I wouldn't wear faux suede in a downpour but for a light drizzle, it should be fine if you treat it with a suede protector like Scotchgard

Those look like suede which gets ruined when wet. Remember Jerry Seinfeld's new jacket?. So, don't get them wet! In the future, spray suede shoes and jackets with a specially designed protector spray and then water will sort of roll off.
