Not sure why no one has recommended the Roccat Nyth. I have been using it for the past year plus and have had no issues. I had the same issue finding a mouse similar in size to the 2011 Naga. Tried the G600, it was huge. I actually have that Red Dragon one someone recommended, but it crapped out in a little over 6 months.
Nyth has the swappable side grips and you can customize the thumb button layout. Great mouse, I recommended it! https://www.amazon.com/ROCCAT-ROC-11-900-AM-Nyth-Build-Victory/dp/B010U57G1K/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=roccat+nyth&qid=1559827324&s=gateway&sr=8-2
I had a G600 for several years, and yes... it's a great mouse.
However, for a year now I own a Roccat Nyth and I'll never look back. The customizable thumb button field was perfect for me because 12 buttons frequently produced misclicks and anything below 6 felt too few.
It's a steep price though and will certainly not be worth for everyone.
A mouse you should consider, that is unlike any you've seen before, made by the Germans. It is the Roccat Nyth, and quite frankly it is amazing. You can even 3D print your own buttons if you want to, and it comes with a set of sides for where your pinky/ring finger go.
Check it out!
Looking to find a specific mouse:
The ooold (2009ish?) Razer Naga Epic with the interchangeable sides was perfect, but they long discontinued it and I've been Frankensteining mice from ebay for awhile. Ideally looking for something that supports my grip type and has at least 4 easy to access extra buttons
I've tried:
I see there is the ROCCAT Nyth but thats no longer being made either and appears to be harder to find than the old Naga Epic.
I've actually been using the M720 Triathalon as its a great size and shape, bigger than a laptop mouse but a bit smaller than full-sized, but only really has 2 easy to access buttons.
Maybe it's best for me to just get used to a different grip type?
You can also try something like the Roccat Nyth that you can customize the button design.
The software is a little confusing and not the best of them, but for hardware no other gaming mouse I have ever tried comes close to the Roccat Nyth. I even ordered some custom 3D printed buttons to make it feel exactly the way I wanted it to for every button. Really comfortable and durable.

Full disclosure, though, I only use this for games with a lot more keybinds than GW2. For most things I use a trackball.
lmao!!! its a roccat nynth. super cool mouse. Its a modular mouse that allows you to customize the buttons and the grip of the mouse. https://www.amazon.com/ROCCAT-Optical-Adjustable-Programmable-Ergonomic/dp/B010U57G1K
Is there a specific reason you find yourself switching between mice? One you might want to check out it the Roccat Nyth. It has modifiable side buttons and finger rest. What Roccat lack in software they make up for in really intricate and unque design. (The only problem being a laser sensor)
Other than that anothe unique model you might wanna check is the Rival 500. I used this for awhile and enjoyed the 3360 sensor for OW. Only reason I don't use it anymore is it's a bit more on the heavy side.
I wouldn't say this is the best info at all but I do hope it helps!
I play with a Roccat Nyth that I have set up with 8 of a possible 12 thumb buttons and yes, it makes things significantly easier.
I use the Roccat Nyth and I love it!!
Nevermind I win.

It can be setup with 6 buttons or 12.
I went from Logitech G600 to the Roccat Nyth recently.
first things first, for me its not about having highest dpi. dpi only really matters when you play at higher resolutions like 4K or WQHD. Currently I own only a full hd monitor and playing between 800 and 1600 dpi, depending on the game.
for me its about feeling comfortable and, most important, giving me options without overloading them. this is very individual. the G600 was okay, as it had 12 programmable thumb-buttons (i love thumb buttons!). but it never was really perfect, cause it just happens, that you misclick here and there. Less so in MMOs, but definately in twitch shooters like battlefield.
when the nyth launched i found the concept very interesting, but the steep price always drove me away. i got lucky like 4 weeks before, there was a flashdeal on amazon, where they dropped the pricing from 129€ to 99, and included was a gamekey worth 40ish.
now after 4 weeks of testing I'm very statisfied. the customizable thumb field is just plain awesome. i found a perfect setup for me, no more misclicks. using 6 buttons now shaped in an H-form. the mouse itself, although listed at 141g feels a bit lighter vs the 133g listed g600. I consider my hands to be medium sized, yet all other mice I felt slightly undersized. I owned bunch of them before. Roccat Savu, Logitech G700s amongst them. Each mouse had some sort of shortcoming. thumbbuttons to few or too small or too cluttered or pressure point just not right. mouse itself felt long enough (I'm using palm grip) but too slim. etc
so far, im very very pleased with the nyth. all the above mentioned shortcomings are gone, its perfect in size and weight...and most important, so far it seems reliable.
I understand the high price wont be justified by many people, for me its worth it, just because of the customizable thumb field.
My wifey doesnt use thumb buttons at all, and she heavily thinks about buying herself one too, just because of that. you can start with like 1 or 2 buttons and work yourself up to 12, as you grow accustomed more and more using them.
Mouses are very subjective, I think noone here can just name you your perfect mouse. But if my post helped you in decision making in some way, I'm glad.
I've gone through three Nagas, including the 2014, and they all developed double click issues. The 2014 also had a terrible scroll wheel and the shape was uncomfortable compared to the original, imo. I've stopped using Razer mice all together at this point.
Have you looked into the Roccat Nyth? Roccat makes very high quality mice in my experience, and the Nyth is their take on the MMO mouse. It has a ton of customization options, including buttons and shape:

I haven't used it myself but I plan on picking one up soon. It's had fantastic reviews from what I've read so far. I currently use a Logitech G502; not as many buttons as a Naga but enough for WoW. Logitech makes excellent mice too, so you might want to check out their G600 as well. Best Buys that I've been to usually have one out of box you can put your hands on.
