12 on the side. 5 on top. Not this exact model but similar
this, it's literally the only way I can play, It's not a hotas like it used to, but will have to do until the new arm arrives at the next reincarnatiion... :(
There is this one with a godawful number of buttons on the side:
You've already said in the comments that you already have the gaming stuff you need but this was recommended to me recently and I thought it was pretty rad. A naga mouse (currently listed at £50) or a naga style mouse like this beauty (£40). When playing RPG, strategy or a surprising selection of other games the extra buttons can be crazy useful.
100% yes.
I was on the fence about this for a while. I had keyboard binds like shift + 1, shift + 2 etc ... But there is only so many I can realistically do.
Now I have a mouse with 12 buttons on the side. I only use 9 of them because the 10-12 at the back are not natural for my thumb to reach.
I essentially have 18 new buttons. Each button on its own and ctrl + mouse side button.
I still use 1-4 and shift + 1-4, q and e. A and D are bound to strafe. I don't need turn keys bound.
In total, I have 28 buttons for skills bound. I've not found I need more but now I wonder how I played without a mouse like this.
The mouse I bought was
"Redragon M908 IMPACT RGB LED MMO Mouse Laser Wired Gaming Mouse with 12,400DPI, High Precision, 18 Programmable Mouse Buttons"
I hope this has helped.
I would say try it out with a cheap model before getting anything good. I used this for a couple of years before getting the Corsaid Scimitar, but it was only £20 when I got it. Looking now there's not really that cheap an option unless going for less buttons.
I bought this mouse a few months back and have found it much easier to play the game since.
I also use elvui and enables shift and alt modifiers so I can switch between my bars and keep using my mouse.
If you decide to get a similar mouse, I can walk you through elvui and share my profile/layout with you. Give me a shout if you need help.
I recently picked up a Redragon M908 from Amazon (Canadian amazon link since that’s where I’m from) and it’s been really great for the price. Less than half what I paid for my old Corsair scimitar, but seems just as good.
Not sure if it’s available where you’re from, but bang for my buck, this is the best mmo mouse I’ve found.
decent sized mouse Canadian Amazon unsure if anywhere else.
What if you buy a 15 button mouse and you just fat finger mouse buttons 4-9 with your thumb?

The one I have is legit called the "XG gaming mouse" and has no website. The closest I could find was this
this looks identical. maybe the company just changed names?
I use a Corsair Scimitar, the iCue software is pretty cool and allows you to have w.e you want on the buttons along with in game key binds. If you're worried about the rotation being on it, just move CD's to it, have it for some of the utility we're getting back or flavour stuff.
There's plenty of cheaper options, I used this for a few years before moving to Corsair when it died but don't remember it costing that much, more like £20-25. Really got me used to using the buttons, but if you don't like it, it's still half what a Scimitar costs.
I also found a wireless one for not much more, seems to have decent reviews but odd that the big boys don't do a wireless option (at least not when I looked in summer, may have just been way above my budget).

I was a clicker up until WOTLK from vanilla, I bought a mouse like this. (I have a Razer Naga)
And I was cured of clicking overnight!
