I use this notebook and I like it. The pages are thick (which is good because I use markers) and the cover is nice. There's no page numbering or anything, which I prefer but ymmv. Though it seems some of the newer models come with page numbers now.
Great reviews, the right number of pages, and had everything else you asked for. I want one myself but want to get through my other notebooks first. The different colors go on sale at different times and you can also sometimes find a coupon for extra savings on top of that. Saw one up for $13 a couple weeks ago and I should have snapped it up then lol
I've found that the big name brands that people tend to gush about such as Moleskine, Rhodia and Archer & Olive to name a few aren't actually that good at all.
Some obscure brands that I've found and find to be exceptional are Bindewerk, Tekukor and Seqes
I ordered this notebook from Amazon last night before looking for this subreddit. Is this journal ok for markers and watercolor?
I can vouch for the quality of the SeQeS on Amazon. I've used two now and they're every bit as nice as A&O.
My first bujo was a LT1917 and abandoned it after a few months because the quality was just aweful. I watched a YT video a couple of days ago and yt'er covered the most common bullet journals as well as some unknown bullet journals with 160 gsm. You'd be pleasantly surprised to know that the best journal in regards to lack of ghosting and bleed through is not the most expensive.
SeQes is the best and is available on Amazon. I bought one several months ago for $16, but it looks like they have some updated cover designs now which bump the price up to $20. Here's the video and here's the blog post so you don't have to sit through the entire video. Scroll down to see the comparisons.
Of course you have to sacrifice something for that price and paper quality. SeQes does not have page numbers and the dots might be ever so slightly off. By "off" I mean offset, like the dot rows on the left are slightly higher on one side versus the other. It doesn't bother me as much as the bleed through and ghosting, though. So it's up to you.
