I just searched and it would appear that installing the standard 8T software on the T-Mobile 8T is actually easier than I thought. Here is a guide on how to install the European software on the T-Mobile 8T.
I'm not sure what the exact differences are between the European and unlocked US versions of the software although according to that article "the EU firmware still offers the “Local upgrade” option, which means the user can easily cross-flash a different regional firmware of their choice" so if that is an issue you can install the US software.
When you have that software installed if you purchase a compatible dual sim tray (Here are I few I found: green, silver) dual sim should work.
