I love mine. However, I prefer them in white. I too have a green keyboard, but the headphones are just too much green. They'll hurt like a bitch after about 6 hour of consecutively having them on, but I love um. Very cheap if you amazon price match. Comes down to like 58 bucks?

The best part about them is the retractable microphone. I was sick of headsets looking TOO much like headsets and its nice to have them just be headphones every now and again. Also, unlike the new Chroma's, these still have the 1/8 inch headset plug, instead of USB

Hey guys, I'd like to invest in a really good headphone for my (non music related) work.

I don't trust Google results anymore (they are full of affiliate links, etc.).

If you don't mind, I would use your audiophile knowledge — I trust you more than Google :)

• Budget: 300-350 USD
• Source: I'll use it with my Macbook only
• Requirements for Isolation: We'll have child, and we work from home office, so I guess it would be optimal if the headphones are noise-cancelling. Plus I work next of my wife, and she hates when she hear my music — so noise-cancelling in and out :D
• Will you be using these Headphones in Public? No. Maximum in Café, but just occasionally.
• Preferred Type of Headphone: Full-sized. I love big headphones.
• Preferred tonal balance: Well, I don't know. I will use it 99% for music, and I love all genres.
• Past headphones: I have a Razer Kraken 2014 (https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Kraken-2014-Music-Headset/dp/B009SJR278) and I like it, it works after 8 years, it is comfortable for my ear (for 8+ hours a day) and it sounds good for me — but I didn't hear anything better yet, because none of my friends use good headphones. So I have nothing to compare it with. Probably if I buy a better one, I will hate this green miracle :)

I actually use the razer krakens and run the audio through my controller, Mic works very well too. Also nice to have if you PC game any.

I am no audiophile but for the past few years I owned mostly those cheap headphones that break after 6 months or so. So I saved up around 50£ and have been looking to get a pair that would last me a few years. Recently my friend has bought these kraken headphones and I admit they are quite nice and silence the sound also well their sound is also great in my opinion but I have also heard good things about the Sennheiser HD280 or alternatively these So whats important for me. Music mostly I listen to rock music mostly and I rarely play video games that require me to communicate with people verbally so yeah if someone could help me that would be great.

I do actually enjoy spending 20 minutes to build my own computer and not get my ass completely blasted by the prices companies charge for their prebuilts. You pay 100+$ for the "convenience" of some guy fixing your shit for you, even though it's more convenient in every single way to just take the 20 minutes and fix it yourself. It really depends on what you do the most and what genre you fall under. Whether you play competitive and need to listen to foot steps or general all round gaming with a splash of music. The latest headset I moved over to is the Razer Kraken Pro Gaming. The headset has great bass and tons of flexibility, Razer offers a free download of Razer sound which allows you to customize all the audio settings you will ever need. One of the settings for the program is voice clarity which you might be interested in. Oh, and the comfort of this headset is ridiculous, They feel so good to wear.
