Delete this. This subreddit is to save people money, not post misleading information on unsuspecting buyers to spending more money. And on top of that who would spend money on two* 64gb cards when a 128gb is obviously more suitable. Here's a link to Amazon for a 128gb card for $31.99 available nationwide and no Costco membership required.
Howdy folks. There is another option that's cheaper and was posted today..
Does this sd card on amazon work in the Switch?
Absolutely you can get a 128 for about $25 off Amazon. I have like 60gb left and I only archive games I am not playing at the moment.
Sandisk Ultra 128GB Micro SDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter - 100MB/s U1 A1 - SDSQUAR-128G-GN6MA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_xIBZBbE575EGP
I only spent a few minutes looking it up, but I'm not sure if there is a read speed difference between uhs classes, while there definitely is a write speed difference.
Amazon link that Nobody_is_lurking posted for a 128 gb card has a comparison between it and a 64 gb class 3 card, and does not list any difference in read speed. There might be a difference in minimum read speed though, I'm sure what they're advertising is the maximum.
Amazon will probably be your best best on prices. Prices fluctuate weekly. The SanDisk A1 256GB seems to go down to about $40 fairly often.
If you dont mine my asking why not just get a 128 GB card they are about 20 bucks on amazon... Seems like having to do all that seems redundant if you could get a cheap option that in my opinion is better.... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_5z34CbDNRDJKV
It will work just fine. But you can get a better card of the same size for cheaper on amazon.
I know the whole bit about shopping locally, but buying Micro SD cards at retail is basically highway robbery.
[US] You can order a 128GB card for $19.99 through Amazon [right here](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rcsfDbSM2B8E8. It’s already been widely agreed upon that Nintendo’s official micro SD cards are overpriced for no good reason.
Amazon. I have bought several of these cards over the years and I have never had a problem. They always format yo the correct size.

Super cheap sd cards are often low quality and you risk corrupting your files. Spend a little more to get a reputable brand such as sandisk
PSA: If any of you saw my pricematch with Staples post the other day, I just received it. They sent me a faster card by mistake(?). Instead of the older 80mb/s card, they sent me the newest card like the one Amazon recommends for the switch.
https://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Ultra-128GB-Micro-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
Are you in the US? If so and you can hold out, you are going to find a bunch of great deals on Micro SD cards on Black Friday/Cyber Monday, so I'd wait until then.
Regardless, $34 is expensive for a 128gb micro sd card. You do not need to use a Nintendo-licensed micro sd for the switch - any micro sd is compatible. It's not like the Vita/PS TV where you need Sony specific cards.
EDIT: Just looking on Amazon shows a Sandisk 128gb micro sd for $22.88 https://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Ultra-128GB-Micro-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1540956803&sr=8-1&keywords=128gb+micro+sd
128GB for $20 on sale on Amazon US right now.
Don’t grab the Nintendo/Sandisk branded ones. They’re overpriced for the same product.

This is what I’ve got in my PSP right now: https://www.amazon.ca/SanDisk-Ultra-microSDXC-Adapter-SDSQUAR-128G-GN6MA/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=asc_df_B073JYC4XM/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292925723919&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12732056169082587810&hvpone=&hvp...
Any MicroSD card would fit in the adapter and work, but just note that the PSP isn’t designed to work with such large storage spaces so it’s a bit slow sometimes when loading the list of games on the memory card. It was super noticeable after switching from an original 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo to that 128GB MicroSD, but I don’t even notice it anymore
I use this: SanDisk128GBUltraMicroSDXC
The complete US sega cd library is ~100gb, and that leaves plenty of room for the Genesis, Master System, SG-1000, and even GG2SMS libraries. I think my card is it 111gb used.

What's the gray one? All the SanDisk logos I've seen are red.
Anyway, 100mbps is fine. This is the first SD card I used with my Switch, for example. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073JYC4XM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Someone may jump in to correct me, but as far as I'm aware disk speed has no real effect on performance. If you're going to spend more than the minimum, I think your better off in every respect if you just focus on capacity.
There's no way that card is regularly $110. Amazon has it for $30.00 on sale for the same price of $23.99.
Avoid that and get at least a 256, if not larger, because many games are 10gb+.
I have a 400 in mine and with all my games, updates, dlc, homebrew/emulators and ROMs, I'm looking for a larger card.
A 256 is $40.
That's a good point, and the Vita I bought myself last Spring actually did have the original cord & charger. When I ran into trouble finding a similarly mint-condition one for my brother as a Christmas present and was running out of time, though, I decided to give him my mint Vita and keep the last mildly-scratched one I'd received, which happened to have a third-party cord & charger.
I just checked, but Mercari, Amazon, and eBay don't seem to actually have any original cords for sale. LetGo isn't around anymore, local Craigslist & Facebook Marketplace rarely have anything, and OfferUp is unfortunately scammer heaven right now. Do you know where else I could get one?
I definitely agree about the Funturbo SD2Vita — that's the same model I've been using for the past 9-10 months, since it had such good reviews.
I actually upgraded from my initial 64gb to 128gb (different sizes of this Sandisk Ultra) just about a month ago, but in spite of all tests indicating the 128gb is genuine, it's only running at about half the speed of its predecessor, both in the Vita and in my USB card adapter. I'm tempted to grab one of the lower sizes of the Sandisk Extreme you linked to, though from what I've read, the Vita's r/w ability is limited enough that it shouldn't matter. Any thoughts?
Just buy a SanDisk Ultra MicroSD, if its from Amazon only purchase it if it says "FULFILLMENT BY AMAZON" - that way if by any extreme rare chance you get sent a fake one you will have zero issues returning it for a replacement... as in you simply press a button "Return or replace items", follow the short steps and you will get the Free Printing USPS or UPS label to send it back. At the same time while they are sending you a replacement.
Be careful. There's a lot of counterfeit memory cards out there. Stick to major brands from reliable sources. Here's one I've used that's fast and still reasonably priced: https://smile.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sr_1_26?crid=GA5NODC6VLZ5&dchild=1&keywords=128gb+micro+sd+card&qid=1605923728&refinements=p_n_feature_two_browse-bin%3A13203834011&rnid=65183010...
Actually I was checking the speed of the card with and desktop app and it says in all the test I did it has a write speed of 59.4 MB/s and read of 90 MB/s
This is the one I have

Write: 58 MB/s and read 90.4 MB/s
Yep that would be it. Real quick does this look legit to you. it's $3 less than sold straight from Amazon and you just have to wait until March 30th. I'm a little wary buying sd cards from anyone but Amazon. Is the risk not worth the $3.
Sweet! I've been thinking about picking up some storage for my switch.
Is there any way you could lower the price a little considering (amazon)[https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1546667121&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=sandisk+micro+sd+card+128gb&dpPl=1&dpID=41LjPhDuATL&ref=plSrch] is only a few bucks more with prime shipping?
I saw some other people helped you, but I’d like to add that you should be carful when shopping, there are a ton of sellers who sell fake SD cards that’s are not the capacity they say they are.
I recommend buying one of the SanDisk cards from Amazon while making sure it says “Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.” They are pretty dang cheap right now, too.
Protip for SDs:
Not a great deal. That size SD card is regularly $20-$21 on Amazon. So if you buy a Switch and the card seperate you save $10. The card I am linking is that size and currently $20.99

I’ve had no issues with it and have been highly satisfied so far. If you are on twitter follow Wario64. Amazon tends to have them on sale and this guy tweets all the deals. Hope this helps.
And specifically I'm talking about this one, which they still have up: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B073JYC4XM
Take a look at the reviews, especially recent ones. It seems they were selling a real one initially and then they started selling the fake one. It's wild that Amazon still has it up after all these people have had the same problem. And by wild I mean we should have heeded the warning of those old soothsayers who told the young ones that Jeff Bezos may seem like he sells dreams and the future now, but he is seeking to fuck us all in the ear, and lo, once the market is captive, he will fuck us all in the ear.
What sort of size are games these days? I ask as got a Switch about a month after it came out and buy a mixture of physical and digital. I got 128GB SanDisk at the time and only now is it close to full. So I was thinking about this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter-Performance/dp/B073JYC4XM?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_965d5514_0&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE though I am a bit loathe to give Amazon my cash. But either way, I see people talking about much higher cards but I assume they are just buying tons more digital games than me (I tend to buy one a month, mixture of Indie and Full Price games).
Amazon. I have bought several of these cards over the year and I have never had a problem. They always format yo the correct size.

128GB Sandisk microSD cards are 15$ right now on Amazon.
your Switch has 32 GB of internal memory. if you plan on getting some digital games you will probably run out of space relatively fast
SD cards are dirt cheap these days. you can get a 128 GB card for 19 bucks for example.
I use this one. It really just depends on if you think you’ll be buying games digitally or not. 128gb is good enough for me, and I don’t think I’ll need to buy a bigger one anytime soon based on the games I buy. If you try finding one for cheaper, just be careful and make sure the seller is reliable as a bad SD card can lead to some problems.
no there’s no advantage or disadvantage either way. but if you decide to go digital download, you’ll eventually need a microsd card to expand the built-in 32gb flash storage. the built-in will only get you a few games. i recommend this. 128gb is a good starting point, and more than enough for most people. if you feel it would be better to go bigger, you can get the 256gb model. i wouldn’t get a card that isn’t SanDisk or Samsung (people have good results with PNY but i’m unsure if they’ve been officially tested) though as those brands are tested by Nintendo to work without problem.
buying used is perfectly safe also. though if you’re concerned, i recommend buying used from a shop and not a private seller, just in case.
Is the 512 gb card and the 400 gb version both sold by amazon
128GB Sandisk cards are on sale on amazon.
If you dont want to support a megacorp, any Micro SDXC card you can find will work.
The only requirement for Switch is that the transfer speeds exceed 60mb/s. 100mb/s will get you the best performance.
Just try to stick with brands like Samsung, Sandisk or Kingston. For quality purposes.
PNY, Lexxar, and tons of companies have higher failure rates comparatively.
Fair enough. I'm not tech illiterate for the most part but I thought for the most part "Micro SD Card from a big company like Walmart, it should work 🤷♂️". I guess I should've done a lil more research. Do you think something like this 128 GB SanDisk one from amazon would be trustworthy? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM Or should I try to go in-store and buy one from a trusted big retailer.
for reference, I bought my card here on Amazon.. definitely shouldn't be a fake lol since I bought it straight from Sandisk. May just have to get a new one :(
Not the one i had in mind, but it might be faulty so i suggest you get yourself a new one from Amazon link . Im using 128GB and I'm satisfied with both performance and size. But if you want more it's up to you.
I use a sandisc 128gb microSD card and a usb Adapter for it. Works like charm. The card was 12 bucks two days ago on Amazon, check it out if it's still available. Got it for 20 last summer.
Edit. No longer on sale but this is the one https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM
Hey all! I’m hoping to get a Switch this holiday season so I’m doing what I can upfront to allow me to get started right away.
First thing, I’m looking at storage. I’ve found this on Amazon SanDisk Ultra 128 GB microSDXC Memory Card. Is 128gb a good amount to get started with a mix of physical and digital games? The price ~£15 seems excellent so want to make sure it’s not slow or unreliable.
Also, are there likely to many sales around Black Friday? Be that for the console or games? Additionally, can I start buying eShop games that are in sale, so that when I get the console, I can log in and download them all?
Thanks!
Question about Micro SD card prices on Amazon - Are they legit cards?
So I just bought a Vita Slim model a few days ago and finally got it hacked and then last night finally got around to ordering a SD2Vita card adapter. So now I'm looking for between a 32GB and maybe up to 128GB as that would be more than enough space for what I need. My question is are the low prices I'm seeing on amazon for these micro SD cards actually legit cards? The Sandisk cards in the link are $20 for a 128GB card. I know nothing about these micro SD cards, so is that a good price on a card that size? Thanks in advance, any input would be appreciated.
Like this?
Is there any real difference between ultra and extreme? If it's just to shave a couple seconds off load time I'm not worried, but if there's more to it then that..
Edit: Went to the SD card FAQ and it's actually one of the recommended ones. So I will get this. Thank you!
The SanDisk Ultra A1 cards work great in the Viofo dash cameras. They MUST say A1 on the card though as the older, non A1 cards are troublesome in dash cameras. The A119 supports up to 256GB. https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=sandisk&qid=1557710002&s=gateway&sr=8-5
Honestly? Amazon (Canadian Amazon btw). Try to stick to the ones shipped and sold by Amazon. Reason I have for that is I had a bad time with one from a different seller. I think it may have been a fake one and kept corrupting data.

Yeah honestly bandcamp's user music collection is awful. I'm sure you purchased one of those discography packs for $5 like the rest of us and can't even find anything in your collection anymore. The solution to this problem for me was to buy an sdcard and put it in my Android. I just download and store most of my bandcamp collection on that. It sucks downloading it all, but if you do it once it gets easier afterward. Just remember to be organized.
Why is the Amazon one ordinarily so much cheaper (Regular price 27.48 / Sale 20.43) compared to Best Buy’s (Reg 139.99 / Sale 24.99). Granted, Best Buy isn’t above doing that as an advertising ploy, but it seems there should be a difference right? Anyways, here is the Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1544818698&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=sandisk+128gb&dpPl=1&dpID=41LjPhDuATL&ref=plSrch
The Wii U was so under utilized I cant believe how many games came out on it that did not put the MiniMap onto the gamepad
I mostly agree however... 128gb high end SD card for $30 is not really rediculous
I got burned by one of these sellers by not paying attention. Amazon CS was very cool to resolve w/ a refund. I took a photo of the fake, as well as a genuine version and sent it off to them to verify that I had indeed been duped.
This is a fine choice, just make sure the seller is Amazon specifically, not some third party.
What's a reasonable SD card size? There's a 128 GB one on sale and I'm wondering if it'll be enough to get a decent number of xci's or nsp's (primarily AAA, I don't care for indies too much) on at once.
Thank you for the response. What do I format it to? Fat32? Also, I bought it from amazon. I

Can’t beat this one: SanDisk Ultra 128 GB micro SD with Adapter $37.36. I just got it with free shipping (no prime) and it arrived in 2 days (choose free 5-8 day shipping, or free 2 day if you have Prime).

I would say the Sandisk 128GB should be good enough, unless you'll be buying a ton of digitals. I personally went with 128GB rather than any higher since I'm only buying indies for digital :D (Unless we're going to get a lot of retail digital only titles that plague vita).
And the only one I remember is Hollow Knight... which is coming soon it seems :( Hopefully very soon!
I know this isn't technically necessary for PCs, but I believe I have seen them pop up here every once in a while. I figure I might as well ask before pulling the trigger.
Does $45 for a 128GB SanDisk Ultra Micro SD card seem like a good deal? I've been holding off on buying a memory card for my Switch for the longest time but have finally hit the internal memory cap (yay Nintendo with their generous 32GB internal memory :P).
I'd get the fastest one that's a reasonable price. Considering the price segment of the laptop I'd assume the SD card slot is USB 2.0.
Stick with major brands so you're less likely to get a fake card. This SanDisk is $40 for 128 GB which isn't bad.
I have used this without issue since January but just for backup save files and modding files. I recommend and external HDD because its faster and SD cards are not really designed for constant use. And you get so much more space per dollar with a HDD.
Using a Pro Hero 5 Black and finally buying some memory cards are these ok to use?
Not sure if there's a guide, but this is what you're looking for in an SD card
My suggestion would be this Sandisk card for $40.
Thank you sir!
So you think this would work just fine?
Edit: Looked more closely and saw that people actually buy with Switch items so I would believe so haha.
Thanks /u/klammymaster!
I got that micro sd from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073JYC4XM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 when I try to transfer "album" file from old to the new micro sd the screenshots don't appear on the Switch and it becomes unable to take screenshots unless I format the micro sd. What am I doing wrong, can someone explain me the detailed steps, please.
I just bought this microSD card:
and when I tested it on Crystal Disk Mark and H2Testw, it reported 20something Mb/s write and 32 Mb/s read speed. That's way off the advertised 100Mb/s "transfer speed" (which I assume is write speed?). Looking at it closely, and also looking at the box I can't spot any signs of it being counterfeit. Did the included SD sized adaptor somehow screw up the tests, or is this marketing 101?
So what's the difference between that card and this one on Amazon, besides $15? Only wondering because Amazon has it at $50 normally and Best Buy is saying theirs is normally ~$160.
Sandisk Ultra 128GB Micro SDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter - 100MB/s U1 A1 - SDSQUAR-128G-GN6MA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_lxYaAbVTY8PHS
Actually, Amazon has right now a GREAT MicroSD card deal. I just bought a 200GB one.
So, I need an answer fairly quickly on this. Would this MicroSD card work in my New 3DS XL? I currently have a 32GB MicroSD in my N3DSXL. Would I have to reformat the new MicroSD into FAT32? And how would I do that?
BOTW is 13.4 GB before DLC, DLC adds a little to that. Internal Storage is 32 GB, so that's roughly 40% right there. However, you CAN get a Micro SD Card and slap that into your Switch's Micro SD Slot. I got a 128GB Micro SD for roughly $40 here... https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-128GB-microSDXC-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1507086888&sr=1-5&keywords=128+gb+micro+sd+card
Mine isn't currently filled, and wouldn't be if I bought all my games digitally yet, but I've gotten into the habit of getting my Single Player games on cartridge, and getting my Multiplayer games digitally, that way I can share my Single Player games to my girlfriend and brother and such when I've finished with them for a while.

Its not the only one, just do a search in amazon even the most expensive ones are still cheaper then 70 dollars
The free storage helps to offset the loss, but it does not negate it.
I can get 128 gigs of microSD storage for a one time payment of $44. Google's storage prices inexpensive, to be sure (and I take advantage of them). But they're not that cheap.
Not everyone has unlimited data. Sometimes, you don't have data at all. Sometimes your data speeds are marginal.
There are pros and cons in the manufacturing of a cell phone, and removing a microSD port clearly has its own. But for an end user, the inclusion of a microSD card has clear and obvious benefits. Its exclusion, much less so. We might assume or guess that certain things do or do not happen, but that is raw speculation.

Not a huge deal 128gb for $20

Just found another 128 GB card on Amazon for $42.99: https://smile.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-128GB-microSDXC-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1508621896&sr=1-1&keywords=sandisk+micro+sd+card
There's a sale for a 128gb card for $27 lol
https://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Ultra-128GB-Micro-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
It's not really that big of a steal. Normal price is 49.99$ for the NEWER model...and it's on sale for 40-45$ on Amazon.
If you don't care about the logo on the card
I highly recommend anyone looking to do memory expansion for their Switch to not go with the particular version of the Sandisk Ultra microSD cards. You'll be better served getting either this Sandisk Ultra or the Samsung Evo that /u/Squidula linked to in his comment.
Both have 100mb/s Read/Write speeds versus this one's 48mb/s speed. Some games may lag or just not load at the lower speed and it's only going to be more and more of a requirement to have the 100mb/s speed in the future.
microSDs are also on sale if anybody just wants those:
Amazon has 128gb sandisk microsd for $25, and also on amazon you can buy digital eshop money as in you will be sent the code in a few minutes

First thing you need to ask is when did you buy your switch? If it’s June of this year or after it’s probably got a hardware patch and you can’t hack it. You can check here by serial number.
If your switch is exploitable then go on amazon and get yourself an sd card (may want bigger storage depending on how many games you’ll want) and a jig. Alternatively, you could get an SX Pro, but unless you don’t mind spending extra money, it’s kind of overpriced and everything you need to do without it is pretty cheap and easy.
It’s easiest to let your switch format your sd card to exFat, but DON’T update to 6.2 FW yet. It’s cracked but CFW hasn’t been updated yet. set up 90DNS.This is so you can use internet apps like YouTube and even play some games online later on non-Nintendo servers without worrying about Nintendo detecting your mods. Also, FYI the switch lan play works on OFW and banned switches as well.
Then backup your clean NAND using hekate VERY IMPORTANT you do this BEFORE you load any CFW or autoRCM for the first time. The only way you’ll ever be able to go back online to eShop and play online on official Nintendo servers is to restore your clean NAND backup (removing CFW). Also keep in mind your fuse count will need to be the same when restoring this so try not to update your FW (even using offline methods) unless you do it without burning fuses.
Then follow instructions here to setup ReiNX (CFW) and a few other important programs and settings you’ll need.
Then go get Smash and have fun!

You want a card that tests at 90+MB/s.
The sandisk ultra or the samsung evo select both test at above this. The evo select is generally a bit faster overall.
I bought that Sandisk card about a year ago and it's holding up well. It's also only $30 on Amazon right now (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_MbDJBbWKHSPK5).
Also cheap on Amazon.
128GB for $26.41, 64GB for $14.75, 32GB for $9.39. I believe flash memory is dropping with cryptocurrency dropping.
Amazon also has a similar deal a little bit more expensive but no $4.99 flat shipping
Amazon Canada has SanDisk Micro SD on sale that look pretty decent price wise. Are these a good value?
SanDisk microSD Ultra (no Nintendo branding) is $29.20 on Amazon right now.

Yeah, this is the faster sd card that is the Deal of the Day at Amazon: 128GB - 100MB/s U1 A1
The 200GB is $49.99
Sandisk Ultra 128GB for $40 or 200GB for $63.
Make sure Amazon itself is the seller. Never, ever, buy SD cards from 3rd party vendors or Ebay.
I actually found a SanDisk on amazon for $38
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_-K21AbKJ2T6W5
I Got the 128gb SanDisk Ultra on amazon and some hockey stick wax for under $40 so it was delivered the next day! Its like 12 Hrs of footage
Amazon also has SanDisk cards on sale. Same price for the same size.
yup that's the rate of it right now. if you want to save a little more, amazon actually has a a sandisk ultra 128gb for $25. eligible for prime too.
https://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Ultra-128GB-Micro-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM
I bought the 128GB one from amazon and am pretty happy

The 200GB option seems pretty good too (consistently under $60)
Bought it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B073JYC4XM/ Works great, no problems at all.
Something like this would be fine. Sometimes Amazon can have fakes, purchase through Amazon, do some googling on how to identify if it's fake or not.
Sandisk Ultra and Samsung Evo Select are the two that I usually recommend.
I don’t recommend buying these from third-party sellers, though. Buying directly from Amazon makes you less likely to get a fake SD card. (It should say “Ships From and Sold by Amazon.ca”)
We’re you able to see if the SD card works in a different device?
Oh i think it's this one https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MicroSDXC-Adapter-MB-ME128GA-AM/dp/B06XWZWYVP/
The Sandisk Ultra and Samsung EVO Select cards are the best bang for your buck. Performance and capacity wise.
128gb is a solid starting capacity but if you buy a bunch of games digitally you might want a larger one. Even physical titles may still require a micro SD card.
I bought it here on Amazon
SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSDXC UHS-I card with Adapter (SDSQUAR-128G-GN6MA) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_glt_i_C5SF97DX1BQKNC5QQY2W?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
or use UHS-I, which does 6GB/minute (100MB/s), so a sub $30 sd card will do?
None yet, but you typically see phones fall 1-2 generations behind other devices that use this standard, because phones dont need it as much as the cameras and other devices that use it to its max.
if your SD card supports some of the newer SD versions (UHD-II, -III, or SD-express), then your SD card can potentially do up to 4000MB/s, or 240GB/minute.
even at UHS-I, the standard allows 100MB/s or 7.5GB/minute, so its doable on older standards as well. For that, well, theres multiple SD cards like this one on Amazon, which work perfectly in any of the newer Samsung phones which support UHS-I.
So, a good phone today with a good SD card can potentially already reach that 6GB/minute number, even without newer connections.
sorry to bother but is this safe?

like no scam or anything

As a minimum of extra storage I will suggest to go buy a SanDisk Ultra 128gb microsd, it should be $20 - https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM
For safety get one of those glass screen protectors, not sure which is the best one but first google search was this one: https://www.amazon.com/amFilm-Tempered-Screen-Protector-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B01N3ASPNV
Get an Official Pro Controller(Costco should have it I assume) or if you don't want to spent much get one of those cheap wired $20 PowerA Pro Controllers elsewhere.
Here's the sandisk; I have a few of these. They work great.
Here's the samsung. The evo select is the same as the evo plus, just sold exclusively on amazon (hence the label and name change).
If the prices were closer I'd go for the samsung, but with $11 between them, the sandisk is the far better deal.
I purchased a microSD card on amazon that follows nearly all the requirements for compatibility and it is not recognized. After it didn't work I looked on amazon again and there is a near identical microSD card that is Nintendo licensed and 12 dollars more. The one requirement that is exceeded is the transfer speed at 100MB/s which is over the 60 - 95 MB/s listed. However the Nintendo card also advertises transfer rates of 100MB/s.
I am led to believe that the switch can handle reading at 100MB/s but writing at only 95MB/s. If this is the case then the Nintendo branded card is 12 dollars more so that the write speed can be 10MB/s slower? Also 12 is after prime discount, listed price the difference is 30 dollars.
I have no other uses for microSD cards so I would prefer to not spend more money on another card just to confirm that the Switch is damaged. If anyone can confirm that it is in fact a compatibility issue I suppose I have no choice but to buy the more expensive card that has the same specifications. Otherwise I will attempt to contact support for repairs.

EDIT: Also after browsing the sub a little more, the SD I bought is literally linked as a recommended card so I am inclined to believe the Switch is damaged
Too expensive wtf? You do realize the Sandisk ultra 128gb is currently at $20(18.21 new with prime from amazon, 16.94 used from amazon warehouse). And it used to be for $30 for almost a year which also was still quite cheap, I am sorry that you found that expensive.
OP buy it from Amazon the Sandisk Ultra 200gb is at $40 ($39.48 new with prime from amazon, $38.70 used from amazon warehouse) -edit- forgot you are UK I assume, still priced good: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter-Performance/dp/B073S99KPQ/
is there an amazon site for the philippines? currently $22usd. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073JYC4XM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
try searching the ASIN.
for instance, take this product (not a shirt, but the process should be the same):
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM
The ASIN is B073JYC4XM
so we do a Google search for that ASIN
https://www.google.com/search?q=B073JYC4XM
first result is the Amazon listing. I also see a link to CamelCamelCamel as well as the following link:
where someone posted a link to the product in a forum, and their link includes an affiliate tag (the &tag=b0c55yh-20
is their affiliate link)
I recommend buying off of Amazon because they are pretty cheap right now. If you do get it on Amazon make sure it says “Ships and sold by Amazon.com.”

Bought a 128GB Sandisk micro SD on Amazon for $16 last week. they are normally less than $20 but $20 right now.

You can get 128 GB one off amazon for like $20 If you don't play a lot of digital games a 34 GB might be best then. Which is like $7

I have a lot of digital games and even the 128 isnt enough for me xD I might have to switch to 256 or 400 myself lol. But unless its a spare sd card or something and you need one theres the one i use. I had it for over a year ^^ Hope this helps!
No, the card is only $18.99
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM
or get the faster card for $19.99

You can get Sandisk 128gb for around same price on Amazon

OTG https://www.amazon.com/AuviPal-Charging-PlayStaion-Raspberry-Chromecast/dp/B07TZFS7V7/
You could probably get those adaptors and the OTG cheaper , I got them on eBay for 1 and 2 bucks each from Chinese sellers, takes a while to arrive but works.
Here's how it looks https://m.imgur.com/a/Hyd14QO
It's also possible that Alcohol 120% isn't mounting the image correctly. I create CDI images using DiscJuggler and Daemon Tools 3.47 in a Windows XP virtual machine, but obviously that's not the most trivial thing to set up. An alternative way of creating Rhea/Phoebe images is to use Daemon Tools Lite and CD Manipulator; both of these programs are free and work on Windows 10. The correct settings for CD Manipulator can be found here.
My Sandisk 128GB microSD card is formatted exactly like yours. This is the particular SD card that I use: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter-Performance/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=sandisk+128gb&qid=1574860546&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&sr=8-3
SanDisk Ultra 128 GB is the best value for money per Gb from a reputable brand that I have seen. If you want more storage buying 2 is cheaper than the next bigger card.
It was this Sandisk from amazon.
Relatively new switch owner too. Theres a decent SD card sale atm here https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sr_1_4?crid=158VV8J0JCGGK&keywords=128gb+micro+sd+card&qid=1565204222&s=gateway&sprefix=128%2Caps%2C161&sr=8-4

If you need a Memory Stick with more storage and have 30 dollars left over, consider buying this 128 GB Micro SD Card at https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=SD+CARD+128+GB+SANDSIK&qid=1558658866&s=electronics&sr=1-2-spell (Make sure to get it shipped by Amazon and not some other retailer for maximum chance of getting an official and not counterfeit card) along with a Micro SD Card to Memory Stick Duo adaptor like https://www.amazon.com/Funturbo-MagicGate-Playstation-Portable-Handycam/dp/B07F68FCHD/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=PSP+Memory+Stick+Adaptor&qid=1565311107&s=electronics&sr=1-3 to allow it to fit inside the PSP, and be patient while it tests your SD Card. Use h2testw to verify that the SD card is legitimate before using it in the PSP system. Counterfeit cards will show "The media is likely to be defective." on h2testw along with a large amount of bytes next to the word "DATA LOST."
Always check the prices. The savings can be Knight and day.

You don’t need ones branded for the Switch. $79 for a 128 GB card is way too much. You can find a Sandisk card for $20
The 128GB Sandisc card works and I used a 2.0 USB card reader. https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter-Performance/dp/B073JYC4XM/
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM This is going for $22 right now and Samsung’s U3 sd card is at $25.
I think it's sold directly from Sandisk?
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B073JYC4XM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1
I bought one of these for mine.
Works just fine, but you will need Linux or download a different partitioning tool for Windows like minitool. Otherwise you wont be able to format it to FAT32, I think Windows 10 will only do NTFS and exFAT on these.
128gb for $20 on Amazon. This is the one I got. SanDisk 128GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - 100MB/s, C10, U1, Full HD, A1, Micro SD Card - SDSQUAR-128G-GN6MA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_rw9cCbZ0D93X2

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B073JYC4XM?th=1
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XFX9N84?th=1
And the same question, but for the 64GB versions of each of them.
Both of these were in the subreddit wiki on SD cards:
https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/wiki/microsd
But I don't know if one is better than the other for the Switch. In particular, I'm concerned about the speed.
What is the speed difference between this and this

Sure. This is the one I use, from Amazon: SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSDXC... https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B073JYC4XM?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Yep.
Niiiiiiiice. The speakers on it are amazing. And the S-Pen is easily one of the most useful accessories to ever come with a phone. Here's a fantastic video covering a ton of stuff you can do with it.
You can snap up a 128GB microSD card on Amazon right now for <em>suuuuper cheap</em>. $27. Or you can go for a 200GB one for $45, or a 256GB one for $65.
Easily and cheaply expanded; Non-Issue
Ignore classes; they're minimum write speeds. Most cards will test differently in real world use.
Here's a great 128GB card. Or, for a bit more, a 200GB card.
The samsung evo select are excellent cards as well; they're a bit faster than the sandisk but cost a couple bucks more.
I use the microsoft pen.
I did indeed buy the slim adapter that you are talking about, i specifically bought:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B073JYC4XM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and the BaseIQ adapter for the sd card slot.
The adapter is almost flush with the side, but i do feel it stick out a tiny bit when i run my finger along the edge, but i don't really notice it or find it to be a big deal.
I don't really know the technical specs but I can tell you how well it runs on my SP4. I got this micro sd card from amazon.
And these are the speeds I get from running CrystalDiskMark

You'll need an SD Card. If you're the kind of guy to delete single player games after he's done with them, snag a 128GB card ($30) just to play it safe.
https://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Ultra-128GB-Micro-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
If you like having all of your games downloaded at all times then go for the 400GB but it is significantly more expensive ($160)
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-400GB-Adapter-SDSQUAR-400G-GN6MA/dp/B074RNRM2B
Get the 128GB SD Card, since Nintendo are going to support the switch for more than an average 6 year lifetime it’s worthwhile, since many smaller games charger often 10/15$ more for physical releases. This is this years version, and about the same price on Amazon.ca

I'd go with the i7. It is nearly twice as fast, because it is an 8th gen CPU. (5000 benchmark v. 9000 benchmark) and I think you'll encounter better battery life on it as well.
You can always opt for a 128gb microSD and the adapter it needs to expand storage for about $70.
Sorry to hear that

That's the one I bought two weeks ago.
> I'd heard they were reliable
Yes it's a good brand.
Here's a 128GB card for $42. Not the best sale, but still a decent price for a great card.
This samsung card often goes on sale for $40 or less too. It's slightly faster than the sandisk and overall the best card for the money.
It's not on sale yet but this card was on sale for $30 before and during Black Friday.
This one was also on sale for $28.49, no promises that it will be same price during Christmas sales.
How does this compare to this?
In the market for an SD card since I'm hopefully getting a Switch for Christmas.
With all of the posts I've been seeing about WWE 2K18 in regards to the slowdown being potentially related to slow SD Cards, I was wondering if I picked up the right one:
Looks good. I myself got a smaller sized similar one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073JYC4XM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
SanDisk 128gb for $43.99: https://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Ultra-128GB-Micro-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1510292143&sr=1-2&keywords=128+gb+micro+sd+card
Samsung 128gb for $44.99: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MicroSD-Adapter-MB-ME128GA-AM/dp/B06XWZWYVP/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1510292143&sr=1-3&keywords=128+gb+micro+sd+card
SanDisk 128gb for $29.99 available via Best Buy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sandisk-ultra-plus-128gb-microsdxc-uhs-i-memory-card/4471009.p?skuId=4471009
Edit: the best value is the one from Best Buy. The one downside is the read speed is 80mbs/sec compared to 100mbs/sec of the other cards. However, this will barely affect load times in games.
FYI thats the transfer speed. marketing gimmick, sandisk has stopped providing write speeds.
as per actual specs, it does do 100 mbps read but write speeds are slower. Check the stats on amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=twister_B074PKFVV3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Lexar shut down their business and I would recommend jumping on their 633x series cards, target recently had them on clearnace.
Or go to GoPro's list of recommended microsd cards and get that one. https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations
Yep. This one.
This one looks like a newer version. I just got the 200GB for $50. Awesome for my brand new Switch.
Here's one I just found on amazon. Pretty sure this is what your looking for.

this is probably a stupid question but the switch is a gift and i just wanted to know if these particular sd card works on it (im not very tech savvy) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B073JYC4XM/ref=ox_sc_act_image_3?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1
this one is on amazon deal of the day. $37 free same day
SanDisk Ultra 128 GB microSDXC Memory Card + SD Adapter with A1 App Performance Up to 100 MB/s, Class 10, U1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_qsOxDb1XRWVGX this is the link. Sorry did not mean to miss it out. Lol.
i would recommend you this one.. but there is tons of SD card that would work great on the switch, and the size really depends on how much games you have, and mostly if you prefer digital games over physical..
The main thing you should look for are that is an UHS-I or better or with U1 or better..

This one is another option, its a little more expensive due to better data speed, but specially for the switch both will work exactly the same
This is the card I would recommend for the A129 DUO. Just make sure it's the A1 series. The Samsung EVO Select on Amazon is also a good choice. It's does not have to be an endurance card.

I got this one and haven't had any issues with it
I recommend if you haven't already to grab a decent sized micro SD card. 128gb or bigger. Every game is going to be at least 14gb each not counting DLC and game saves. So a 128gb card will probably handle about 7 games. Since you have multiple kids you're looking at 2-4 games a year minimum if I had to guess ( Assuming you have 2 kids and get them each 1 game for birthday and Christmas). Average lifespan of a Nintendo system is about 6 years. So you're looking at around 24+ games over the course of the system's lifespan.
You may be better off getting the 400gb micro SD card if you're already paying extra to get digital games.
The cheaper option would be to get multiple 128gb cards for the switch but those are even smaller than the game cartridges so a 400gb card will save you the hassle.
Considering you've bought the games already at $60 now are going to sell them for $15 and then rebuy them again at $60 digitally you may just be better off keeping the physical games you have now and just going digital in the future.

I would assume this is your listing then. When you scroll down to popular reviews there are 2 from 2017 saying how great the product is, but then 5 in a row 1 stars saying they were fakes. But when I filter by date on all reviews there seems to be plenty of 5 stars in the same time-frame as well. So I was just asking around. Glad to see you got a good one! might take my chance as well. Considering sold by amazon I could always return just didnt want any issues with my switch.
They are both UHS-1, there is not a difference other than the switch logo. You may be looking at a different card.

128 GB Sandisk Micro SD for 31.99 on Amazon. Its 20% off. I think its a good price, if anyone is looking for a good Micro SD.

You can pay 14$ more and get the A1 rated one on amazon. Still a good deal on this card tho
That shall fit inside the internal storage without the microsd, however to be honest... you should own as a minimum the 128gb Microsd... why? Because its currently like $20 https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073JYC4XM
nobody knows the actual read and write speeds of the vita but if you are worried about speeds https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=twister_B07B3MFBHY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I use the 200gb version
Amazon $20.48 FS w/ Prime, still pretty good if you don’t mind supporting our future supreme overload Bezos.
