I had a Sabrent dock (basically an older gen of this one) for the first 9 months of WFH during covid, which, between my personal and work laptops, meant it was pushing power almost 24 hours a day.
It lasted 9 months before it failed. While I didn't take it apart, the plastic around the power connector on the back had melted pretty substantially.
I’m using this dock. It supports both monitors, mouse, two time machines, printer, and network connection. I have two or three different manufacturers of this dock but they all look the same just have a different logo. I have two at work and one at home.
I also use that display link app to get the second monitor to work. The app so far is has never glitched.
