So far the mophie or the Belkin wireless charger is certified or recommended (thus, the higher pricing?) .
But the other Qi wireless charger are so far so good.
This is the one I’m using and it’s great so far. iPhone X Wireless Charger, Seneo Standard Qi Wireless Charger(No AC Adapter) for iPhone X 8 8 Plus, Fast Wireless Charger Pad Stand for Samsung Galaxy Note 8/5 S8/S8 Plus S7/S7 Edge S6 Edge Plus
EDIT: I used to get the flat wireless charging but changed over to the stand like the one in the link, cause it allows me to charge and use my phone, at the same unlocking via Face ID.
I do not have these issues with my wireless charging. I bought a Chinese charging stand off Amazon for $19 and it works perfect. I don't have to move it around to get it to start charging. I can use it in portrait or landscape mode. It doesn't get hot either.
I've had it since I had the S7. I'll admit that I rarely have to use it with the S8 Plus. I take it off my charger at home at 8am and by 6pm I'm still at 70%. I only have to use it if I spend a lot of time in the basement here at work where I don't get a strong cell signal and that drains the battery super quick, even with wifi calling.
Just get a decently reviewed Wireless charger from Amazon like the one mentioned here. I've had a Seneo almost identical this one and it's over 3 years old and still working fine.

Go to Amazon and search for "wireless charger note 5".
Pretty much any of them will work. It just depends on how much you are willing to pay. If you can afford it, I would buy one of the wireless fast chargers such as this one.
Used / using this for my S8 and my S20+

It works through cases. However, if you have one of those magnetic phone mounts that has a metal back plate you attach to your case / phone, it'll block the wireless energy. Had to remove the case on my S8 each night to charge. With my S20 I was able to mount the metal plate high enough up on my case to not block the charge.
I have this one. I’m pretty sure the LED turns green when the phone is charged.
Seneo Wireless Charger, Qi Certified Wireless Charging Stand Compatible with iPhone 11/11 Pro Max/ XS Max/XR/XS/X/8/Plus, 10W for Galaxy S20/S10/S9/Note10/Note9, 5W for Other Qi Phones(No AC Adapter) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H76NIAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_I1UtFbJJPABWM
I had the water issue for a few days after giving my port a good cleaning (metal dental pic, compressed air) to get the compacted pocket lint out (that was preventing my cable from plugging in fully, which was keeping me from fast charging). After I cleaned it, took a shower with the phone -- I put it on the rack that holds my shampoo and such so I can listen to music and it started bitching after I got out. Mind you, I have been doing this shower thing with my phone for 1.5 years and never once had the water notification pop up until I cleaned the charging port out.
Took a hair dryer to the charging port which should have easily cleared out any moisture. Still the same water detection issue -- I'm thinking dust / dirt / lint was "shorting" the sensor and sending a false positive. Some googling told me to reboot the phone and plug the cable in while it's booting up and it'll clear the water notification. Which it did. However, for a couple days after that, each shower would annoy the sensor and I would have to repeat the above process.
Bought a wireless charger.
After a couple days, using the cable was fine and no more water notification was popping up after showers.
I use the wireless charger now for the most past unless I'm about to leave and I have to put my case back on the phone -- since the case has a big metal piece glued to it for my car mount, the metal prevents the wireless charger from working.
OP: Worse comes to worse, get a wireless charger. I bought this charger from Amazon and it's great -- aside from the whole case thing; but that takes 5 seconds to remove.
I can't find the exact model I bought but it looks a LOT like this one:
I have two and they work amazing.
Why don't you just pay $10 more and buy a wireless fast charger?
I've got the same issue. I had an old charger that would charge for 5 seconds, stop, then charge for 5 seconds, stop, and after a few cycles of that it would stop completely. I tried buying the fancy Samsung charger and have the same problem.
I also own this.. It works perfectly. I don't know why
I facetime my girlfriend a lot and it's a perfect way to charge my phone and facetime at the same time without having to touch it. Allows me to browse my computer while facetiming (I do not have a mac).
Also, it's incredibly convenient to just pick things up and put it back down at a set location. I use wireless charging when I'm at work and I come to my desk.
Sure the charging itself doesn't save that much time. But the fact that you can just drop your phone on the charger means I am more likely to charge my phone. It's just for the convenience. There are benefits for both types of chargers and yes, a downside to wireless chargers is that you lose the capability of charging while browsing/playing games/etc.
They're not for everything, but for the vast majority of people they're pretty damn useful in a lot of different ways.
Nice, i got a seneo fast charging wireless one.
i also have a usb current reader, so i could find the sweet spot of the wireless coils to get full potential (7.5 atm).
Def. affects the charge rate, for me to get full 7.5, i had to put some spacers at bottom of stand to raise phone up.... thicker cases i got less charge rate (maybe 4.o instead of full 7.5) (Charger i got https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H76NIAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
This is what I use: Seneo PA014 Fast Wireless Charger 2 Coils QI Wireless Charging Stand(Sleep-Friendly) - No AC Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H76NIAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_gUNbWgWuXa76h
I've had it for about four months and haven't seen any cons with it. I use my work computer to charge it, UT you can easily buy an AC adapter as well. It's not included.
I bought this one for my nightstand.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H76NIAS/
I don't have quick charging enabled, but with a 2A power source my phone can go from between 10-20% to 100% in about 1.5 hours.
The one you have will only get a maximum of 1A output.
I have the seneo wireless fast charger from amazon. Doesn't make a sound at all. Just hook it up to a 2A fast charger and it does wireless fast charging. I have it on my desk and I like it.
https://www.amazon.com/Seneo-Fast-Wireless-Charger-Charging/dp/B01H76NIAS/ref=sr_1_4?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1476246194&sr=1-4&keywords=wireless%2Bfast%2Bcharger&th=1 according to pics in this one, from 1% to 100% in 2 hours give or take
I'm using a Seneo that was bought from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H76NIAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
$20.00. I have 2 at home (the wife uses one) and one at work. I've had no problems.
This Seneo charger is only $11 and works great with my pixel 5. Charges in both portrait and landscape.

Not trying to be negative about this print. I feel like I've seen several versions of this and have always been curious, is there a reason people don't buy wireless chargers that are just upright to begin with? This is the one I've got:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H76NIAS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It does seem like the flat circular ones are like the most commonly depicted wireless charger, I'd guess maybe you just get one of those and then realize you want an upright one?
This 10W Seneo has been working well for me for the last 6 months. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H76NIAS
Had this for 2 years with absolutely no issues:
Here's the options. Either your case is messing it up, the charger is faulty, or it's not centered properly on the charger. I use a Seneo Wireless Charger that I bought way back for the Note 7. Still works fine, but I do have issues if its not centered properly.
I bought this one from Amazon and it has not failed me yet. Only thing you need a wall adapter as it only comes with the cable.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H76NIAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Q5.TAbSMR2JR7
Not sure about that one, but I use this one and it's been great.
Sorry if it was confusing. I meant is there a wireless charger like this:
that supports fast charging for the iPhone X.
I bought this thing when I had an S6 - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H76NIAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It also works with the S8 with fast wireless charging. That was a pleasant surprise when I upgraded to an S8+
I really like it as it works horizontal or vertical.
I ordered it on the 4th and then when the phone came out they had to issue the new one you linked. I had bad timing I guess =(
Dual Coil, $21. Using the Unicorn Beetle case, charging works in portrait or landscape.
I bought their other model and it works fine as well. Not sure what the difference between the two is though.

I'm using this one & I love it!
Seneo Fast Wireless Charger QI Charging Stand for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Note 5 S7 S7 Edge https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H76NIAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_pFbdybEQBVEZ9
It works through all of my thin cases just fine.
Plug for Seneo Wireless Charger. It's pretty cheap, works really well, and looks nice too. I'm using the Lumsing Multi-Port Charging Station and it works decently, but I think you can get things that are better for cheaper (I got this one at a discount).
