Even if buying from SanDisk directly? Didn’t know there was much of a difference in SD cards but I found out it’s good to have smaller ones than one large one in case of failure etc
SanDisk Ultra 32GB Class 10 SDHC UHS-I Memory Card up to 80MB/s (SDSDUNC-032G-GN6IN) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0143RT8OY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_HWZLDbKTHD4WG
being a current-gen game with all the DLC included, snowball's chance in hell it would run less than 60 USD
32gb cards aren't as expensive as they used to be. You can pick up a 32gb SD card for like ~~10~~ 7 dollars retail.
Not to come off as a troll or anything, but have you considered simply purchasing a larger sd card? I myself finally broke down and bought a 64gb Sandisk sd card last year for $20 and it's way more than enough for all of my roms and even Sega CD isos. I just checked Amazon and that same 64gb card I bought last year is now only $12. (Sold and shipped by Amazon, not a shady third party seller.)
edit: just doublechecked the link i posted and it defaults to a 32gb sd card. there are options to choose 64gb and 128gb.
Does your camera take a very long time to save a RAW image after a long exposure of > 30 sec? I took a 4 min exposure yesterday and it took almost the same time to save the image to memory card. I was using A7 with this SD card. Is the (slow?) memory card to blame?
Thanks!
> good, high quality SD card. Make sure it's high endurance and not some generic Sandisk SD card
Such as what? Whats wrong with regular sandisk SD cards such as this? https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-Class-Memory-SDSDUNC-032G-GN6IN/dp/B0143RT8OY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1525218853&sr=8-3&keywords=sd+card
I'm not saying get that one, but there are others at reasonable prices (and a known brand), just have to search "sd card class 10" to find them.
My number one tip is to make sure you do a FULL format on the SD card. I used this card to do Letterbomb, and even though it's formatted to FAT32 by default, Letterbomb wouldn't show up at first. I then used Window's built in format tool and it still wouldn't work with "quick format" checked. Once I unchecked "quick format" and let it take the full 20 or 30 minutes to do the format, that got Letterbomb to show up.
Thats the fastest rating for an SD card.
They would probably use something more like this, which says up to 80 MB/s.
SD, SDHC (High Capacity, originally up to 32GB) and SDXC (eXtreme Capacity, up to 2TB) really only relate to storage capacity.
You want at least 32 Gb for RAW+JPEG and FHD at 60fps, that should store around say 1,000 stills and 30 mins of video.
As for speed, if only one speed is shown on the card then that's the read speed so be careful. Even cards rated at Class 10 and UHS I might struggle to keep up with Full HD at 60fps or bursts of RAW, so you might want to go up a speed bracket. Look for V30 and a 3 in a bucket on the card.
If you go to Amazon and look at the difference between the SanDisk Ultra which is definitely fine for full HD at 24/25/30 fps but might not stretch to 60fps and the Extreme which will definitely cope and the Extreme Pro which is rated for 4k UHD video.
I'm using SanDisk only as an example of a reputable brand, there are plenty of others like Transcend, Lexar, Samsung, Polaroid …
This is the SD card that I use for my ventures on the Wii. You will need a USB drive in order to play Wii disc backups from your game library. Below are links to the two storage devices that I use.
(Note: 32GB is the MAXIMUM size for an SD card on the Wii.)
Device: SD Card - Capacity: 32GB - Price: $8.99
Device: 2.0 USB Drive - Capacity: 64GB - Price: $7.99
Probably would, I personally used this one https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0143RT8OY/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_glt_i_8YJGEBYJ8DGAQRTTW6V8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
These are good, reasonably fast, come with a lifetime warranty and are the most popular SD card on Amazon. The 16gb version is under $10
Yeah, just buy another couple SD cards. Check the link below, they're $10 apiece for a better performance card than the one you chipped.
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-Class-Memory-SDSDUNC-032G-GN6IN/dp/B0143RT8OY/
Currently $9.62 in the U.S. Or the 64GB is $13.
Generally speaking, any SD card will work. However, if it's too slow, you might not be able to record video for very long, and writing images to the card might take longer.
That said, the T6 isn't a particularly demanding camera for SD cards. A card like this won't limit the camera in any way, and is quite affordable.
You might also want to pick up a few accessories. I personally would suggest getting a lens hood. They help prevent flare, and can even slightly protect your lens against impacts from the front. There's no reason to buy the official ones, though. Here's a third party one that will work on your lens, and is way cheaper than the Canon one.
You might also want a tripod, so you can play around with long exposures and low light shooting. It doesn't really make sense for you to buy anything super fancy at this point. I've heard good things about the Amazon Basics one, and it's less than $20.
Beyond that, you might want a camera bag. I don't really know much about what is out there right now, but there should be plenty of options. It might be a good idea to go to your local electronics store and try out a few, since you want to make sure that it's comfortable.
Let me know if you have any other questions, and good luck shooting!
So would an SD card like this work?
Would this work stock?
This would probably be better: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0143RT8OY
Just ordered a 2DS.
I'm planning on playing DS, GBA, and 3DS games. (Edit: Can I play NES games on this? o-o Original Legend of Zelda deserves another playthrough)
So for the sake of performance I should buy: http://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=146 ?
And I should get the 2GB Kingston? Or buy it elsewhere? That's a pretty good price and 2GB is all I need for sure.
The 2DS I'm getting comes with a 4GB SD card. 3DS Games are 1GB each easily.
Is this a good card to get? Like will it work? https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-Class-Memory-SDSDUNC-032G-GN6IN/dp/B0143RT8OY/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1488791526&sr=1-4&keywords=sd+card
What (if anything) can I use the 4GB card for if I'm using this 32GB card?
And, finally, What's with the tons of homebrew launchers or w/e? Where can I brush up on that? Luma seems to be the one suggested ?
