!
I use it once a week for maintenance. It doesn't remove hair as well as waxing does, but it gets maybe 97% off. I usually pluck a few of hairs after each use and I'm done!
Maybe try looking in to this product or one like it? I haven't used it myself but heard about of it and it claims to be suitable for sensitive skin, so hopefully that means no irritation!
> REM spring sprong
First result on google... https://www.amazon.com/R-Spring-Facial-Hair-Remover/dp/B001FXUTUM
I started with a spring epilator (manual) for the face, and that was a learning curve but super affordable.
The R.E.M Spring Facial Hair Remover Pros: - Affordable - Gentle on sensitive facial skin - Portable/somewhat discrete - Effective at hair removal
Cons: - Learning curve to learn how to use it (practice makes perfect) - Can become tedious/time intensive when removing a lot of facial hair (my hand would cramp sometimes! I usu had to go over the same spot many times to clear an area) - Pretty limited to facial use, as you need two hands and the right angle to operate
Then, I decided to invest in an electricepilator.
The Braun Silk Epil 9 Beauty Set Pros: - So many attachments, including a razor and ways to manually exfoliate to prevent ingrowns - I can shave the hair to the right length before epilating - Theres a light which allows me to see what I’m working on well
Cons - Cost is high - Can be a little rough on sensitive parts of face (comes with a separate mini face epilator too, but I found that too gentle and didn’t pull the hairs)
Now, I sort of combine them. I use the spring for my sensitive upper lip and face touchups. I use the electric one for body/legs and overall face maintenance. :) If I notice I’m getting any ingrowns, I reset with shaving a few times in between, to let the ingrowns grow out a little (it helps to wash with a salicylic acid wash every so often to clear ingrowns)
One big point: Always make sure to properly clean the epilating tools and sanitize after each use!
Hope this helps :)
You can also use one of these instead of waxing:

It’s been a godsend for me.
Add my vote for cool, btw.
Tweezers for me. Annoying but meh, the things we do for beauty I suppose. Or the uh, coil thingy
