Gotcha, the issue is that you won't find documentation on the project manager's style because what's documented is the project, not how it was run in most cases. Your best bet would be looking resources on project management (like a how to go guide) then talking to actual project managers.
I've worked with a ton of them over the years and some are really into agile and improving velocity while still producing. Others are really into gantt charts (which are horrible imo), others like to just wing it, others prefer to strick to a mechanism like Scrum.
I would recommend digging into SCRUM as it will give you a really good insight into how to manage project correctly and efficiently. Take a look at this book. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JI54HCU

This doesn't account for the new scrum guide in 2020, but its a good read from Jeff and JJ Sutherland. Also available as an audio book through your library via the Libby app.
