Unfortunately, seems like you're not getting a ton of good help here.
FWIW, I bought a small fire safe off amazon, and I'll just duck the whole watch box in there if I'm gone for an overnight, or when the cleaning folks come, or whatever. I think I caught it on sale for like $150.
(Note: it's heavy as fuck, hope you don't have to lug it up stairs).
It's also just generally good to have a fire safe. We're all becoming adults. Keep your passport and other important shit in there. And, public PSA: store a set of backups in there. You, and your data are worth it.
Now, since it's a fire safe, you're actually not supposed to store watches in it for longer durations due to possible moisture issues of a fire safe. So along with some extra heavy duty silica gel packets i bought, I'll also just wrap each watch up in a freezer bag (or two, if i'm feeling OCD), when I'm going to be gone for prolonged periods.
The safe is about 3 meters from my dresser where the box normally sits. Keeps it simple that way. Takes 2 seconds.
Also, since I realize I'm posting this publicly on the internet... the combination is 1-2-3-4.
