Both are using Razer's new optical switches so you won't have to worry about the double clicking issue reoccurring.

As much as it sucks that you've had issues with your previous DeathAdder I think it's worth upgrading to a new one if you still enjoy the shape. Razer has been producing some really top tier nice lately.

For the mouse, especially if you use photoshop and illustrator a lot, I'd recommend something like the Razer Deathadder V2, it's got optical switches so it will never have a double-clicking problem and it'll last way longer than a normal switch mouse. I've gone through a bunch of mice and with photoshop they usually start double clicking within 6-9 months, but with optical switches they can never have that problem. There is a keyboard counterpart to that as well, optical mechanical keyboards, which can easily last 10+ years. the Keychron K8 is a great option if you don't need the number pad. then you could get a custom mousepad from YourPlaymat, they make some great ones. Clear and detailed print, high quality materials, and they also have custom size as an option where you can use your own dimensions.

It's experiencing the common double click issue, either you resolder in new switches (like the Kailh GM 8.0 Mechanical, 20m Omron Mechanical and etc.) or buy the Razer DeathAdder v2 (currently on sale at Amazon). Why do I recommend the Razer DeathAdder v2, because it has the Razer™ Optical switches (no double click issue).

The deathadder V2 has optical switches that are more durable and a better cable. Worth the extra money if you really like the DA shape.

Honestly, I haven't taken out a tape measure and checked. I can if I really need to I guess; But I'm just looking for "big mice" and unless there's some sacred mouse that everyone knows about but hides unless someone has the right hand size... Eh? The easiest thing to say is that the Death adder barely goes past my fingers; pretty much my entire hand is on the table and my palm is in the air as a result.
