For a long time I just used some old wired headphones as my headset since most of the time I'm not talking with anyone but then got the Razer Kraken X (mainly just to have a mute button on the headset itself) and it has worked well.

I have razed kraken x ultralites. The sound quality is super good for $50 or 45 euro. Among my friends group, everyone who's invested in the ps gold has been really disappointed by the build quality and longevity.

If you end up getting a new headset, look into this one, two of my friends use these.

I have a Yeti podcasting set up. It’s great and produces professional sound. BUT... You know what I used for Zoom meetings and course video recordings during remote instruction that is pretty much just as good? A reasonably priced gaming headset with a flexible cardioid microphone. I haven’t touched the Yeti set up in months.

• Budget - >60 dollars CAD preferably maybe a couple dollars more
• Source - Laptop/ PS5 if I ever get it
• Requirements for Isolation - Doesn't matter
• Will you be using these Headphones in Public? Mainly for home use, if I can bring it to school that would be a great plus.
• Preferred Type of Headphone - Over Ear/ On ear
• Preferred tonal balance - Overall balanced
• Past headphones - Literally the 4 dollar dollarama headset.
• Preferred Music - Want it mostly for gaming but music is probably gonna be rap/ pop
