If you're looking for a be all end all solution just pick up a DeathAdder on Amazon. I think that's gonna be my plan when my Mamba TE dies on me if I don't go with a generic Dell mouse. It's relatively cheap for a Razer product, and optical.
This would be suggestion numero uno. If you have some kind of physical disability that prevents you from using a normal mouse, I'd say attempt to get used to a higher dpi/sensitivity so you can keep things controlled when you need to, but have the capability to flick if you need rapid camera movement.
They currently have a sale on amazon for a razer deathadder, I've got one, a chroma one though, and I've been rather surprised with the quality and feel of the mouse.

whats your price range? Your honestly not going to get anything worth buying under like 40$. https://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-Essentials-Ergonomic-Comfortable/dp/B00AAS888S/ref=sr_1_13?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1474111798&sr=1-13&keywords=gaming+mice
razer deathadder is probably your best bet, cheap and its one of the most widely used mice so you really cant go wrong
You can get a Tartarus off of Amazon for about $50. The Naga is about the same. Amazon has the Deathadder on sale $40 right now which is also great.
Razer DeathAdder Essentials - Ergonomic PC Gaming Mouse - Comfortable Grip https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AAS888S/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_yFnTxbEWHG2EZ
After looking at reviews on amazon just now for the deathadder, it really doesn't seem to be the exception at all. Look at any of the low star reviews and they all say it's an amazing mouse that's going to break in 6months http://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-Ergonomic-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00AAS888S
hey hey
I have using the Razer Deathadder for about 3+ years and highly recommend it. Play with it on cs:go and when I have game time on ffxiv. Just purchased the new chroma version still yet to use it as my current one is still in awesome condition. Not sure about other Razer products but I know from word of mouth and experience the deatheradder is great! http://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-Ergonomic-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00AAS888S Hope that helps!
The Razer DeathAdder has been my favorite mouse by far. I switch between claw and palm grip depending on game and the newer models have these nice anti-slip rubber pads on the side. It's also a fairly large mouse!
I used the mx518 for over 8 years and I agree. I had to edit my original post to say newer logitech mice because all the nubpc gamerkids who got fed up with xbox think laser mice are actually usable... and the G400 is actually the same sensor as the mx518 with improvements. Get a G400 if you like it, but going to the razer deathadder 2013 was the greatest decision of my gaming life. I will never go back to any other mouse ever made, if you thought the MX518 was good, imagine better times a trillion.
You really need to look at that mouse.

Perfection.
Could just be cause the mouse is 5 years old,
Here’s an amazon link for the updated DeathAdder they put out last year - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AAS888S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DxeQAbS51A5XD ($40)

It is a gaming mouse but the Razer Deathadder Essential is a really good, comfortable, and quiet mouse. It's great for office work and can be found cheap in plain packaging on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-Essential-Ergonomic-Comfortable/dp/B00AAS888S/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1480653770&sr=1-2&keywords=deathadder+3.5g
And the Rosewill RK-9000V2 BR with MX Browns is a great upper-mid end board with solid build quality and switches that are not overly loud.
Hey OP,
I currently run a BlackWidow and a Deathadder Expert.
The expert is really just a rebranded 2013 Deathadder, but I've seemed to feel the expert/2013's have a little more longevity in them.
The Detahstalker is a mechanical keyboard with good switches, I've had no problems in mine.
In Canadian Paper Currency, this should total around ~$100. Cheers, and welcome to Razer.
edit: BlackWidow not Deathstalker
That's the DeathAdder Essential, which is non-RGB and a bit cheaper than the DeathAdder Elite. Also note that the regular price for the bundle on Amazon is 150$.
Razer DeathAdder for my gaming computer.
Sharkoon Drakonia Gaming Laser Mouse for my other computers (including at the office).
edit: both of these fit the curve of my hand better than other mice that I've found.
Same price on Amazon. The essential is $46.99.
Anyone know the difference?
I would maybe consider this one. Seems you can turn off the wheel light and the logo light.

I'd probably put a little of that extra towards a RX 480 instead of a RX 470.
For the mouse, probably a Razer Deathadder https://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-Essential-Ergonomic-Comfortable/dp/B00AAS888S
No I just cant give you my mice :)
https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Rival-Optical-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B0160USMW6
are both around $40 and are nice.. otherwise check amazon?

Just go with Ramzinho suggestion as it's the best (you should try out some mice for yourself, see which one fits your hand and your grip better, only you can do that).
But as you asked for a rundown of mice, here's my experience:
PROS
CONS
My first "gaming" mouse, I had no money left after building my computer so I went for this one. It's good for a starting mouse, but low end and the missing thumb buttons are a big turn off.
PROS
CONS
This mouse is huge, has a lot of features, a lot of buttons, and a lot of flaws. Not recommanded for fast paced gaming because of the short battery duration or heavy ass charging cable.
PROS
CONS
One of the best mice I used overall, I'll still be using one if they weren't so cheaply made and broke so much.
PROS
CONS
A good mouse overall, but kinda bland compared to others, as in not really providing good value for the money. Also has mousewheel issues, which is what made me switch to something else. The issue appeared after a good 7 or 8 months, but was really fucking with me after a while. Basically it would go randomly up when you scrolled down, and vice versa.
PROS
CONS
The mouse I'm currently using. It comes close second to Razer in terms of how comfortable it is for me. It's light years ahead in terms of quality. As you probably remarked, I'm not really taking care of my mice (thanks CS), but this one is indestructible. No driver bullshit, but that means no precise DPI settings (you've got 4: 400, 800, 1600 and 3200), and no profiles but that really isn't an issue. Large Teflon pads, it glides really nicely on my goliathus control mat, almost as well as the deathadder. Dunno what else to say, apart that I'm currently happy with it even though I long for the day someone makes a solid deathadder. I'm even using the one my cat chewed the cable off of at work, with a bit of tape it's working fine as long as I don't move the cable too much.
edit: who puts an "s" at the end of mice?
If you want a larger mouse, it's kind hard to find cheap, large mice that aren't crap. You could get the 2013 DeathAdder or the Rival 300. Neither are exactly cheap, but they're not as expensive as many other high-performing mice.
Stuff I've used in the past that'll fit your budget.
Razer Deathadder - Really solid general purpose gaming mouse. The only difference between the essential and Chroma versions is that the Croma costs $20 more and has RGB lighting.
Red Dragon Kumara 552 - Cheap, built like a tank, and mechanical. Perfect for trying out mechanical keyboards without dropping a c-note.
CM Quickfire TK - A little bit nicer keyboard with more switch options (ask the guys over at r/mechanicalkeyboards) that'll still fit your budget (assuming you stick to my mouse suggestion). I'd recommend this one if you're a little more certain about committing to a mechanical keyboard.
The logitech g710+ is on sale for 92$ An the Razer death adder is 57$ right now! http://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-Ergonomic-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00AAS888S
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Keyboard-Tactile-High-Speed/dp/B009C98NPY
Amazon has the standard DeathAdder for $39.99
> If you actually get around to holding them, they feel hollow, like the heads of Razer Fanboys.
Just cause Beats adds weights to their headphones doesn't make it better. Weight is just customization; for example, if you removed the weights and the metal scroll wheel of the G502, it would feel just as "hollow." However, some gamers prefer a lighter mouse... especially for fast and precise movement. On a side note, I own a CM Storm Reaper. It's basically a gaming mouse with a lot of metal. It feels sturdy as hell, but is it a good gaming mouse? Absolutely not. It's so heavy, it takes effort and time to get used to the mouse's acceleration and deceleration.
> Their switches ARE worse and ARE rated for a lot less clicks then Cherry
Nope. Kailh switches are rated a minimum of 50 million clicks. Cherry Switches are the same. They also have the same exact tolerances and thus are the same exact quality.
> mouse switches are rated for a few million less clicks than a logitech mouse for the same price or cheaper.
The first part is true, the Logitech G502 is rated at 20 million while the Deathadder is rated at 10 million, but realistically, how many clicks will you get out of a gaming peripheral before you buy a new one? The average human being clicks the mouse 500 times a day. Let's assume the PC gamer clicks the mouse on average twice that amount. 1000 clicks / 2 mouse buttons = 500 clicks per switch/day. A year generates 500 clicks * 365 days = 182500 clicks. That equates to 55 year lifespan for a mouse rated at 10 million clicks...
Your second point is false. A Deathadder can be had for $40, cheaper than the G502 and even the G402.
get that naga a deathadder. i like the deathadder because it has a simple shape and only a few extra buttons. everything else is too much. http://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-Ergonomic-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00AAS888S
Razer DeathAdder is a great mouse and is down to $39.99 currently on Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-Ergonomic-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00AAS888S
Here it is on Amazon. You can probably find it cheaper somewhere else.
In case you do decide to get it, here is the left-handed edition of the Razer Deathadder.
The biggest draw of a mouse more fit for gaming is that you have more access to buttons. Most importantly, the m4 and m5 buttons (typically the forward/back buttons on the mouse). You can find a fairly cheap mouse that has those if that's all you want.
Around Christmas, I received a Razer Deathader. The mouse is quite large, so if you're a fan of larger mice like I am, then I'd recommend it.
The mouse has the standard buttons. Scroll wheel that clicks as well as m1-m5. Although it's not too useful, you can bind any of these to a different key or function. However, due to dota's binding system, this isn't really necessary. It could be useful if you want to change the scroll wheel to something else, or perhaps if you wanted a mouse button to emulate shift or alt, which cannot normally be changed in the client.
Another benefit of a gaming mouse is DPI settings. Essentially, a fancy term for sensitivity. You can change sensitivity whenever you want, and you can associate different DPI settings with various programs and games. Also, you can bind DPI settings to a button, if you'd like.
I think my mouse has some macro capabilities, but these aren't too useful in Dota so I've stayed away from them.
If you'd like a lot of mouse buttons, Razer have a sort of MMO mouse with all sorts of buttons.
All in all, gaming mice aren't really that necessary for Dota. The additional buttons are pretty nice to have, though.
I got mine from amazon last week for $41 here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AAS888S/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=
it was on sale
If you want a mouse that will last for a very long time, get this http://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-Ergonomic-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00AAS888S. PCGamer said it was the best gaming mouse of the year, so, pretty good!
Looking for suggestions!
I currently have a Razer Deathadder 2013, and I like it alot. The problem is, its green, and everything else is blue. So I'm interested in the Proteus G502, although I'm not sure I need all the macros (the Deathadder's macros have been absolutely fine for me).
I'm glad to pay money to get the best product, but I was wondering, should I look into a G402? It's about $50 vs the G502 $70 (new). Is there a major difference between the two mice other than number of macros?
I generally like large mice, so it makes since that I've enjoyed the Deathadder's ergonomics. Should I just get a blue Deathadder like this? This is the model I have currently.
I'm welcome to any comments, thanks for reading.
Razer Deathadder essencials -https://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-Essential-Ergonomic-Comfortable/dp/B00AAS888S/ Nox Krom khalos - https://www.amazon.es/Krom-NXKROMKHLN-Teclado-retroiluminada-color/dp/B013E8M03O
If you're looking for a good mouse I can recomend the razer chroma had this mouse for a while and loved it, perfect for palm grip & claw as opposed to the G502 which is primarily a claw
I have the Razer Deathadder and I like it very much.
This is a gear list I have been working on:
Semi-updated Pro Gaming Gear
My Recommendations:
1. Razer Deathadder 2013
2. Logitech G9X
3. Razer Abyssus
Go for Deathadder 2013. Not out of stock on Amazon.
