I’ve always had to use something like this https://www.amazon.com/Scosche-LSAAB-Antenna-Adapter-2002-Up/dp/B004W34BBK?th=1 on our Toyotas when I installed a new radio. I forgot it when I put a radio in my old Camry and radio reception was almost non existent. The last Corolla I put a new radio in was a 2007 and I think I needed the same radio antenna adapter.
