For reference, I am no audio expert at all. I never worried about sound quality and prioritized cheap vs quality until now. I have owned several cheap headphones and now I want to upgrade.
I want them mostly for Destkop PC uses, working, gaming, films, music... I actually own a Sennheiser PC 320 headset that i feel really comfortable and can use for hours. I am usually surrounded of people and sounds, and I can hear every bit of sound arround me even with volume set to max.
So I want to leave the headset behind and use some headphones + destkop mic/modmic.
I recently bought a pair of Sony MDR 1000X, but couldn't make them correctly work with my PC and had the (apparently common) squeaking on the left side. So I returned them and bought a pair of ATH-M50x thinking of the isolation that closed back would provide could be a good option, but I feel them too opresing and felt hot and heavy only with a couple of hours of use.
So here I am, thinking on returning these M50x and buying something else, but I'm out of ideas and I need your help. Thanks in advance.
Budget: sub 200 GBP, firm. Sub ~150 is ideal.
Source: Laptop, gaming use.
Isolation: Unnecessary. I'll be using these in my bedroom, it's more to not disturb flatmates (there's a wall between me and anyone else). No public use planned. I'd like open air headphones.
Type: Full size, over ear please.
Tonal balance: overall balanced.
Past headphones: the earbuds that came with my phone. I'm not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination.
I'm after a pair of over-ear, open backed headphones for gaming (I can't really hear myself talking with the closed ones I have now). These won't be for public use, but more so that I don't disturb my flat mates with gaming noise. Something with a built in mike would be nice. I did find these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-PC320-over-ear-gaming-headset/dp/B005HWEZ02/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1474708963&sr=8-5&keywords=open+air+headset which seem to be everything I'm after, but I would like other opinions.
You could try these? I've never tried them, I just know that Sennheiser make very good headphones for their prices.

Sennheiser PC 320. Quality Audio, better mic quality than the Razer Kraken pro and comparable logitech headsets, comfortable, $100. They aren't the most flashy or scream 'G4MER' like others do, but they get the job done well and it's in your price range.
Note: If you are looking for deep bass, you will have to look elsewhere. These are a bit light on the bass.
