We just upgraded from wax paper on windows facing or neighbors to this rainbow prism privacy film. It was because the kiddos saw it in a video and demanded we upgrade.
Link below. FWIW, works best if the window gets direct sunlight. A bit pricey so the near free cost of wax paper is a much better solution, but not as pretty
I don’t see that anyone has linked any window privacy film yet, but your daughter might like this iridescent window film.
My sister has this stuff up on the bottom half of one of her living room windows and there’s still lots of light, but also rainbows!
You’re a liar.
I have that EXACT same pattern window film on all three picture windows in my living room. You can even see the edge of the film at the bottom of the window, where you cut it too short.
You most likely bought it on Amazon like I did.
Here’s your “local glass blower”
Stained Glass Window Decals, Static Cling Window Sticker Removable [link]
I really recommend window film (the static cling ones, not the adhesive type), since it blocks your view and gives you privacy like blinds or curtains, but still lets in natural light, so your apartment doesn't feel like a cave all the time. I use a rainbow film by Rabbitgoo I got off of amazon for like 20 bucks, and I really recommend it. Also agreeing with everyone else, keep your windows closed
Correct, not a sphynx owner yet just prone to sunburn myself + I have a light colored kitty at home 😅 I use a window film from Amazon that has the added bonus of making cute rainbows inside... here is the film
Those kinds of lights would be so cute in a kitchen! I have never thought about that.
Another way to get some cool lighting into rooms are window films! This is a cool one that refracts the light into rainbows. [link]
Wow! I’ve never been to Europe, sounds like a dream!
This is the one I’ve used: Rabbitgoo Rainbow Window Film 3D No Glue Decorative Window Film Privacy Window Film Anti-UV Window Tint Window Glass Film Privacy Glass Tint for Home Office Windows, 17.5 x 78.7 inches(44.5x200cm) [link]
It’s held up great over three years and makes gorgeous rainbow prisms when the sun hits it directly!
Also if it's a sliding glass door, putting something like this: [link] on at least the bottom half may help. Then you can still get the light in but he wouldn't be able to see the outside cats.
You could try the holo film that sticks on windows. I’m not sure how it affects the windows but some people really like it. [link]
An actual door to the outside? Is the window frosted? I would put a cling on it...I’ve used this one before and it was beautiful, but there are many more you can find online. You can’t see through it at all. It lets light in but with our lighting etc you couldn’t see shapes from the outside looking in.

Yes it is the window film! You can get them on amazon for super cheap :)
I bought window film on amazon for the tank, it’s like the cling film holiday crap people put on their windows. RABBITGOO 3D No Glue Static Decorative Films Glass Window Film Anti UV 17.7" X 78.7" (45 X 200cm) here
I like the vaseline smear, especially if you do so with a bit of dust or dirt on the applicator.
Various kinds of tape, clear or not.
privacy window cling
There are privacy screens you can put on your window that allow light in but people can't see through them. Have one on my bedroom window and I love it. Ican leave the blinds open no matter my state of dress.
We have rabitgoo window film all over the house to keep the outside OUT and still beautify our home. It’s really cool to see all of the rainbows and light splashes throughout :)
for the window you can get inexpensive window decals that will add a decorative touch, privacy, and easy to remove. Something like this: [link]
I would suggest you move your bed from against the corner, I would turn it around and get a rug or runner to add some warmth to the place.
Plants are an inexpensive way to create a homey vibe and it add colour as well.
I would turn the ikea bookshelf on its side to give you more room to place things and give the illusion of length
For the kitchen/dining nook, keep it simple as its a small space. A fun runner could work here as well, keeping in mind cabinet colours. You can add a chalk board or anything interactive to the walls that you can change occasionally.
It’s a rainbow privacy film I have! You can find it on Amazon hererainbow film
It’s a privacy film, i bought this one off amazon!
. it sticks on the window without tape or adhesive, AND it makes rainbows in the room. <3
here is the link!
Do you think something like this would help?
Home Sweet Home
my upstairs bathroom has no blinds so this would definitely make bathroom time comfier from the neighbors😬 lol

I might get another one because I accidentally cut a small piece a little crooked. But it had the best reviews
This window panel film! [link]
This window film does it all, I can't take credit-
thank you!! The rainbows are from this window film! It’s very colorful when the morning sun comes through 😍
Sooo there are these non adhesive privacy screens that let in natural light but do not allow others to see into your window. I got this one for my down stairs sliding door & took the blinds down. I love it
Get rainbow window light refractor thingies lol, I'm not sure exactly what they're called 😅
These things lol :
this is the amazon link if you’re looking to rainbow up your life: [link]
It was the BEST pandemic purchase. I got this: [link]
Rabbitgoo rainbow window film. That's the one I primarily use.
I also have some from Rainbow Symphony: [link]
Rainbow symphony is more expensive and less of a privacy film, it's pretty see thru. BUT the rainbows are absolutely incredible with that one. Rabbitgoo has nice rainbows too but rainbow symphony has phenomenal rainbows.
So, I mix and match. I use mostly rabbitgoo for the privacy, and put smaller portions of rainbow symphony to get the super vivid rainbows. Nice thing about the latter is you don't need a lot to get the rainbows, so it can be a small bit of the window.
I bought this window cling film online and the rainbow it throws is fantastic -
I bought this: rabbitgoo Window Privacy Film,... [link]
i have sheets similar to these and also wake up to rainbows on my walls!
Amazon has these and they’re pretty cool
Cat: free except for care and maintenance; he's an asshole but we love him and he's stupid cute
Blanket: $15 at the antique swap market. tried to haggle to $10 but she was tough!
Prismatic window film: instant cheapo DIY gratification @ Amazon, get some rainbows up in your life
Disney prints: I bought a set of 12 prints at Disneyland for $30 ~5 years ago. I waited to frame them because I couldn't find 12"x18" frames for a reasonable price. This year, I found multipacks of those frames at Walmart and I was able to frame all 12 for about $30, so up they went (finally! I was so happy!)
Couch: $600 small sectional at Cort (outlet). It lasted us a good 3 years before it really started showing its age, I extended it another year by draping it with sheets or blankets that could be washed regularly. cheap couches definitely aren't built to last. if you won't need one for more than a few years, just get a shitty one.
Curtains: I bought mismatched but color-coordinated sets at HomeGoods for $10-15 per pair of panels.
Pillows: have been collected over the years; instead of throwing out existing pillows, just re-cover them. There are a lot of great cushion/pillow covers on Amazon; you can also find them deeply discounted from chain retailers (like Pottery Barn, West Elm, etc.) in their clearance sections more often than not. Or you can make your own with old t-shirts or crochet!
Blue rug: IKEA, <$100
Coffee table: West Elm, it was a tax refund splurge a couple of years ago
Bought it on amazon and it's probably the best thing i ever bought lol
