Reebok Work Duty Men's Rapid Response RB RB8874 8" Tactical Boot https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BFABF8U/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_2DFRT0F3SKX4QJ9RY18D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Composite toe..... steel toe is heavier and in the winter months they will freeze your feet. I wear these 8" boots to ensure I have good ankle support. One bad step into a hole or stepping on an object hidden in the thick grass will ruin you for a week or longer. Also the tread on these are very aggressive and bite into whatever surface you're navigating. They also come in water proof, but I've found they don't breathe that good.
Patrol boots...... I wore them for 15 years before switching careers. Ankle support is a priority. Aggressive tread ensures good footing. Zipper side boots are convenient. Safety composite toe is beneficial (especially if you need to kick something on occasion lol). You'll end up going through a few options before you find the ones that are for you. Just be prepared, don't cheap out on this. And keep the laces tight
