After I read your comment I immediately went outside to test and make sure I haven't been running it on drive. On sport mode I still max out at 15 mph.
Eco: 9 mph
Drive: 12 mph
Sport: 15 mph.
I'm already linked to the segway app and the New Rider Tutorial says completed.
Here you go 😀
I bought my son a “used” Segway-Ninebot Max (the older version) on Amazon, but he said it was brand new when it arrived. He loves it. Here’s the link.
Segway Ninebot MAX Electric Kick... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WYXXL4V?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It’s G30P. Been sitting in my cart since a while now lol Segway
Segway ninebot max , pretty up there in price but has good range and pretty good speed, con is that it weighs more than other scooters and could be annoying carrying it up stairs
Oh shoot! That's all the way in the east coast.
I'm in Washington🤦♂️
Was this the scooter you bought?
It’s still working. Check the $100 coupon box. Go to checkout to see total.
The Ninebot Max is on sale still for $649 on amazon. If you search this forum it gets favorable reviews from Reddit. I ordered mine on Black Friday and hope to have some miles on it ASAP.
You can also ask amazon cs to give you an advance credit on your hiboy so you can get the price before it goes up. It worked once for me but it’s worth a shot.
I own a Ninebot MAX! As far as it being a full time commuter, yes it's ready for that! They are reliable for sure. However, Segway does not guarantee it in heavy rain conditions, and from their website, quote: Segway-Ninebot electric scooters are water resistant but not waterproof. We do not advise to immerse your scooter into water.
But many have rode there's in heavy rain with no issues; so just a fair warning (I won't be doing so). In those rare situations, there's always a Ride Share that can get you and MAX, back home; I have the App but I've yet to need one. There are no legit safety options to make it any more rain resistant than what they've done in factory; again, fair warning.
I'm in downtown Des Moines, IA., and I do not own a car. Here's how I do it. I order online monthly, from Groceries dot Walmart dot com, for the bulk of my groceries; one could do the same with most major grocery chains. That way I do not have to spend my time there shopping, and then packing all that back home on the City Bus. It's a total of $13 (shopped, delivered + tip). Then, if I need a few items in-between the big orders, I walk to a more pricey grocer that's 4 blocks away. I also shop from Amazon dot com Prime for many other things; clothes, electronics, my MAX, my ride camera, and so on. I do not like physical shopping!
But I have a hook on mine that I use whenever I go to a drive-thru window for fast-food; that alone gets the looks and the questions from all the girls therein, which I like :-). Here's two hook options; front or back (get both)! Also, tie this in a wrap-around fashion on the handlebar stem just in case! For drinks, here's this and that!
By doing it this way, I'm never far from the MAX for long, but when I am out of eye view, I cable lock it to something. Here is the "right lock" discussion and problem; pro thieves who target bikes and scooters, carry in their vans or trucks, a cordless grinder, and with a steel cutting blade, any lock can be cut, given enough time. However, if they think it can still be tracked, they may decide to select another one to steal. Hence, stick two of these on both sides of it too; they do not know for sure if you have a GPS tracker inside or not.
The Max is back in stock on Amazon https://www.amazon.ca/Segway-G30P-Ninebot-MAX/dp/B07WYXXL4V/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Segway+Ninebot+MAX&qid=1594921027&sr=8-1
If you want one buy quick as they sell out fast.
Canada also has some decent scooter retailers check out.
I agree, can read a lot of reviews on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Ninebot-Electric-Long-range-Foldable-Portable/dp/B07WYXXL4V
I have a friend who is around 310Lbs and he has ridden his ninebot around for more than 500 miles already and it is still holding up strong. Here is a link to Amazon, I think it is on sale right now: https://www.amazon.com/Ninebot-Electric-Long-range-Foldable-Portable/dp/B07WYXXL4V. I also advise you reflash it, these things can easily be flashed for 50% increased power and have no issues. But of course do it at your own risk. If you don't want to ruin your warranty I suggest not reflashing it.

Was it a kickscooter? If so what do you recommend for a lock? I just got a ninebot max but I’m too scared to take it anywhere where I have to lock it up lol

I ordered from Amazon.ca and surprised there was no sales tax charged. Its reported online that the NineBot USA seller doesn’t charge it.

Why do I need a car period?
I can just drop the car aspect, pay $200 more on rent and be in the downtown area.
With an amazon account I can get anything I need deliver to me, next day. If I order early enough it will show up same day.
An $800 EV scooter and I can get around anywhere I need in this city (Austin TX)
Why the fuck does anyone that is single and doesnt have kids need a car for ?
The sub $2k ev scooter market is about to explode.
You dont have to buy expensive ass cars to be EV.
Shit I ride around in a M365 and ES2 scooter. For Around $500 for both I am now moving around the city carbon free.
If your commute is under 25 miles try the Segwat Max. Amazon has a presale going on right now for $800 and this scooter has a 40 mile range.
