> but I have read many reviews of different cards sometimes not working with peoples Switch for various reasons. But I haven't read anyone having the issue with the Nintendo licensed card.
The reason you'll see more issues with other cards is because they're probably sold 20:1 vs the "official" cards.
> I'd prefer to go with the Nintendo licensed product and avoid the hassle of having to ship something back to Amazon if it doesnt work. At least if i have issues with the card from Best Buy, i can drive 10 minutes to return it and get a different one in no time.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd consider driving to a store to return something more of a hassle than throwing something in an envelope and handing it to the mailman.
The licensed card is literally no different than a similarly specd sandisk card aside from the pretty paint job.
Another card, faster than the samsung or "official" cards for $30.
This is shot at 4k 24fps. I just got the pocket 2. Look at the black pole outside or the sidewalk on the pan. It is so jerky. Any hard line seems to be jumping terribly. Is there any suggestions on what to do here. This was all set at auto for now. This is not the same as the footage I am seeing online for the same speed at panning. No ND filter. This was dropped into my machine and then directly uploaded to youtube.

I also just went through all of this over the past couple of weeks too - I followed the same 3rd party tutorials as you did and without them I was totally stuck too. I also had the same problem as you did trying to get my wallet imported and just ended up making a new one with goal on an offline computer. In the end I actually think I prefer that though, since I can keep my participation node's private key offline as a completely air-gapped cold wallet and use my old wallet for future ongoing transactions.
The other issue I ran into which slowed me down a lot was SD cards. The first SD card I got (PNY Premier-X) kept failing after a few hours under the high write loads of consensus and would crash the raspberry pi. The second SD card I picked up (Samsung PRO Endurance) was made specifically for long term durability(like for dashcams), but it was too slow to complete fast catchup. The third SD card worked like a charm - this one if anyone's interested.
One question I couldn't find anywhere - is there a way to know if/when your participation node was actually ever selected by the consensus lottery for block proposal/voting? The mcgilldev tutorial mentions the general rate, but I'd be curious if it's possible to see how many times it actually did occur.
Make sure the SD card is suitable. Some don’t perform well enough and as a result your One X2 will stop recording. I used the one from my GoPro Hero 3 Black and it didn’t like it. Technology has obviously moved on since the release of the Hero 3. I bought a Sandisk Extreme 128GB Micro SDXC with A2 performance and it works beautifully.
>Patriot 128gb micro sd
I found this one
Because I didn't think that just the built-in storage was going to be enough for apps, I bought the previously mentioned micro SD card just to put some software on. I assumed I'd be able to just keep the OS on the built in memory but I guess that's pretty much out the window now.
Is there any reason a thumb drive like you linked is better for me, or is the micro SD card I bought just as good for this use case?
Here is the SD Card from amazon.

Given how close we are to light hotspots, you can probably get away with the 64 gig one to save some money. Might still fill up once or twice until transition is complete, but whatever.

This one for sure works great with the miner
Have you checked Amazon? These things go for like 20-30$ usually. Here's an example from (German) Amazon for 20euros: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_3PFW86QBCM7PQCR1M92Q
I'm not sure where in the world you are, but you should not be paying more like than $40 for a 128gb card.
Is that okay
SanDisk Extreme microSDXC UHS-I Speicherkarte 128 GB + Adapter & Rescue Pro Deluxe (Für Smartphones, Actionkameras und Drohnen, A2, C10, V30, U3, 160 MB/s Übertragung) https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_11XB5S7D55RJJ9SGPQ33?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

This is what I used on my previous device to run apps off of. Apps would often become unresponsive for a few seconds when being run from a micro SD card. Just saying what I experienced.
I've been using this one for a year now with my hero 8 black and no issues. Holds more than enough

I get around 10-11 days of HD by using this 128GB card. I didn't have to format for FAT32. Wyze Cam V3 recognized it right away. It shows around 113G/119G used.
Deleted log folders is rarely a problem.
Step 1) Delete those log folders. I don't think there is a downside to this.
Step 2) Turn off that feature I mentioned.
Step 3) Look into a faster SD card.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FCMKK5X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I have bought several of those cards. 128 gigs is nice and big and they are fast.
But an SD card will never be as fast as a hard drive. I assume you are the non-pro Shield - this will forever be a burden.
If you are truly frustrated - just delete the Plex install and rebuild.
I use the Shield Pro version so our setups diverge a bit.
SD cards do have a finite write cycle, degrade, get slow, and fail.
You should get a new SD or better.
My SD card reads at around 160 MB/sec and writes at 90.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FCMKK5X/
A m.2 SATA can read/write at the max 400 MB/sec on the Pi 4 due to the PI's limiting factors and it has to be a SATA type not NMVE to boot but you would need a m.2 board for that (you can get these drives with 600 MB/sec rated performance and use at 400)
> 19MBs speed
this is slow. My SD card reads at around 160 MB/sec and writes at 90.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FCMKK5X/

Yep playing psp, dolphin and citra games stored in a SD card can make the emulation go slower than stored in the internal memory because some SD cards don't have good I/O speed. You can check it with an app and you can see random reads and other kind of reads much slower than internal storage.
Its important to buy an sd card u3 and A2 like this one: https://www.amazon.es/SanDisk-Extreme-Tarjeta-microSDXC-adaptador/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=asc_df_B07FCMKK5X/?tag=googshopes-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=297962619482&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14066348094024835407&hvpone=&hvptwo=&h...
It could be that your SD card doesn't have a high enough write speed. You need a class 10 speed 3 card to handle 4k or higher fps shooting. What card do you have inside? This is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-Extreme-microSD-Adapter/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=micro+sd+card&qid=1633555313&sr=8-3
I just used the default card Amazon recommended when I brought it, which is this one
I've not had any issues at all with that so I'm sorry I can't be of more help!

i’ll definitely format the card, this is the current one I have. I believe the speed should be adequate but I’ll definitely be using prores if this fixes my issues

I got this one. My card is fine. I don't know if that is because I am in the UK or if I got lucky. I also use my camera, move the files to my laptop, reformat the SD card. It is just a habit. But the card is great and it definitely is real.
Because you can get a Sandisk Extreme with 60% faster read/write speeds for the same price even on Amazon:
They aren't even using high-end cards to the make the Switch ones
> Edit: Update. I ordered two of these and unplugged the V3s, inserted, plugged back in and viola, they both work now. Thanks for everyone's help.
Did you have to format them?
Pretty sure you need a U3-rated card. Look for the U symbol with a little 3 inside it.
I use this one: SanDisk 128GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - C10, U3, V30, 4K, A2, Micro SD - SDSQXA1-128G-GN6MA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_H46D9ENT2ZTPJAM4T4ED?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
what resolution are you trying to record at? your card may be too slow as it is a U1 card. i’d highly recommend buying a U3 micro as card as they are capable of much higher write speeds. here’s a link
No, this is a regular size SD card. It’s too big for the Switch. You’ll want to look for a Micro SD card like this one. Doesn’t have to be the ‘Extreme’ type, it’s just the first 128GB one I found on Amazon UK.
Yep. Un plugged, inserted, plugged back in. Nadda. Tried inserting while powered up. Nadda. This is with two different cards and two different V3s. I ordered a couple of these today. Will see if new cards will work.
Ah thanks, any idea of what transfer rates are ideal? This is the card I bought: https://www.amazon.ca/SanDisk-128GB-Extreme-microSD-Adapter/dp/B07FCMKK5X?pd_rd_w=ekZc8&pf_rd_p=9e996938-7adf-4542-9d87-b1bf91c9bf7e&pf_rd_r=1B5MZ6CRZ06VQPR080NS&pd_rd_r=b65e4a88-b220-4300-958f-5f3795cc781a&pd_rd_wg=LJVWg&pd_rd...
Even game carts to some extent take up memory space, because of updates, dlc and needing to install some game data to the system itself.
You can do one or two things, uninstall games your no longer playing, or buy a memory card. You can get them for a good price. For an example you can get a 128gb for $20 bucks. https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-Extreme-microSD-Adapter/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=sr_1_4?crid=30QG11SBRC8FP&dchild=1&keywords=sandisk+sd+card+128gb&qid=1606845643&sprefix=Sandisk+sd+%2Caps%2C176&sr=8-4
This is on their “approved” compatibility list and still giving me issues. I just ordered a different card that a friend has had no trouble with on his Hero7. Does the Hero8 have this issue?
Sorry idk how to make it smol. But these are good prices rjght
The setting I put on the filmic pro is 4k 24fps 16:9, filmic extreme, AVC currently and the card I have is this.
Huh. Guess it's a walmart exclusive.
The V30 rating means it's certified for 30 MB/s continious write speeds, so as long as your bitrates are lower than that you'll be good.
30 MB/s = 240 Mbps. That's reasonably fast - it could handle CinemaDNG 4k 30p raw video out of a BMPCC4k.
The equivalent Sandisk Extreme card is a little bit cheaper on Amazon though
Sandisk SD cards are pretty good every time I’ve upgraded it’s just been with a Sandisk and so far they have done me well
Edit: this is the one I had before I upgraded. Had it for over a year with no problems
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_yBKiDbDR0ENEE
Make sure you're using an SD Card that is on their list of approved models. I was having trouble with my H7B freezing, not turning on, and difficulty transferring media, but I had a very high quality SD card so I didn't think that was the issue. Finally dropped some money on a card that was on their list, and now my camera works perfectly. This is the one I got. For $25 bucks it's a pretty cheap way to figure out if that's your problem.
I don't think so. The red switch branded version is a U3 rated microsd card so it's probably more akin to the Sandisk 128GB Extreme, just without the A2 cert
This switch branded version also has a lifetime warranty (similar to the Sandisk Extreme)
My AT&T S9 was upgraded to Androrid Pie two weeks ago. Last week I was on a business trip and took over 500 images while away. Out all of those images, these four were randomly mixed throughout. They are at different times, and even different orientations, but all the exact same file size, so I know there is no chance of recovery. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Since upgrading to Pie I feel like the camera is very laggy, I often would push the shutter button several times until it seemed like it would actually take the picture. I also recall once where I took a picture from the lock screen and it showed the preview in the little circle, but when I tapped it to bring it up full size, it gave me a Toast notification that said something about no pictures have been taken, even though I could see the thumbnail. When I went to the gallery, it was not there, not even a green image in its place. Could this be a bug with the Android Pie update, or an issue with my recently purchased SD card?
$23.77 in the US
It is on the list of approved cards for both MAX and Hero8
https://gopro.com/help/articles/Block/microSD-Card-Considerations
Well is cheaper on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_QsCuCbJEQKA8S
Stick this in your pipe
Literally no one is surprised a branded product is more expensive than an identical non branded product but you
Also on Amazon SanDisk 128GB Extreme microSD UHS-I Card with Adapter - U3 A2 - SDSQXA1-128G-GN6MA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_x-BuCb52X2R5X 26.49
A 128 gig SD card is $24 on Amazon right now(actually can go as low as 18.39 if you don't care about damaged packaging). So that Lite bundle really isn't much of a deal.
You can browse through Black Friday ads, and see to some extent what is on the horizon.
This is a bad deal. It is cheaper on Amazon.

All I know is this one is working fine about a week in after maybe 20 reboots. Did not do any power supply modification."Free Disk Optical Drive Simulation Module for GDEMU DC Dreamcast V5.15B" on eBay, mine was ~$47.69. Used this guide. 128GB SanDisk, I grabbed this one. Works great. For multiple disc games, put each disc image in a separate folder and click the button on the GDEMU to move on to the next disc when the time comes.
go with sandisk Id recommend sandisk since theyr know to have some of the best i currently use one at 256gb and it works well.
I have been using SanDisk 128GB Extreme on my Mavic Air 2 for last 6 months. No issues so far.
I got my set up from Amazon... This is what I have. I posted about this in another thread earlier where the same situation occured.

That's the one I got and it works great!
Cheaper than on DJI website too
Since you are in the US I recommend heading over to Best Buy, and have them price match amazons price on these 128GB cards....They are all really good and you can save yourself some cash.
have them price match amazon
and now you can get 2 cards almost for the price of 1.
Thank you for replying! I'll definitely be picking up at least 1 Enduro battery.
As for the card, would this be the correct one to buy? I just learned what timewarp is and I'm interested in trying to record one of those for a 30-45 minute ride. Can I just export files to my PC and then delete the footage from the SD card at that point?
As for the price, this is the bundle I'm looking at. Do you think it'd drop any lower than that when the 11 releases? I have no idea what the price range is go GoPro sales. I know no one knows for sure, but have they been known to go any cheaper than that previously? Thank you.

You will need a memory card with the MicroSDX form factor, and with a maximum storage capacity of 128 GB (the Redmi 9 does not support higher than that).
Here is one example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMKK5X
Short answer; because Samsung just is better.
Long answer; Yes, but with reasons.
SanDisk and Samsung are both really good flash for SD cards, but best buy is just having a really bad price, making it appear as a good deal.
Samsung cards typically have better reliability, customer support, endurance, and value compared to SanDisk.
You'll also find that Samsung typically supports more features, such as the EVO Select being a A2, v30, UHS3 hard vs the SanDisk ULTRA being a A1, v10, UHS1.
UHS is the minimum sustained write speed, being a multiple of 10. So UHS1 is 10mbps, and UHS3 is 30mbps.
Therefore, Samsung is always better.

PRO TIP: we've had five RAK miners fail during the past three weeks. They have 32GB 30MB/S "write" speed CF cards in them.
The cards were completely worn-out.
Some had even switched to "failsafe" write-only mode. -Rendering them useless but preserving the data.
Get yourself a bunch of 128GB High performance CF cards. We used this model. Note that the performance grading system on these godforsaken flash cards is extremely subtle and complicated and required many returns - so use the ones in our no-affiliate link unless you have good reason to do otherwise).
They're like $20.00
Use a program called Balena Etcher to copy your old flash card to your new flash card. Insert. Re-synch. You should be good to go. Do NOT use other programs. 9 out of 10 screw up.
ONLY use Balena Etcher. It's free. It copies it bit-for-bit and expands the disk size to use the full card. This is important. Because it take CF card memory cells 10x longer toRASE and REWRITE a given flash cell than to write an empty flash cell.
I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FCMKK5X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Still gives me issues from time to time for no reason. Not sure if it's the cam or the card. Will definitely test it out with a fresh microSD card.
You need a new micro SD, I suggest this one (I've got 2 of these and work great on it): https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07FCMKK5X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 because the stock card is complete garbage.

I think you're still misreading what he's telling you.
A UHS-I bus (like the Deck has) supports all of the normal speed classes you'll see - C10, U3, V30, A2, and below.
A UHS-II or UHS-III bus would be able to support faster speeds. The only speed classes I'm aware of that "need" this bus are V60 and V90. Technically a UHS-I bus can handle the write speed for the V90 speed class, but UHS-I cards aren't supposed to use the V90 label.
If you look at this $23 128GB microSD card, you'll see that it has a roman numeral "I" next to the letters "XC". That means it has a UHS-I bus. You'll also see that it meets (or exceeds) the U3, V30, and A2 speed classes.
If you look at this $109 128GB microSD card, you'll see that it has a roman numeral "II" next to the letters "XC". That means it has a UHS-II bus. You'll also see that it meets (or exceeds) the faster V90 speed class, plus the same U3 speed class that the other card had.
You probably don't own a UHS-II card, and you probably don't want to buy one today. It would be a nice feature to help future-proof the device, but realistically most people wouldn't benefit from it any time soon.
Not sure what the rule is for links, but I've been using this card for a long time without issue. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FCMKK5X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It is recommended to use v30 micro SD card like SanDisk Exetreme v30
Haha right, sorry bout that. I'm trying to set it to 4k 24fps 16:9, filmic extreme, AVC. As for the SD card, it's this.
Trying to get this 5th gen restored and I keep getting error 1429 in iTunes. I’ve tried with two different brand new 128gb micro sd cards (Sandisk Extreme V30 & Sandisk Ultra U1 ) Both I have tried fresh and reformatted to Fat32 following the guide on the iFlash site.
I’ll plug it in and windows will pop up saying it can’t recognize the drive and asks to reformat the same time as iTunes pops up saying it’s detected in recovery mode and asks me to restore it. I’ll try to restore and it will hang on the loading bar for a few seconds before saying it encountered an error (1429).
I’ve made sure the zif cable is in as far as I feel comfortable pushing it in. Just not sure where to go at this point.
Yes yesterday morning I had the same error message. https://i.imgur.com/6PgarBB.jpg I’m using SanDisk 128GB Extreme MicroSDXC... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMKK5X?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. I didn’t have anything significant to save so I did format the card although it likely wasn’t necessary.
No. There's only a slot for the micro sd card. Something like this https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-Extreme-microSD-Adapter/dp/B07FCMKK5X
I purchased this card for my Mavic Air 2 and it has been working perfect:

That's not worth $110. 256 + 16 GB is worth about $60-70 new on Amazon. I personally use exclusively SanDisk and use two 128GB Extreme Plus cards on my a6400. Coincidentally, that's exactly what this article recommends. (The only difference between Extreme/Extreme Plus is Plus is only available in physical stores.) I have two 128GB cards so I can swap them every month but you can buy one 256GB card from Amazon for the same price. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMKK5X/
I've had days with like 80 sentry events and never went over 100GB. Been using this card:
SanDisk 128GB Extreme MicroSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - C10, U3, V30, 4K, A2, Micro SD - SDSQXA1-128G-GN6MA
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMKK5X
However it does look like that there are 256gb microSD cards that work with the zero, provided the board is v1.3
If that doesn't work, add a second SD card by hooking up an SD card reader to the GPIO pins:
https://hackaday.com/2017/08/05/add-a-second-sd-card-to-the-pi-zero/
And then you can use LVM to span a volume across both cards: get a 128gb SD card fr the reader and boot from a 128gb uSD card partitioned into a 10 gb boot/root area and a spanned LVM or mdraid volume across the rest of the uSD card and SD card combined, and then use that for cam footage. Alternately, you could split the TeslaCam folder into two partitions, mount one to RecentClips and another to SentryClips, and if you want, a third partition for music as well.
Will I notice much difference between these two cards:
Sandisk Extreme A2 - 128gb, This one is on the list
This one is not on the list, but has worked okay in my gopro hero 6
Thank you for any advice
This is the one I have for the RP1

Whichever one you get, make sure it's an A1 or A2 if you want to run it as an internal. I had a few Samsung 64GB ones floating around and the all gave me the same "Too slow" error when I tried to format it as internal.
SanDisk extreme 128gb micro SD works great and it's only $28 with Amazon Prime. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6NACCb5XKD9NB
Hi there,
Is the 128gb Sandisk Extreme memory card supported by the H7B? I've had a look and only the 32GB and 64GB are detailed on the gopro website.
