Sabrent 2-Port USB Type-C KVM Switch with 60 Watt Power Delivery Option (USB-KCPD) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y2HKN37/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_FSDTQE8R4N09NHAD7656
It’s possible but you’re limiting your power delivery to only 60 watts, it’s not cheap and it’s going to be a ton of extra cables
I use the Sabrent 2-Port USB Type-C KVM Switch to switch between my work PC and my Mac Mini M1. One USB-C cable to each computer, and that's the only connection to them (well, power too).
Works great, but as I don't need the two Power Delivery outputs, they're kind of wasted (they don't work as inputs, although I use one of them to charge my wireless mouse), and this means I need a separate USB-hub to connect speakers, mic, webcam, etc. I do have the wireless Logi mouse and keyboard that others have mentioned in this thread, but as they are connected via one Unifying receiver connected to the KVM switch, I don't need to switch on the mouse and keyboard; they just follow along with the KVM master switch.
Have you had a look at KVM solutions? Some such thing like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-2-Port-Type-C-Delivery-USB-KCPD/dp/B07Y2HKN37
I’m sure with a bit of googling you find one with the correct port configuration, just not sure about monitor connectivity.
DisplayPort cables don’t carry data that isn’t display data. So adding the usb-b cable allows the mac studio to see all of the usb devices that are plugged into the monitor.
I don’t think usb-b is going to work for you as the LG 32 doesn’t have that type of port. Additionally, the only upstream USB port is the usb-c port. An upstream connection is the connection between the computer and monitor. So anything that is not connected to the usb-c is not going to have a data connection and won’t see the webcam.
You probably need something like this. Not saying this a good switch or even decent. But it is an example https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-2-Port-Type-C-Delivery-USB-KCPD/dp/B07Y2HKN37
I have this which I've been very happy with. I have a similar setup to you. This only supports one monitor, but I have my secondary set to auto-detect input with DP going to my personal PC and hdmi->usb c for my work macbook and it works like a charm.
Hello, hoping someone can help me out with my WFH setup. I have my keyboard and webcam going into a KVM switch, and the keyboard works for the most part, but sometimes it will stop working when I switch from my work laptop to my personal pc, and I'll have to unplug and replug the keyboard in. Not the end of the world, but definitely a bit annoying. For some reason though, I'm unable to open VIA when it's plugged in. I'm also unable to use any of the features of VIA like key tester or Configuring the key mappings. Via just says 'Searching for devices..."

This is the KVM switch that I bought, and I'm using a Sat75 as my keyboard. Has anyone successfully been able to use a keyboard while also being able to use QMK/VIA with a KVM switch? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
This is the one I currently use https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-2-Port-Type-C-Delivery-USB-KCPD/dp/B07Y2HKN37 for devices and 1 monitor on 2 computers.
Could not ever find one that supports 2 monitors, so I settled with it. Ugreen may have similar KVMs as well, look them up.
After some digging and googling, I found this.
What do you think? My only concern is that the video input is only via USB-C. Can a EVGA 2070 black output video via USB-C?
I want to connect my PC to this KVM. As you can see it only supports video-in from the computer via USB C (the HDMI is video-out, to the monitor).
Can a EVGA 2070 black output video (2560x1080 @ 75Hz) over USB-C?

2 port usb C kvm, keep hunting and see what you find.
Something decent price wise looks to be $250-$900. Something cheap and nasty <$100. I’d probably aim for the higher end… you might have some issues with signal quality, switching issues, power issues on the low end of muster brands.
You’re kind of on the edge of pro-AV. They used to use KVM’s a lot in live production and events/ conferencing before vision mixers and switchers were so common & cheap/ accessible.
This is a typical KVM switch, supporting USB-C connections and just enough ports for power, monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Sabrent 2-Port USB Type-C KVM Switch with 60 Watt Power Delivery Option (USB-KCPD) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y2HKN37/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_YYNA4QHXYNSCX0P88EZS
I'd strongly recommend the Sabrent 2-Port USB Type-C KVM Switch with 60 Watt Power Delivery Option (USB-KCPD).
Works really well (with most devices) and most importantly, would keep both the laptops charged. It has other nice features like bidirectional USB-A ports, magnetic remote button, etc.
Thank you. That's exactly the one I am after. I will sign up to be notified of when that ones available. Meanwhile, you reckon this product does the same thing ?
Check out the Logitech g915 TKL + mx master 3. The Bluetooth button on the KB makes it easy to switch between laptops quickly to respond to messages between jobs. I also use a Apple magic track pad 2 dedicated to J2 just for convenience. I have 2 MacBooks and 3 monitor setup + KVM switch but the kvm only supports 2 computers(linked below). All this plus an Apple watch for quick unlocking for each MacBook has been a very sweet setup for OE.
It's interesting to see what other OE battlestations look like. Maybe I'll start a thread and post mine

I had a similar scenario to yours (except that I have 2 MBP) and it took me really long time to figure out the right setup.
This is the thing you’re looking for (I got the same):
Sabrent 2-Port USB Type-C KVM Switch with 60 Watt Power Delivery Option (USB-KCPD) https://www.amazon.ae/dp/B07Y2HKN37/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_dvgG7LZqIBjqf
It has power supply for 2 laptops and supports external display. Also comes with a button so you can switch between laptops without plugging out cables etc., but make sure to check specs if it’ll fit your requirement first.
After a bit of research, there really aren't any perfect solutions for multiple devices out there.
The closest thing I've found that will mostly work for what I'm looking for is the Sabrent 2-port USB-C KWM switch with 60w power delivery per port. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sabrent-2-Port-Type-C-Delivery-USB-KCPD/dp/B07Y2HKN37?th=1
I'm going to give this a go and will report back.
I use this one at home: https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-2-Port-Type-C-Delivery-USB-KCPD/dp/B07Y2HKN37/
Works wonderfully.
It has 2 usb c power inputs,
2 usb inputs for mouse/keyboard
1 HDMI output
2 usb c connections for video/control going to the laptops.
A little button does the switch with a small 1 second delay.
So as long as you have a usb c DP port on your laptops you should be good to go.
I had the identical problem for my WFH / gaming setup. Using a 2019 MacBook Pro with USB-C for work and a recently built gaming PC. I finally settled on the Sabrent 2 port USB-C KVM and it’s been working great, allowing me to share my keyboard and mouse across my Mac and PC. The MBP and Windows PC are both connected via USB-C to the switch, and my keyboard and mouse are also connected via USB-A to the switch.
Sabrent 2-Port USB Type-C KVM Switch with 60 Watt Power Delivery Option (USB-KCPD) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y2HKN37/
A few caveats though: 1) Both your computers need USB-C ports for the data input connections. 2) I haven’t yet tested it on the G9 as it hasn’t arrived yet, but it works great on my older Dell (which only has HDMI and DisplayPort options), so I’m assuming it would also work on the G9. 3) switching computers isn’t as seamless as the software KVM on your current Dell probably was, as you’d need to hit the KVM button to switch keyboard/mouse and also switch which input port the G9 should use. 4) the Sabrent KVM has a power delivery option, but I’m not using it since it’s limited to 60 watts and instead just powering my MBP using its standard AC adaptor
Edit: also to add I don’t share my audio between computers, just instead choose to use wireless earbuds for my work computer and then speakers / gaming headset for my gaming PC. The solution I mentioned above won’t help you with audio.
I purchased a KVM switch on amazon for $90. A little pricey but with a push of a button I switch from my work PC to personal Mac, taking the mouse, keyboard, and webcam along with it. So much easier than having to unplug my usb-c adapter between both devices every time I want to switch. The switch also helps a lot with cable management.

You are looking for a KVM not a docking station. Something like this should work.

You need a KVM

Don't get caught gaming at work :)
This looks promising:

I’ve used this one and have no complaints.
Sabrent 2-Port USB Type-C KVM... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y2HKN37?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It works if it isn’t locked down, otherwise I would recommend a usb-c dock with kvm switch.
Like this: https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-2-Port-Type-C-Delivery-USB-KCPD/dp/B07Y2HKN37
there are many options from $60-300 depending on needs
I've had a good experience using Sabrent's KVM.

Just be aware that it steps the output to the computer down about 10W to supply power to all the peripherals. So, if you're planning on using two laptops with this, like I am, just be aware of that power drop.
Nothing ideal. I used this in the past and it meets your needs.
Sabrent 2-Port USB Type-C KVM... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y2HKN37?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It was ok but not always reliable
lolz. this is an area where few solutions exists. not all are ideal. a TB3/4 dock is one thing. switching inputs between computers reliably is another.
I have used the sabrent in the past. my next plan is to use the monitor to switch video inputs and a USB switch to switch between computers (work laptop / personal mac mini). The change from all in one box is partly due to lack of support for a high res monitor and secondly due to reliability of the sabrent model. https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-2-Port-Type-C-Delivery-USB-KCPD/dp/B07Y2HKN37
another model I have spotted is this one: https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Switch-Computers-DisplayPort/dp/B095DDPKN3 is more recent release and looks interesting.
as mentioned for now I will try switching on my monitor and separate usb switch so net two cables - maybe three for the laptop for charging. Given I am mostly wfh this should suffice.
This might be what you are looking for. Sabrent 2-port usb type-c KVM
StarTech makes one to, but it has the hdmi port on the other side which would annoy me.
Sense your yoga is thunderbolt, it will work with usb-c, and obviously your surface pro will work too.
These only allow 2 USB A ports to be shared. Personally I use one Logitech unifying receiver for both mouse and keyboard.
Personally I would love to see a thunderbolt dock that's switchable, but I think there is too much going on between power and data for it to work without having a software utility to undock everytime you wanted to switch.
I bought this last week:
Sabrent 2-Port USB Type-C KVM Switch with 60 Watt Power Delivery Option (USB-KCPD) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y2HKN37/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_N8B9KXBZJY9THFK2HHNG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Seems to work well
FWIW this is the closest I found but doesn't offer proper USB type-c video according to the reviews.
How are connections for that KVM? I got a [sabrent USBc KVM](https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-2-Port-Type-C-Delivery-USB-KCPD/dp/B07Y2HKN37/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2QY60B80T4CET&keywords=Sabrent+2-Port+USB+Type-C+KVM+Switch&qid=1643133118&sprefix=sabrent+2-port+usb+type-c+kvm+switch%2Caps%2C82&sr=8-3) for 2 mac laptops but connections are fiddly, you always have to plug it in/off several times. Sometimes you have to push it against an object. Sometimes it doesn't work after sleep. It's so inconvenient I decided to work without it.
Something like this should work.
Either this or you need a second docking station and a more typical kvm switch to toggle the monitors from one docking station to the other.
> I bought a USB 3.0 to USB-C cable thinking that's all I needed to make this work, but it only detects the USB 3.0 port on the hub and not the monitors and Windows 10 gives me an error that my device isn't compatible
DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt needed for native video over Type-C cannot be supported over USB Type-A at all. Assuming your dock is USB-C DP or Thunderbolt (cannot tell, since you didn't share the dock model, but symptoms look consistent).
Only DisplayLink "USB video card" tech (docks, adapters) works over USB Type-A, but it's not great for video or games, laggy.
Adding USB-C DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt to a desktop is possible, but rarely wort it for KVM purposes IMO (see https://dancharblog.wordpress.com/2020/07/20/add-usb-c-with-dp-alt-mode-to-your-desktop-pc/ by u/SurfaceDockGuy
on how to add such USB-C to desktop; but you would need something like a hacky device https://dancharblog.wordpress.com/2021/07/05/usb-c-gen2-bi-directional-switch-with-pd/ that doesn't always work well).
Search this sub for KVM as a keyword (you will find references to other solutions like https://github.com/haimgel/display-switch).
We would need to know the laptop model, dock model, and what monitors you have (horizontal + vertical resolution + refresh rate for each, e.g., "dual 2560x1440 60Hz" not "1440p"), and if you need USB3 (or USB2 is enough) to go through more specific other solutions instead of asking to search for other posts. (since many of alternative options require specifics (e.g., even if https://dancharblog.wordpress.com/2020/07/20/add-usb-c-with-dp-alt-mode-to-your-desktop-pc/ works out for your desktop + docks with "KVM" functionality have their own specifics https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-2-Port-Type-C-Delivery-USB-KCPD/dp/B07Y2HKN37 - USB2-only, 1 HDMI2.0 up to 4K 60Hz, 60W charging; NB this still won't work without adding USB-C with DP1.2 to your desktop).
> My Idea was to buy a USB 3.0 kvm switch and use an usb-3.0 adapter to connect my docking station with the kvm switch, would that work?
Only with DisplayLink docks/adapters. USB Type-A cannot carry DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt, so no native video over Type-A at all. (any adapter between Type-A and Type-C cannot support native video)
Can you share exact models of the dock, both computers (especially fun if one is a desktop, you may not expect it - but USB-C on desktops rarely supports Thunderbolt or DP Alt Mode), and full resolution (horizontal + vertical + refresh rate, not just "1440p") for monitors?
You will find a bunch of options discussed in the past, including https://dancharblog.wordpress.com/2021/07/05/usb-c-gen2-bi-directional-switch-with-pd/ (a hacky device), https://haim.dev/posts/2020-07-28-dual-monitor-kvm/ https://github.com/haimgel/display-switch (semi-software solution, in your case may need a second dock, but we need details above), some "docks" with integrated KVM functionality (but usually single display https://www.blackbox.com/en-us/store/product/detail/usb-c-4k-kvm-switch-2-port/kvmc4k-2p - maybe can work with MST splitter for dual monitors, https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-2-Port-Type-C-Delivery-USB-KCPD/dp/B07Y2HKN37, except some DisplayLink docks which are not great https://www.visiontek.com/products/vt4900-kvm-usb-c-docking-station-dual-host-100w-power-delivery-triple-4k-display)

I use the same monitors for both PC and Mac. Right now I have to move my keyboard and mouse to use my laptop keyboard, looking for a system I could use the same KB and M for both. Then I can dock my mac.
I would like to plug it into a usb-c kvm switch like this one

Not exactly a dock, I got this Sabrent KVM switch and haven't set it up yet. I need to switch between Mac for work and Lemp10.
I think this is as close are you’re gonna get:
USB-C KVM is what you'll mostly find, unfortunately it is more than what you're looking for since you already have the dock.
