You should get one of these animal warners, but shop around first, you can find them cheaper.
Also, something to know about birds, when they fall or crash into the windows (which is preventable by applying stickers on the window), they may seem dead while it can just be a concussion. Wrapping them in a towel/blanket and keeping them warm helps them to get back on feet and fly away.
As for the baby birds, it’s recommended to leave them where you found and let the mama birb pick it up.
Not saying what you did was wrong, but just adding this here for Reddit’s information! :)
Whoever downvoted him knows that most animals are stunned by bright lights. That is why deer and other animals get hit on the road so often. Hense devices like car whistles exist , to scare the deer off before the lights stun them.
Evolution failed to account for cars, for some reason.
may not pay for the repairs though and might even kill you if they go through the windshield.
While visiting a friend in Indiana, many people there have a kind of inaudible (for humans) car whistle that is activated with speed and will supposedly scare away deer. https://www.amazon.com/Living-Products-LLC-0001-Save-A-Deer/dp/B003XNGLJU
They have so many accidents hitting deer it's a serious safety issue. A lot of people I talked to had personal experience with either close calls or outright hitting deer.
Looks like one of these. (Deer Repellant)
They should have put their deer whistle on the front
They have whistles you can buy to put on your car to help prevent this:

I saw a deer get hit by the car in front of me around 91st and Garnett a few years ago. It was a juvenile and the poor thing's foot popped off and flew about a 100 feet. Pretty sick. I also hit a baby mountain lion one time in Oregon. Felt horrible.
There are whistles you can put on your car to repel them, if you are so inclined.
Might consider investing in a deer whistle. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003XNGLJU/
Used to have to commute through a wooded area with a lot of deer that would run out in front of me in the fall. Someone suggested these. I swear these saved me many times. I put them inside the front grill of the car facing forward. If not these, then try another style. Stay safe.
i think they invented something to save the deer back in 1902 when these were invented:

XD
The technology already exists, it just needs some minor adaptations.
I can't get a good bead on exactly where that is, but it looks like it could be a deer whistle: https://www.amazon.com/Living-Products-LLC-0001-Save-A-Deer/dp/B003XNGLJU
I live in a rural area full of deer.
