I just use something like THIS - but doesn't (easily) pack down...but I never really bother, if I'm taking my decks, controller, laptop, records to a gig, it's not hard to find that space for this in erected form.

It's super stable and gives good elevation which I care more about the pack down convenience

I do have a monitor with that laptop, so I used a stand like this to get a better airflow. The notebook is also used as a second monitor. Thank you for your contribution

check if that box is covering any vents, if you decide to get a stand I'm actually going to start recommending dj laptop stands like this they're ideal for gaming because you can fit your keyboard under the laptop and have the screen closer to you and theirs minimal material holding the laptop for maximum air flow
