My Model Y delivery is scheduled for Tuesday! I'm super excited. The first thing I want to do is get paint protection film installed, but unfortunately all of the installers in my area are booked out at least a month. I'd like to go on a road trip before then, but I don't want to damage my paint.
Does anyone have any experience with this temporary roll-on paint protection film? It looks like exactly what I need as a temporary solution until I can get PPF professionally installed, and the reviews are mostly positive, but I've learned not to put too much trust in Amazon reviews.
I am trying to avoid rock chips and scratches during road trip.
Do you guys recommend: https://www.amazon.com/Road-Warrior-Plus-Paint-Protection/dp/B072B9KRGS/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=Temporary%2BPaint%2BProtection%2BFilm&qid=1605329861&s=automotive&sr=1-6&th=1
Or something similar?
TIA.
Got two rock chips in the front bumper after 5,000 miles, but those are from my road trip from Northern California to Washington state.
If I were smarter, I’d have applied plastidip or a temporary PPF like Road Warrior before those drives.
cool. they even say it works on PPF for the people that are freaked out ones... like me with this car :-)

u/rawdigits have you seen this product before: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072B9KRGS/
I remembered someone mentioned about using this type of protection on their Model 3 and it worked well. I believe they left a review of it too.
