Stock tires (I live in the Bay Area) and SCC cable chains. I was glad to have the chains. The RAV did great. Such a difference to have a heavy vehicle with AWD vs driving on snow in my Prius!
I went with the Z6 from the same company that you linked to. Just make sure to get the version that fits the tire size you're running. I purchased dedicated snow tires for winter, but have these just in case there is a need for something more and for those times when checkpoints at least require you to be carrying chains.
I got these for my 2021 Prime.

I only have them as a last resort in case they haven't plowed the last stretch to the ski lifts or I get caught in a storm and must drive. They would also satisfy the California rules for carrying chains in the winter.
Never heard of these before, but will definitely look into them when my current cables wear out. I use these and generally really like them. Usually pretty easy to put on but once in a while it’ll be off just a little bit and impossible to close all the way. You don’t have to roll your car forward through, which is nice.

I drove from SF to Truckee in a snowstorm in November, with chain control at Donner Pass. The R4P drove GREAT on the snow (especially since I’m comparing it to a Prius, ha). Technically I think with the AWD and the stock tires you are OK w/o chains, but I chained up anyway, with these. The wheel well clearance made it very easy to get them on. The rest of the weekend I drove on snow without chains, no problem.
+1 to what everyone else said here. Just to add another option, I have the XSE (which says to not use chains) so I got these low-clearance cables that fit quite well. Given that you have the SE, it's worth looking around more, but just providing another option that's fit my Prime well.
I have the XSE with stock tires too and asked the question here a week or two ago. I ended up getting these cables and they fit well. Many other people get them for a specific low clearance Subaru. I test fit them a couple days ago and there was plenty of room on all sides. They were easy to put on, but probably aren't quite as easy as autosocks.
It wasn't worth getting winter tires for us, as our city doesn't get snow at all, but the mountains for skiing just an hour away have similar chain laws to yours.
I just bought a set of these for my XSE. I can't vouch for them just yet, but I've used the same brand, just a different size, on my old car, and they were super easy to install on the road, and I don't think you can get much better clearance-wise.
19 GT FWD here with 225/55/19 wheels, we're looking for snow chains for the same reason and it's been a pain to find a good set. We initially bought the Z6 chains but not enough clearance between the suspension. I posted about it here
We're giving the Peerless AutoTrack, haven't dry fitted them but they look promising. I can post back after we dry fit them

I’ve used these on three vehicle and bought a pair for my Prime. Never had any issues.
I have something similar to this https://smile.amazon.com/Security-Chain-Company-SZ429-Passenger/dp/B000HZFDQ4/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2QXSOXZK4JF9F&keywords=tire+chains&qid=1639768070&sprefix=%2Caps%2C120&sr=8-3
They are easy to put on, dont wear on your tires like actual chains do, and you can drive on pavement with them at slow speeds (this does not mean leave them on all the time)
I bought these:

I haven’t tested them for traction yet, but I have tested putting them on and it’s very easy (maybe 5 min total).

Bought these for my Prime. Pretty easy to put on.
These may be better:

According to the manufacturer the "Super Z6" cables are okay in even tighter conditions than the regular "Super Z."

Also the "sidewall cables" on these seem to be coated, and should be less prone to scratching the rims.
These might be the ones to get.
