Happy to continue feeding someone else's addiction as well, so I'm not the only one. :)
The buttons next to the cup holders are these, simple USB on/off buttons. I have them connected to the USB fans, that way I can turn them on/off and independently from each other. The buttons are double side taped to a profile and the profile is mounted with a RAM mount.
In order for it to work though, you need fans that have a mechanical on/off or speed selector, so it stays on the On position even if you cut the power.
I've been asked on this sub how to signal to others in the house that I am on a call and I tried to describe these lights. Now they are back for sale and I wanted to share. They are USB powered and I used this switch to control them.
Windows 10 has an issue in that you can't really control which of your sticks is player 1 unless you plug them in 1 at a time. So I found these USB extensions (amazon) with rocker switches to put inline. They're super easy to reach spot above they keyboard drawer. Now, I can turn the sticks off and on depending on need.
