Well thanks all for the ID.
Bad news (well not bad, just news) is that i can get it cheaper in Canada, so I'll be putting htis purchase off for a few months when I return.
I was hoping that it would be cheaper in Japan; it would have made a great souvenir.
Seiko SNDC33 maybe?
Seiko 7t92 movement, chronograph will count up to 12 hours, unlike the timex which does 30 minutes.
I have the same watch in black dial version. Great watch for the price. The fly back chronograph is amazing.
This has quite a sale now, from 250,to 90usd on amazon - [link]
Id say it looks quite similar to yours, only lacking the steel band, but I'm kinda sure you can find it somewhere.
P.s next time, firstly would advise using the buying guide from sidebar. This exact watch is from it. Just pick your price range, look at models and throw them in Google - might see some good deals on spot.
Top is minutes. Left is hours. Bottom is the "clock seconds" the big second hand is the chrono timer seconds.
This watch is not easy to read the minutes timer because the minutes and hours hands are silver and very small.
this seiko may be more legible at a glance.
There's the Seiko SNCD - great looking watch. Not quite the same look as the Tissot.
First Casio is alright but a bit busy, second is too big (45mm but it is nicer looking).
I have found this though - a Seiko Chrono, though not exactly speedy style (no bezel) I am leaning towards it at the moment...
Best I've got:
I have a Seiko SNDC33 and have been pretty happy with it. The minute timer goes up to 60 minutes, but with an “hour hand” to measure up to 12 hours. The black dial is easy to read and has good contrast with the hands (and great lume).
Like you, I don’t need the 1/20ths measurement it has and wish it had the day as well as the date. But for $100 it’s been a really solid EDC watch for me.
Also, don’t keep the stock band, it’s terrible. I put a Barton Elite Silicon band on mine and have loved the more casual look on it. But if you grab a good leather band the watch dresses up nicely too.
Edit: Just saw that you’d prefer one without numbers on the dial. This one has the same movement with a slightly cleaner face.
I'm not sure about the suit, I am currently getting one made by Indochino but my first jacket had to be remade, I have heard other negative reviews about them too. It is cheap though.
For a watch I've seen a lot of nice seiko and nixon watches on amazon for under $300. The seiko watches seem to be more classic and the nixons are more modern looking.
This has been my daily wear watch for some time now. It's a little beat up but I bought a new strap and I think it looks pretty good. Not fancy, but the watch is extremely accurate (1 second per month variation). Lot's of great function in a small package (I often use the chrono frequently and having the date is a nice bonus). I have a "girlyman" wrist so anything over 40 mm looks silly. If somebody is looking for a $100 area watch that is not too big and can be worn in both casual and professional settings I think this is a really solid option. I think I'll be wearing this for a long time to come.
I like this much better than the one I was looking at, although this is double the cost of it.
There are very few men's chronographs below 40mm. I found a Seiko that is. However if you're not too bothered about it then if you search for ladies chronographs you'll find a much better selection (you probably couldn't tell anyway just by looking). For example: Timex, Seiko
Hey I just got this seiko [link]
And I think its a bit more versatile than a gold watch would be. Just my 2 cents
Heres some more pics of it
I'm actually selling my chrono since I never wear it anymore. Message me if you're interested and we can work something out!
> Big price range, you can buy everything between 100€ and over 1000€,
Could easily say the same thing about Seiko. Even goes higher with the Grand Seiko Line.
Seiko has kinetic drive? I dunno, you seem to love Citizen I won't take that from you.
But what about Sports Watches? Does citizen have anything to match this? Even with dressy watches with bracelets you got this and this
