Spider mites can be avoided by giving your plants a good weekly shower. Spider mites are attracted to and proliferate under dry, dusty conditions on leaves. Light infestations of spider mites, can be removed with a good healthy shower. If that is insufficient, I always suggest, Safer Brand 3 in 1, which kills mites, insects and fungal diseases. It is safe for use on almost all plants and anything stronger is overkill.
I am absolutely terrified of spiders and at almost 70 years old, is something I've lived with my entire life. As they say, "embrace your fear" and be battle ready!
If one plant develops pests or a fungus, isolate from all other plants a good distance away from healthy plants.
I'm the crazy plant lady, with over 400 plants - indoors - and the worst problem I ever had was a bout of fungus gnats in a large Algaonema. I cured that with GNATROL:
>THE most effective solution is to eradicate in the soil at the larvae level. You need to DRENCH the soil.
>
>GNATROL WDG (Biological Larvicide): https://nufarm.com/usturf/product/gnatrol-wdg/
>
>Gnatrol is 100% safe for all plants and all other insect life, except fungus gnats. Accidentally used 3 tablespoons instead of 3 teaspoons per gallon, on a row of succulents in my greenhouse and didn't harm a single leaf, but assuredly eradicated every single gnat.

Other than the above, check all your plants on a daily basis. That is the best prevention. As soon as you see a problem, research, post, find out what it is (include photos) and fix it ASAP.
You need to use insecticidal soap, your local Ace hardware should have it. or https://www.amazon.com/Safer-Brand-Garden-Concentrate-5462/dp/B001JP7G3Y/ref=sr_1_18?dchild=1&keywords=insecticidal+soap&qid=1603247355&sr=8-18
