Products with chlorantraniliprole (GrubEx) are best since they don't harm bees but they are best applied by early June.
Products containing imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, clothianidin should be applied in June or July and immediately watered in with 1" of water. If you're going to use a chemical that is harmful to bees, please at least mow down any flowers in the area first.
