I use the same soil mix with perlite, but also add a rocky mixture I got from Amazon - Bonsai jack. More watering but less chances of root rot. I put a small layer on the bottom, then the soil mixture, then the rock mix on top. It also prevents those pesky fungus gnats!
Every month, I add some of this to my water and notice that it helps a lot! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J1CAEIG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XqqjFb1CX3FT5
It’s a “microbial superpack” you mix in water and it’s kind of like a good quality compost tea.
They are probably starving for some nutrients. Also, a good idea to use some stuff like Recharge since your soil is weak at best.
They sell it locally at Happy trees and Homegrown RVA.

It’s a bacteria booster for your soil, you put in a teaspoon of it per gallon every few waterings it helps make your nutrients available to your plants faster and better.

Recharge is just a really good product u mix into your water once a week. Don’t PH it or anything If you’re using RO water. But it’s a whole bunch of beneficial fungi and microbes to keep your soil alive and thriving.
Grab some "Real Growers Recharge", it does wonders for root rot and many other common issues.
Early stages don't need much what I advise you to do is get some beneficial microbes for your soil Recharge is a great product highly recommend them they have becilus subtilis which is detrimental to plant growth as well as mycorrhizae
I use molasses used in combination with Recharge all through flower. A tablespoon of each in 5 gallons of water is a good dose. It's a very easy way to get the benefits of compost tea from off-the-shelf items.
This works amazing for tomatoes and is widely used in indoor cannabis grows. It’s microbes that eat at the food in your soil and roots. Balances PH and helps fix you soil. I make a tea with it. One teaspoon in a gallon of water. Shake then Let sit 20 minutes and shake again then water. My roots come out white at the end. I will swear by this up and down for containers. Helps me fix nutrient issues much quicker.

It’s hydrogen peroxide and water, at a ration that I do, of 3-4 oz hydrogen peroxide to one gallon of water, but like I said it will kill the entire microbial environment, it’ll even take care of root rot, you could do the h2o2, or another I just thought of which will add to the microbial environment, is this I do use it also, guess it depends on way she looks good but isn’t growing, cos your plant look great
Can you get your hands on some Recharge? Or any equivalent 'super pack' of bacteria/fungi? pH and nutrient deficiencies are solved a lot easier with beneficial bacteria in your soil. You could skip the litmus strips, skip checking your N dosage, skip checking pH. I haven't pH'd my water in over a year.

Tbh if you’re gonna grow in FFOF I bought some real growers recharge. Link is here- Real Growers Recharge (8oz) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J1CAEIG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_bC15zbTE2363E
I DO NOT use my ph up or down anymore at all. Now this is not to say they aren’t important or lack any value. Just personal preference, but with the recharge it provides a lot of fungi and bacteria (all beneficial) to your soil, making it a living soil. My buds are fatter than when I wasn’t using it and seem denser since the rhizosphere is being taken care of by beneficial microbes. I strongly encourage you to buy nutrients. I went super simple with raw NPK university nutrient line ( they sell a grow powder 7-4-5 and a bloom powder 3-12-12) that you just mix in water usually 1-2tsp per gallon and done. I wanted simple and that was the easiest I would go cause liquid nutes just don’t appeal to me.
I mentioned it here before, I have become a HUGE fan of Real Growers Recharge. https://www.amazon.com/Real-Growers-Recharge-8oz/dp/B00J1CAEIG I recently started using it, and I tested it out on my tropical plants that I bring inside during the winter, before I put it on my cannabis and the effects were actually quite startling. My lemon and lime tree both started putting out flower buds and blooming within a week, and I just noticed last week that my orange peel cestrum had bloomed. Indoors, in February, in the Midwest. That's crazy. I actually planted some bare root roses yesterday and soaked them in a solution of the stuff before planting I'm so impressed, so yes, its beneficial.
yes i am adding. Just been making AACT with local EWC for the bennies there, but also just ordered recharge from real grower to try and help me throguh this problem im having and for my outdoor garden https://www.amazon.com/Real-Growers-Recharge-8oz/dp/B00J1CAEIG
Yes, it's safe. The microbiology in your growing medium will mediate the pH within a couple of days no problem. As an aside, if you're not using some sort of microbiological supplement (beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizae), I'd highly recommend picking one up. There are a number of options; I use Recharge, and the stuff works fantastically well. Made the biggest difference in my grow of probably any single change I've ever made, and at this point I would consider it absolutely essential for any organic grow. That jar should last you a year or two for just a couple plants.
To not answer your question, have you considered organic super soil? If you get the right soil, all you have to do is give water and microbes. It's WAY easier than all the stuff needed to properly grow hydro. Happy to get into it more if you're curious...
My garden. All I give them is water and Recharge.

Bunch of microbes. I add it to my water every other feeding and the plants seem to love it.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J1CAEIG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_QT0SCF9VRF19DZ6G7DQT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 8oz is 30, 26oz is 50. 1/2 teaspoon per gallon so it lasts a long time. I'm very happy with this product and u can use it once a week.
No problemo, there’s plenty of info online from different studies involving how they can benefit your plants; I got mine from amazon
I use a little under 1/2 tsp per gallon of water every other watering. This will last you many grows.
No recharge is a complete different product. Real Growers Recharge (8oz) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J1CAEIG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_9VDWZ7PSZWMX7GKG7F2H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

So ph is super important. Here a couple links for you. I suggest getting a PH Reader. I’m guessing one your ph is not 6.5-6.8. Also it might be to hot. Depending on what you are growing it might be to Hot for the strain you are growing. Also you should get cal mag. If you aren’t using organic soil then I would do a flush. Then get recharge after the soil is dry.

Yep.
Unsulfured black strap molasses
Doesn't have to be that brand, any unsulfured black strap will work.
It is a microbes boost for soil. It acts as a tea with out having to air for 48 hr.

Let them dry out. Then use growers recharge without nutrients for the next couple waterings.Growers Recharge
haha i gotcha. I'm not sure how knowledgeable but would you take a look at these links?
Vs the bigfoot, the other two seem to have more types of bacteria or whatever. do you think that's better? also it seems that the yellow one has some acids and kelp that would probably go well with my alaska 5-1-1. or do you think that's too much for these guys?
My guess is related to small pots of living soil. I’ve found 5-7 gallons are minimum to keep it living. Maybe worth a shot to throw some recharge at it? https://www.amazon.com/Real-Growers-Recharge-8oz/dp/B00J1CAEIG
yep it also come in packs like this Real Growers Recharge (8oz) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J1CAEIG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_M8FoFbEJT8YKG
Get you some of this Grower's Recharge
I hate to keep saying the same thing (3rd time tonight) but get you some of this. It fixes all nute lockout and pH issues
Not positive TBH. But I promise you this will correct it
Get you some of this. It'll fix your ph
Lockout, likely mag not being on the take correctly.
Recharge to start. I stand by this stuff for any uptake/lockout issues if you know you have a balanced feeding profile.https://www.amazon.com/Real-Growers-Recharge-8oz/dp/B00J1CAEIG
how often are you watering by chance? sometimes over watering can cause all sorts of issues that look similar to nute defs
if it's a ph issue in soil I'd aim for 6.3; 6.5 is on the top end of soil ph maybe what's locking you out, (although I'm not so certain it's the culprit); also if you can get your hands on recharge she'll be good as new as soon as tomorrow
Try to get some Recharge. It makes a difference.
https://www.amazon.com/Real-Growers-Recharge-8oz/dp/B00J1CAEIG
Add some Grower's Recharge. It's designed to revitalize soil.
